Ive personally been there a few times when my daughters were younger. Theyre very helpful and I even stay in touch with one of the very helpful and always happy lady Jennifer. Her daughter is also very sweet and helps watch my two daughters when I need someone last minute. Theyre always happy to answer my questions and even bring my daughters to play and meet new friends. Ive never seen her or anyone else there be mean to the homeless. Sorry if you had a bad experience but I would recommend going there if you need help with food and like to meet new people.

Food boxes are much appreciated for those just starting a job, with little or no income. Good canned foods and staples like rice, noodles, and beans. Even got peanut butter and eggs. But do not expect anything sweet, it just isnt there. They had it on the app, if you want it just circle it, but dont bother because we never got it at all. Only bread products are those on the rack out front, day old hard baggets and french breads.

I know homeless people that go there for help but I was told the theyre mean to the homeless people. And the staff is very hateful to the homeless . And AJ a working is not a nice person at all. You need to replace the people there stealing from the salvation army

Very helpful, dont always call you back but keep calling them and itll work out*** @ salvation army, thats exactly what we did and I am very grateful, as overloaded as you guys are everyone should be happy to call, seriously though thank you!

I like to give credit to where its due. the cold weather shelter here in Centralia Washington which is in Lewis county fairgrounds is a blessing to the homeless in the community.whether youre young maimed old or destitute this place gives a bad food in a place to stay with his warm and helps to get you succeeding in the right direction.These are all good people to work are all the guys and girls theyre totally awesome.they care and theyre here to help and they go out of their way to really make a difference.Lets support our local Salvation Army here in Centralia Washington cuz it really needs help.For those who are doing good and have money . Lets help the less fortunate I support this place.Doing the most good is still local Centralia has its need. LIFESAVERS! Literally. The people here are so kind and thoughtful and go way out of their way to help u in any way they possibly can. They kept my family and I fed and clothed and provided hygiene products (and more!) when we were so down wed given up hope on ever having a better life - the Salvation Army not only restored our hope, they helped us achieve our better life!

The receptionist was very sweet. They gave me 4 AWESOME face masks( they fit snuggly and dont cover my eyes.) And they gave me so much food! Great place

Hygiene center is a good place to go when needing to shower. Laundry is also available. I highly recommend this place.

I donate about 25 lbs of eggs there every Friday. Great people, especially Jill. If you need help, go see them!!

The Salvation Army is put on a tier above all others because they genuinely care about the ones society would rather leave behind. They not only care, but they help any in need when no others are even concerned about us...

I drove a person to this place to pick up their childrens Christmas gifts..... Wow!What an eye opener. These folks truly care about people and ALL their needs.Not just at Christmas. 👍👍

They are a help line. They have showers and washer and dryers for people that dont have a place to do so. They also help with food and holiday meals. Nice and warm invierment. I have noticed they dont have a cow if they bring there fire babys in the building.

The new group of people and volunteers working here are great. No matter if in the food bank building or handing out food in a parking lot. Always well organized and welling to help. They always have a smile even behind a mask. Thank you all for all the help over years that you have given my family.

I had an amazing time working here during the summer with the program Salvation Army Cultivating Youth Farm Program! All the faculty are extremely polite and fun to work with. What we did during the summer was we grew vegetables and fruits for the food bank within the Salvation Army and gave it out to the homeless that were in need. Overall, this is one of the most fun jobs I have ever taken part in and it gives you a good feeling when you know youre helping so many people.

The Salvation Army in Centralia is a wonderful place to go. The are very courteous and helpful people. I like the way they run this location

I cannot say loud enough how amazing the ppl are here. They help anyone even if you dont love in there town. They are friendly, happy and sure show there love for the ppl

This place has been a life saver for so many people. I use to volunteer here many years ago. The shower station and laundry facilities are new since I worked here. But they have many resources for those whom are in need of help in the community.

There have been some major changes at the Salvation Army in Centralia. I dont go often but when I do, I am treated with respect and I am given so much information. The staff has made it easy for people to visit to get a food box or get some diapers because things have gotten tight. They inform everyone of special events such as barbecues and United Way giveaways. There used to be a crabby person working who made people feel small but that person is either no longer there or has moved to a different department all together. The gentleman with the bald head in the back is so generous and very sweet. He had some stuff in his van that were not up to snuff for the food boxes but allowed people to take them if they were willing to use them. They also put out cold cold water for the summer for everyone to get some even though they are not a cooling station. Seriously these are people who care about their fellow man. KUDOS

When our family was at its lowest point we went in to see what resources they might have. Their staff and volunteers went above and beyond what we even thought possible. I am usually the one who is quick to help others, it was hard for me to ask for help, much less to accept it, but we had run out of options. They made me feel at ease, tried to make me understand that sometimes its better to receive a hand up than to buckle under the pressures to provide. We would honestly be homeless again if they wouldnt have helped us. We are EXTREMELY thankful for the help we received from this organization. Hopefully we wont need such assistance again, but if we did I would feel comfortable asking them.

I had called them to get help and the lady on the other end just said no! and I had to ask her why and then she explained to me why but still she was very rude and inconsiderate. They need to learn customer service skills cause they definitely do not have any!

Maaaaaaaa not to make satisfaction there were to many Mexicans taking advantage of whats being offered over half the room of people was Mexican for getting the Christmas toys and food the Mexican in front of me got her three year old daughter a baby projector thats meant for new born babys and three or four month olds not three year olds I guess its take what you can get in this day and age man whats this world coming to

I had a very nice exchange with the staff when I showed up--unannounced--with a carload of frozen food from our center. They readily accepted the food for distribution to those they serve and told us to they would continue to take such donations in the future.

I stayed here for the trip to stp staff was very courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Its ok. But today it reeked of cat piss. Their computers were down so they dragged out the process to get food even if you had the card they gave you.

Truly an amazing place. The staff was more than helpful and extremely nice.
