The company started out with great service, but during the pandemic, it quickly went downhill. When I decided to cancel the service, the agreement (which was confirmed in an e-mail) was that all charges would stop after December 2020. Well, here we are in June 2021 and they have placed multiple random charges on my credit card since February. I tried several times to reach out to them about it and they refuse to respond or acknowledge my emails and calls. I am now working with my credit card company to refute the charges. I hardly ever give companies bad reviews publicly, but their utter lack of professionalism is appalling. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Horrible. They do not get back to you in a timely fashion when you have questions, concerns, or need support. They have poor communication with their providers, on even simple logistics such as who I contact when I have what type of question; who handles billing, who handles your portal, etc. And if there is a change in staffing, you are not notified so you could be contacting someone and they may not even work there any longer or they may have changed positions and you werent notified so they arent answering your calls or emails because it doesnt pertain to them. Billing remittances are very slow. If they help you with contracting with insurance providers, once they complete the contracting process they bill you monthly a ridiculous amount of money per session billed to that insurance provider. I set up an account for them to take billing out of on a monthly basis so it is one less thing for me to juggle, and after a year they still send me a billing statement in the mail. I have called them numerous times asking them to take directly from the account provided and every time they say they dont know why they havent been doing this and will make sure to do this next time and not send a bill. EVERY TIME. Horrible. Horrible service.7/23/2021 review update: I thought I would update my review. In the past few months I was given a new staff member handling remittances for my account. Her name is Stephanie E. She has been doing a fantastic job and has had great communication with me. My only current complaint is, and it has nothing to do with Stephanie as she has no control over this, there is still information on KASA that I am unable to see. The process to pay their fee isnt the most convenient, and even though they have a card on file they still forget to use that for billing. And I feel their fee is a little pricey compared to other companies for similar services.
My experience is that Kasa is an unprofessional company regarding communication, organization, follow through on what they say they will do in a timely manner, and attentiveness to their job to keep my account and billing questions up to date. Individuals are kind people, but I am paying this company to take care of any billing issues I have, and I am the one who is continually catching the issues. One example is that my telehealth session were not being covered in December by one insurance company due to a glitch in the billing system. I had to continually press the issue to be heard and to have someone follow up accordingly. I was relieved to finally have this issue resolved as well as a couple others I had caught, however, again was promised follow through on the transition from onboarding to having a support person for billing, and have e-mailed and called many times with no response. This has been the norm for e-mail and voice-mail communication--to receive no response often or very inconsistently--or to be told I will receive an e-mail and to have no follow through. I have also often had scheduled meetings forgotten, changed at the last minute, or asked to change due to not being prepared at the time we set. The person who was assigned to my account for billing took over one month to respond to simple questions that I had. I would not recommend this company to any professional in need of billing support services.
I reached out to KASA Solutions regarding their billing services for my private practice. The first scheduled call, I never received, but was also unavailable unexpectedly. I will also say that I had to schedule out weeks in advance for this call. At that time, I did receive an email telling me that I was unable to be reached, but I never received a missed call notification or a voicemail.The second time I had a call scheduled, no one called me. I emailed the last person who had emailed me to verify if we were scheduled, and never received a call or email back. The whole experience felt like I was dealing with bots and not real people, and at minimum was incredibly unprofessional to say the least. Ill be outsourcing my needs elsewhere, to say the least.
Do not use this service. We have been using them for 6 months. They have not gotten back to us in a timely fashion. They are not following up on remittance like they promised. They did not successfully onboard us. If you want to be left to do your own billing and if you enjoy having unanswered questions without any communication then this is your company. Otherwise look anywhere else. UPDATE: 1/27/21 We have had technical issues with how the paperwork looks when printed from the online forms. They are random symbols that get put in and they have not fixed this. We have been complaining about it since October. Additionally, they plan on increasing the percentage I pay them despite the billing errors that they have not caught. They are unprofessional and do not do what they promise. Do not use this service. Hire a monkey instead, It would be more effective.
I can see why people left positive reviews in the past - when I started with Kasa early in 2020, things went well. However, around June-July, my account manager abruptly quit and my services nearly ground to a halt. I started receiving replies to emails around 2 weeks after sending them, billing questions or changes went unanswered for months. Next, verifications went undone - I still have around 10 outstanding that I began seeing in the beginning of October. And now, theyre threatening to charge me a fee for leaving despite their not fulfilling their obligations. Dont be like me, find somewhere else to suit your billing need before youre trapped!
I cant express my frustration as a billing specialist in behavioral health. This company does NOT keep up with aging accounts, no status on claims, and two of our major insurances are still not paid out with no updates nor do they respond to any of our emails. They are so unprofessional and no communication whats so ever. Do NOT HIRE them as your billing or EHR company if you want to be left clueless and broke!
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED. KEEP LOOKING!!!
I worked for this company for over a year and it was my first job out of college. I enjoyed working here and the management was very fair and understanding. Overall a great place to work and a company with a great values! I recommend their services as well.
