Im just the cleaner there. But from what I have heard and have seen it is an awesome place to go and hone your artistic abilities. Which from what I can tell they offer is, drawing, painting, and on Tuesdays stained glass, taught by George Madlon. They also have all forms of music. And other ways for you to just let your abilities flow.
The instructors love sharing all forms of art with their students. If you can afford.it they will help you. They never want to let money get in the way of a students opportunity and access to art. Great place, great staff.
Amazing people helping students discover the arts and music. They offer awesome classes for adults as well. I love this place!
I loved it its so cool staff there are super friendly and if you go for art thaley have everything you need.
Great place for getting started in artwork. Recomended.
My daughters skills and confidence grew immensely from the Creative Writing class taught through EIAA. The programs goals of affordability and bringing the classes to the schools helped me as a single mother; without that, my daughter probably would not have had the opportunity to participate. I personally have benefited from the Healing Hearts Class for cancer patients, survivors, and their care takers and families. Besides all the wonderful programs offered by EIAA, I especially appreciate how warm and encouraging all the staff are with the students. Children certainly flourish in a welcoming and non-competitive exploratory environment.
The Eastern Iowa Arts Academy hosted an art show for a friend. They even baked treats for the show! This place is great, they offer classes, teach kids how to play instruments, and even have a full recording studio. If you are interested in the arts, check this place out!
A great place for your kids to find there colorful side.
The google user who wrote the review was not referring to the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy. They were speaking about the previous business that occupied the facilities. Eastern Iowa Arts Academy is an amazing organization which provides enriching arts opportunities to children, youth, seniors and individuals with a wide variety of special needs.
Great place! Friendly staff! I love how they help the community.
Took the Beveled Hearts Stained Glass Class w/Instructor Gerge Madlon, he us a great teacher, had a blast in his class :)
My daughter has been attending for years. We cannot get enough of the love, support, and encouragement the academy and its staff provides.
The people here are awesome.
I have been going to the eastern Iowa arts academy for over a year and its been amazing. This had been the best year of my life because of the EIAA. I have learned the bass guitar and done many songs, and I have preformed, and I will perform again with both of my bands. We meet every week. Plus a Saturday open studio ever week with 20 kids at least. Plus a monthly teen hang with a consistent 30 kids each month were we eat food, talk, and do fun activities. The staff is absolutely amazing. We have a director of the music and arts studio Heather Wagner, she brings in many professional artist for the kids every week and holds a class every weekday and runs the Saturday open studio. We have Suzanne Palmer who coordinates all the after school activities at many different schools. In the music cave we have 5 bands directed by professional musicians. We have Richard Wagor, Clint Cornell, Ryan Phelan, and Jeremiah Murphy.
