Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. A small amount of the staff can be rude and Ive even heard them yelling at costumers. The lines can be out the door but if you come at the right time it isnt an issue. This branch is way under staffed. I placed my bills in my mailbox and put the flag up. Didnt see a Post person in over three days so I had to deliver my mail/ bills to the Post office myself. So my bills are late now.

Itd be cool if Id get my packages instead of an email saying it cant be delivered. I was to get Mt package and was home all day never once did the mail truck drive by but says they were unable to deliver my package

If you get here at the right time, its easy and great without issues. I just never seem to get here at the right time and end up waiting for 45 minutes just to pick up a small package that theyre having issues delivering (I havent had a carrier at my house in 3 days)

When I am expecting specific things such as checks or documents it would be nice if they were delivered on the day they are supposed to arrive!😠😡🤬

I have never had a bad customer service experience, until yesterday morning. I was there to pick up my packages as soon as they open. I only got 1 yellow paper instead of 2, so i ask politely and kinda confused. The clerk, her name is Wendy, she is a rude person with attitude, she treated me very badly to the point that I felt so much anger towards her. She shouldnt be allowed to deal with customers

I am sorry Amanda Vincente if you thought I was rude to you. I try to be nice to everyone who comes in. We are very understaffed and overwhelmed with customers yelling at us all day.

We are lucky if we get our mail delivered three days a week here in the Maple Run development in Chambersburg 17201. And it is the same elsewhere throughout the city. You can’t get a straight answer out of their employees at the post office. I figured it is best to mail your bills at the box outside the post office and hope they get picked up.

Wouldnt deliver a handheld cooler that both UPS and FedEx deliver routinely. They labeled it TEAM LIFT ..ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME !!! This is whats wrong with the USA government and employees.. laziness+incompetence and nobody gets fired for it. PATHETIC.

Does everyone leaving 1 star reviews not realize that this office cant operate at peek efficiency if they are understaffed? And that they are understaffed because people do not want to work these days!! Yes, mail is being delivered late. Yes, mail is being missed multiple days. Yes, its all taking longer than normal. You people going in there and screaming at the employees that actually DID show up tells me a lot more about you than these USPS workers. Trust me, they wish they had more help too!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Almost Everytime I have a package thats to be delivered they say the couldnt get to the door... I live right on the street nothing ever is blocking my drive way. The last time I was sitting out on my porch when they said they couldnt get to my door. Im lucky to get mail once a week.

We haven’t gotten any first class mail delivered in about four days. Walked across the street to the PO only to be told it hasn’t been sorted and they’ve had several carriers walk out. How can we pay our bills on time if we don’t receive them?!

They withold packages and try to charge you $$$ to pick them up even if they are prime packages. They also lie and deliver stuff without consulting Amazon and hand packages off to people who dont even confirm address. Also, they all never want to work to help you and when your request isnt a quick answer away they want to pass your problem on to someone else or just walk away. Also, they insulted me after leaving in front of other customers.

Mail service at Chambersburg Post Office is awful! Mail always ends up in someone else’s mailbox. I put two Post Cards inside my mailbox. Taped one to inside of the door. All post cards were removed from mailbox. Two times this year packages were lost and/or delivered to wrong address. It would great if carriers were held accountable for inadequate mail delivery!

It’s unfortunate that an American institution such as the U.S. Postal Service has experienced such decline. The President and Post Master General should be so inclined to SHUT IT DOWN. There is NO customer service at the Chambersburg location; in fact, I would argue that the site supervisor and staff actively strive to provide abysmal.. antagonizing.. aggressively slow.. intentionally irritating service. One would expect better service from a circus elephant. Their behavior is inexcusable, and as such I would encourage folks to refrain from entering this shameful mockery of a once prestigious, iconic American institution; tarnished by this location.

They don’t even pick up the phone. They don’t care if you file complaints. I get packages marked as delivered that they take back to post office. They are the hot mess express. Idk how there isn’t someone higher up than their office forcing them to meet a minimal standard

Has no issues delivering unwanted spam/junk mail on a near daily basis, but cant deliver packages in a timely manner that expedited shipping charges were paid for.

