Very good selection of machines and weights along with the pool and sauna options make for a great place for a workout

I take my daughter to the hydroworks class on Wednesday and we really enjoy it! The instructor is awesome with the kids and is great with different age groups. She’s five and has really grown more confident in just a few classes 😁 Also enjoy that it’s a small class!

The gym closed in Rochester, meaning the next nearest gym location is 15min away by car (in Centralia). Once this happened, I went to cancel my membership (during the lockdown) and they informed me that even though I couldnt use their services, I would still be billed for that month. I could of course use this one month credit AFTER the lockdown ends. When I came back after the lockdown had ended, I was informed that because I canceled my membership I would have to pay again to reactivate my membership! Scammers. However after being given the turnaround by thorebecks twice, I have finally canceled my membership. Good riddance.

The place is just too crowded. I still go here but if you go to lift weights theres always a bunch of people.

Wear a mask entering and leaving. Otherwise up to you if you wear one while exercising.

Having to reserve time and a station to work out at is a pain, but you do what you have to do. Staff are doing their best to keep equipment sanitized. Its good to be back.

They never answer their phones (Centralia location) and they never call back if you leave a voice-mail . Ive had to physically go there to get any answers or sign up for any lessons

Your place is awesome to meditate and lift and relax. But the only issue is Thorbeckes is very dirty. Please You need vacuuming. mopping, and dusting. The machines and equipment i wiped down on my last vist was very filthy. Dirty and very surprised! Usually everything is clean but not early Friday the 11th about 3am. Again everything was very dirty on ground floor... Sorry

Friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful array of options from weight machines to free weights to a dedicated cycling studio and so much more. Definitely worth the price.

When the hot tub was working it was a great place to swim, but the hot tub been broke for years so I dont bother driving there anymore

A great pool for lessons, rec and lap swimming. Clean and well managed. Experienced knowledgeable friendly staff. Worth every penny.

Allows pickle ball games which don’t require masks and allow physical contact. But don’t allow basketball with family members.

Going into their facility is like entering the tent from Harry Potter. It looks minimal but it has everything plus some! Huge weights room, plenty of bikes, ellipticals, tread mills and more. Theres a basketball court upstairs and the bright and open room where they hold there classes. The locker rooms have a lot of great features like wet and dry saunas, lots of day and monthly rental lockers, and plenty of showers. Theres even an ironing board and iron!!

I go for the pool. Its awesome!

Has all the basics and a few above and beyonds. Childcare is pretty hit and miss for quality. Gym staff stay out of the way for the most part. Not as busy or intense as other gyms Ive been to.

They closed for Covid-19 (understandable), then became unavailable to freeze my account. It took 2 weeks to contact them. Had to go thru FB. They processed my payment then agreed to freeze my acct. They have yet to refund my $. You get that? They closed, continued to process payments, and shut down their customer service so people cant freeze their accts. I hope they are still paying their employees and havent applied for emergency PPP loan.

Good pool, had a great time doing laser tag. Looks like a great place to work out and play basketball. I am not a member, just used the two facilities. Also, my son got physical therapy from Thorbeckes in Rochester and we are very happy with the service.

Im addicted to my HYDROWORKS water aerobics class. M-F @11 am. I have lost 22 lbs and dropped from a size 20 down to size 16!! ABSOLUTELY HOOKED!!

I have been charged $170 from thorebecks and I have not been able to go to the gym since March 15th!! How is that right?? I would give zero stars if I could!!

Great facility for swimming, basketball, racquetball, or all your workout needs. My wife loves the classes and they look fun with lots of participants. Their Chehalis location is newer and cleaner overall but I prefer these amenities to a rock wall or tennis court.

This gym creates a great atmosphere for people of all ages, body types and abilities...Im especially pleased with the inclusion of the Jump program as well as some of the senior services it offers.

The Crossfit Sentry is awesome and super friendly has been awesome. If you are serious about working out and want a trainer and group to do it with, this is the place. Im overweight, and not that in shape, and I still make it. From day one Travis, Kerry, and Sam have been very good trainers. Its all encouragement, no judgement, and they let you work at your pace doing modified moves if needed. I like the culture and energy at Sentry Crossfit. Give it a try, its a great and friendly place!

Thorbeckes has multiple locations, and a lot of different activity options. Great for individual or group fitness. The only issue I have experienced is that the cardio equipment isnt well maintained, sometimes the treadmills and elipticals get close to unusable before they are fixed or replaced. Staff are always friendly, good rates, and no contracts. Overall a good fitness center.

The staff at the front counter were pretty rude about answering my questions. Im a college student so I wont be home from school for very long so I couldnt buy a reoccurring membership and I kept asking about month to month but they kept shutting me down. Finally after 20 minutes of stress they said they forgot that I can pay month to month but I have to pay almost $30 more to do so. Not recommending any of my friends to go here.

