Stopped by, had to make a reservation. Called and did so for the next day. Arrived 10 minutes early and sat down after about 10 minutes he said he was running behind and hoped iI didnt mind if he took another guy first. I asked what choce do I have. He then started to tell the customer in the chair how rude I was that i couldnt wait a few minutes. I said I waited 24 hours and walked out.

I was pleasantly surprised. I entered and did not know you really need an appointment. So I recommend you call ahead and establish yourself with a particular barber. The place has surround sound and plays movies on several flat screens and a large wall it’s projected on. They sell merchandise much like Orange County Choppers. Very diverse. Can handle both old and modern day cuts. Multi ethnic interests. Very courteous and paid attention to detail. Inexpensive compared to most major cities. (I travel often). They just received another regular customer.

I have been coming to this barbershop for over 3years now and Im pleased with the quality of work and atmosphere this barbershop provides. It is a very diverse barbershop with an extremely diverse clientele. If you need a fresh a cut this is the spot to come too. The barbers are easy to talk too and you will develop a connection immediately.They have a pool table and a PlayStation to provide entertainment so the wait is not too long. Your better off driving the extra 15 min. to drive to waynesboro to Precision Image where you will feel welcomed and treated with respect. Not to mention the fact that you wont be rushed in and out the chair, ending up with a half ass cut... I am extremely disappointed with how my kids were treated at Mr. Js the other day after years of taking them there! Do yourself a favor and dont waste your money here! Ive now got to take my one son somewhere else and pay even more money for someone to fix where they messed up at!

Mr. Js Barber Shop is the only place in town that I trust with my haircuts for the past 6 years. I have tried other locations before, but the quality of service, attention to detail, and versatility at Mr. Js is above all others. I have utilized most of the barbers at Mr. Js and they all take pride in their work. There is a lot of diversity at Mr. Js and everyone is always having a good time. They have a nice big open shop with a tv, music, pool table, and a nice waiting area.

Stopped in while traveling through as I had had a hair cut botched by a super cuts. This was arguably the best haircut I have ever had. They arent in a rush to get you done and out the door, but take their time to make sure you leave satisfied. These guys are artists who take pride in their work. Liked the atmosphere too. Usually I go to the barber shop in Shippensburg because thats where I live but the person who shapes me up got in a accident so I Google what was the best barber near me and Mr.J pops up and I go there. I think his name was Rashid but he had on glasses. Came in told him what I want done and he said say no more my man. Did exactly what I ask for!...great shop great people there great job on my hair on EVERYTHING!!! Mr. Js shop is the best in chambersburg. I was recommended by a mutual friend and I knew he wouldnt steer me wrong! I dont know the men that work there personally but they are always nice, friendly and respectful. The environment is very inviting, clean and friendly. This is by far the GREATEST barbershop in the Franklin County. It is actually located at 201 S. Main Street, Chambersburg across from the M&T bank. Great Location!! (It used to be located at 58 S. Main Street). This may even be better than the other barbershops in the area as well as Harrisburg, Waynesboro or even Hagerstown and Frederick. I know of people that travel from these mentioned areas just to get a haircut at Mr. Js Barbershop. The atmosphere is upbeat, professional, and respectful. You can call and ask for an appointment to avoid the wait or if you choose to walk in and wait, its worth it! My boyfriend has been going to the shop for the past 5 years and he will not go anywhere else. The barbers are well experienced and talented. I highly recommend anyone to go this barbershop. They cater to the entire public: professionals, military, law enforcement, veterans, teachers, kids, teenagers, any ethnic group and any hair type......ANYONE!!! Females also stop in for line ups. Im from out of town (NC). Was visiting my in-laws. I needed a cut & googled this barbershop. Decided to go because of the good reviews. When I got there (1:30pm), there were 3 barbers (white guy-1st chair on the right, Puerto Rican guy/red hat-2nd chair on the right & a black guy 2nd chair on the left). I could have their ethnicities wrong. But anyways, there were about 5 people in front of me so I expected to wait a little. No biggie. They didnt have a ticket system so my guess was first come first serve. When I thought it would be my time to get cut by the Puerto Rican guy, he just stopped cutting. He finished with his last customer & I guess he went on break.He went in the back for like 20+minutes. Then he went out front to smoke a cigarette. He came back in and did something with the clippers then adjusted the music. It was a little loud & the songs that were playing had a lot of profanity in them. The barber on the left had a customer who had an infant baby that was crying. I just thought out of respect for the baby theyd turn the music down a little or at least play something without all the profanity. But he never called me back to get cut so Im like, Oh okay.Another customer walked in and after waiting about 3-4min, he went straight back to the barber in the 2nd chair on the right. At this point Im thinking it must be by appointment. Finally the white guy finished & I got up and walked to his chair. When I thought I was about to get a cut dude said, Ah man, I cant cut your hair. I have an appointment at 3pm with Dru. And he would be pissed if I was..... At that point I pretty much was pissed off myself. And didnt really hear too much after that. I took out my phone and looked at the time. It was 2:55pm. So I waited an hour and a half for him to tell me that!? I dont know nor care about Dru and his appointment. While I was walking out I said, Bro, Im from out of town and just simply wanted a cut. He replied with, Its hard man. I just got in my truck, left and came straight to post this review.If I knew it was appointment only then I never wouldve went. And none of the barbers said, Hey my man, its gonna be a longer wait. I have an appointment at whatever time. Nobody said anything. So from a customer service stand point, I wouldnt recommend this barbershop. Seems to be a good fit for the locals and the regulars. But for a first timer, Ill never go back to that barbershop again. One of the worse barbershop experiences Ive ever had. I would give no stars if I could.

I never was cut properly, all the barbers were agressive, desrespectful, lacked good qualifications that barbers should have. Its sad since Ive always gotten a haircut by the same people but in a different location since I was a kid.
