Ray is awesome. Nothing strikes terror into my heart quicker than water leaking and when its on my roof, Im a wreck. These repairs are totally outside my limited repair expertise. When I first spoke with Ray about a leak in the solar heating system for our swimming pool, we made an appointment for week out. He then called the next day, saying he had finished another job early and could look at ours in 10 minutes. He showed up promptly and fixed the leak even quicker. I couldnt be more impressed. Great job, great price, great person--we highly recommended Silk Road Environmental.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Ray Lam, we would rate him a 10 out of 5 if we could! He installed our solar water system a few years ago. He did a great job, from start to finish. From finding the best location for the system through getting it installed into a complicated existing system that had been modified when the house had an addition put on. During the installation, everything went smoothly and the cleanup did too. Unlike many contractors, Ray educated us all along the way, even after the installation. We have emailed him a few times and he promptly calls us to answer our questions and check in. He always seems to have an answer and/or a solution for us. His knowledge is phenomenal.He recently came by to make a minor repair to our system and he arrived when he said he would, he was thorough in checking out the system, prepared with tools equipment and of course the knowledge to get it working.We know that we started saving on our energy bill immediately after the install and are so glad we used Silk Road to do the work. We had talked to several companies and didnt really feel comfortable until we met Ray Lam. We highly recommend Silk Road!

I can not say enough regarding Ray Lams knowledge, skill set and dedication. I had a fairly complicated system to install and Ray was incredible about design, implementation, installation, follow through and support. Also, Ray is a great communicator and will train and educate you on the fly. Ray is also an excellent listener and so very easy to work with. Ive been chatting with Ray Lam (owner) since 2011. Its so rare and such a benefit to be able to speak with, to work with the owner of a local company. To work with someone who gives freely of his expertise and encouragement for the clients project. Ray has a CAN DO outlook and its contagious. Ray Thinks Globally and Acts Locally, creating local jobs in manufacturing and installation. Not-to-mention offering job training for youth in the Renewable Energy market.Ray cares about the most economical and environmental solutions for your individual situation. In 2011 Ray was happy to visit my home and farm, offering and discussing a variety of options. Everything from a simple, basic setup for domestic hot water and/or radiant flooring to eliminating the problem of frozen water for the horses and livestock.Fast forward (slow motion by me) to 2015 and I finally purchased a Sapphire and Mini Lava - first for the house radiant flooring and second for an off grid container house plan. Slow motion again to 2017 and I asked at the last possible minute, could Ray install the Sapphire at the house - for this 2017-2018 Winter ?!?!It was like it was just yesterday that wed first started talking. Ray was willing to squeeze me in, despite being booked for months. Of course - after six years from his first visit - he needed to look at my set-up again - which he did willingly. And then he scheduled the install in the middle of the holiday season!The install was flawless on Rays part. But there was a manufacturing issue on the new HW tank. Ray was there to solve the problem within 24 hours of reading my texts - despite being out of town. NO charge for the fix. I couldnt be happier with Ray or his product. Ray provides a customized owners manual with pictures of your system. I cant wait to see the results in the PUD bill, smile.PS - Ray gave freely of his time - spending at least an extra hour explaining the system to my 22 year old grandson and his friend. Ray was doing exactly what he preaches - getting youth excited about the SOLAR possibilities.

I needed my system to be repaired so that I could accept an offer and sell my house and he was there the next morning! In just a few hours he had the system working perfectly and ever certified it for the new owners. He was a genius at diagnosing my complicated solar and infloor heating system and was very honest, provided great information (even a operations manual for the new owners) and did not charge much for his services. Ive had this company work on 2 solar water heaters now and I can not recommend them enough. The products are good quality and the customer service is amazing. Ray not only installed the system quickly, but he has answered every single issue or random question I have had about it over several years now.

I agree with all the glowing reviews for Ray. My solar hot water system has had very few problems in the 6 years Ive had it, but when Ive called Ray he usually answers or calls right back and helps over the phone or comes out and fixes the problem. You couldnt find a nicer guy to do business with. Thanks for always being there Ray.

Ray and his company are the best that we interact with. Not only is solar hot water totally amazing and a no brainier Ray takes customer service to a level even higher than Nordstrom. We look forward to working with Ray again soon.