Read the fine print. I never thought this awesome place would become a money trap. But somehow they did for me. I wrecked my car a while back and fell on some of the hardest times of my life. Ive always been good with paying my bills, if I couldnt I made sure I got the money somehow or talked to whoever I owed the money to. All of the services I use are amazing at helping customers who are in tight spots who have been consistent in payments, I make sure they are because Im young and have to stand on my own a lot and dont want to get myself in debt. But thorbecks....theyre greasy and I found that out the hard way tonight. I called them after I got in said wreck asking to cancel my membership immediately. They said I needed to come in and sign a paper, even though I made it clear over the phone I couldnt and theyd have to mail it because I had no way to get there without my car or my job that I lost with my car. But they didnt listen. Instead they sent my number to a financial collection agency i had never heard of that called upwards of 3 times a day and resembled a robo caller scam, telling me in vague terms to get in and sign the paper or Id owe them money. No one listened when I said I literally had no way of doing this, please mail it, Ill sign it and send it back. Eventually I got fed up with it and blocked the number. Even though I blocked it, I set it up in my phone to still pop up in my notifications if they called. It remained a ridiculous amount of calls for a while, then it dwindled. Then it went to nothing. And I forgot about it amongst trying to turn my life back around and get back on my own two feet. Im almost there, ready to leave for school, about to do things Ive wanted to do for a long time, Im literally ready, and I get a letter in the mail from thorbecks saying I owe them $100 by the end of next week regardless of whether or not Ive used their facility since the whole drama started or they will send my account to collections who will then take $167.63 out for thorbecks and themselves whether I consent or not. Im FAR from happy. I feel taken advantage of and poorly treated, swindled honestly. They dont even get a half a star in my book, if I have the choice to not give any on a review I wont. Yes it was my fault for not getting in to sign the contract, but at this point theyre not giving me an out or an opportunity to stand up for myself (not that theyd listen anyway) and never once tried to work with me on it. Im in the hole at LEAST $100, and sooner than Ill have it to spend. Im 18, new to the world, and thorbecks of all places, not a bank, not a loan, is the first establishment to teach me about debt first hand. So I guess just go into this knowing what I did wrong and knowing the kind of people work in the financial department so this crap doesnt happen to you. READ THE FINE PRINT.

I have used their showers multiple times. Filthy, dirty. Mold growing in some of them and no one cleans the hair trap. Ive tried the Rochester facility as well as Centralia facility both are disgusting. I cancelled my membership after 4 months of cleaning it out myself. Not a good value for your dollars

Equipment outdated and childcare minimal on weekends. The children’s play center in Centralia is old and appears dirty. The Chehalis one is cleaner however neither center have slides or jungle gyms . You’re just dropping them off in a room to have more Screen time ( unfortunate).

I always end up getting a membership I dont use. But thats life. The Fit Life! Ahhh, puns. But yeah, they are nice here with good equiptment.

Air conditioned workout, clean machines, pool, hot tub, nice showers. Well worth the memberships. Wifi, snacks, juice and keurig coffee available at the front desk.

I look forward to going to the gym every day!! One of my favorite places to go and it makes my day better :)

My suggestion, if possible go at night. It isnt crowded and youll have free range of all the equipment.

Do not book a kids party here. Bookee a laser tag party here for my sons birthday and showed up with 20+ people to find out they werent set up and then couldnt find the keys to the equipment and cancelled my sons birthday party.

Cons:They need to install a new hotub/jacuzzi ....only gym in the two towns that has one. 5 out of 7 jets dont work. Out of the two that do work, one is right on the steps of the entrance. Unless you want a Lewis county finest hobbling over you to get in (you dont).Lots of people use it regardless, crowded and inefficient please fix. The only wet sauna in the Centralia gym doesnt work either.The Chehalis gym closes super early and summer time closes even earlier. If you work swing shift the is no Chehalis gym and no jacuzzi for you in Centralia, sorry.pros: not crowded. Pool is awesome with Friday movies. plenty of weights. the front desk people are great. Neither Centralia or Chehalis gym is really crowded. basketball courts in the Centralia as well make for a good pick up game on Sunday.over all 2 stars for not replacing that jacuzzi, wet sauna issues, and early closing times in Chehalis. Pretty much the things I need most out of my gym to recoup my body from the toll of work.fix those and its a five star lifer.

Kind of pricey at $90 bucks a month, too bad theres no other option in town. I will be driving to Tumwater for now.

I tried to cancel my monthly subscription over the phone but they refused. They said it was a policy that i had to come in to cancel. 5 months later i get a letter saying im being sued by a collection agency for $500. Stay away from this gym.