I have always had unpleasant experiences with the post office. Let me be the first to say that Shelly was like a breath of fresh air. She really went out of her way for me. That woman is amazing and deserves the recognition for being the way she is! Thank you Shelly for everything.

I feel compelled to review because mail service to my area of Marion-Chambersburg, PA 17202 has been awful, terrible in recent weeks, nothing positive!We have had NO mail service here all week, 4 days straight, very light, sporadic before that. Please send us our mail, we dont live in the middle of nowhere.

I cant believe that I couldnt speak to a customer service representative to file a complaint against my mailman. I have not received any mail since December 18, 2020. The mailman told my neighbor that he gets done quicker if he only delivers one end of my street and not the other, which is a cul de sac. Getting packages delived past 8pm is also pathetic.

Chambersburg Postal Service is the worst. Im lucky if I get my mail 3 times in one week. Its been 3 days straight now where my street hasnt gotten its mail. I hope the higher ups start to clean house and get rid of the dead weight.

My package was out for delivery, I literally live a block and a half away. Told package was undeliverable unable to access to deliver. How hard is it to open door to area where mail box is located and put it in it. But no they chose to deliver trash mailings and other junk mail but could not deliver the package. Then calling the post office only to be hung up on several times cause they could not be asked to answer. Now wonder why they are failing as a company with this kind of vile behavior. Shall spend more money to have things sent ups and fed ex. At least they care.

The worst customer service period. Im a local to the chambersburg area and a small business owner and I have never been more disrespected in my life, the post office supervisor is incredibly rude along with the staff and treated my wife like a 3rd class citizen, they lost multiple packages, took out items from one package then delivered it and now they lost a package for a neighbor and accused us of taking it and refused to deliver our mail until we found it for them. Illegally holding thousands of dollars worth of packages for our personal business for them making a mistake, i will be taking this to the office in DC and my lawyer is already contacted. Its sad because i have spent tons of money using them for my shipping needs and now i will be using someone else, would love to talk to someone in DC with customer service before this goes further

Wish I could give a zero. Every single time I get something that needs a signature, even though I am always home during the day, I always get a we missed you pink slip. I never hear a door bell ring or horn honk. Nothing. Every single time I end up picking these up myself b/c it will always go to the final notice b/c these people NEVER do their job. Today is a Holiday, I understand the post office is closed But there is a Postal Box inside the building, and it wont open to place paid parcels, if the box is closed due to the Holiday, Put a damn notice on the box too. I wasted almost 1 hour trying to open the box as was another customer.

My package is probably sitting within ten feet of me and the clerk at the counter would not let me just pick it up instead of letting it go out because she couldnt bother the parcel sorters.....are you kidding me? Nearly every package I have delivered is for some fabricated reason marked undeliverable or Ill find it on the ground next to the road somewhere even if it was small and easily could fit in my mailbox.

Asked for a form for hardship was told they would send it, never got it 2 weeks later 2nd call waited over 25 mins. If this was a business they would be out of business.Fed ex and ups at least it was only 7 mins.

Worst phone reception/recording system ever. Minutes worth of menu sorting, leading to no human beings. Called for reporting fraud mailings of checks, and after navigating several minutes of useless menus, supposedly leading to inspection service representative, it just kept ringing endlessly--no answer. Could not possibly design a worse service system if they tried ever so hard. Or perhaps they already have--by simply not staffing it.

When they cant find your address, they mark it as delivered. Then a week later they send it to the original sender under the pretenses that it was Refused by recipient. It has happened to the last 2 deliveries. Got a bunch of morons in the post office. Too bad there is literally NOTHING we can do. If the purge ever becomes real, Im going there first.

They usually have short wait times and efficient counter help. Shipped three packages and a letter, in and out in less than 10 mins.

Well, its a post office. Usually the people working arent rude or off-putting, but once and awhile you get one of those. They try to keep things moving at a steady pace. Parking lot sucks, and it is on a one-way street which can be annoying.

I constantly get others people mail in my mail box and they deliver my mail to anothers people mail boxes.

HORRIBLE! guy named Terry was awful, i shouldve known from the phone conversation to go somewhere else, but i figured id go because its closer to my job, i shouldve just went to the one in ship and traveled rather than deal with rude ass people.
