Ive worked in over-the-counter rentals for years, renting everything from box trucks to student violins. Home Depots rental department is okay and the people Ive encountered here are good, but I think they overreach as to who theyre looking to help. Theres a lot of equipment here not paying its way, just sitting in the parking lot. Id simplify and focus on the DIY customer.

The man at the desk was helpful, explained what I needed to know to run the machine I was renting. I was in and out quickly.

They had what I needed at a fair price.

Helpful associates, great tool selection and availability, flexible with rentals. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the cost is a bit high. We will continue to use this service, thank you Home Depot!

After dealing with the guy in the tool rental at the First Ave store I can say Ill never buy anything from Home Depot again. He was rude, arrogant and didnt really seem interested in helping me. I used to get my Milwaukee tools there but I will find another place to shop. Even the people I was with asked, whats that guys problem.
