The tutors and staff at Sylvan have been so helpful and professional during this challenging year! They have managed to make my kid love math and look forward to his tutoring sessions. They always keep me updated on his progress with monthly meetings, and are always willing to customize his sessions depending on my sons school needs. They also offer great incentives and camps that make their rates very affordable compared to other tutors in North Austin. I highly recommend Sylvan and looking forward to bringing my son in for Summer camps.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with Director Compton and the team at Sylvan Learning of North Austin. Our second-grader has been enrolled for over a year and attends ~2-3 hours per week based on our schedule. I wrote a very nice review of Sylvan Cedar Park, not long ago. My feelings have changed. My daughter, over the course of a year, caught up to reading level. Her teacher says she is on level at math, but Sylvan says otherwise. Seems like they are trying to drain me of money. Today I was told that my $99/month bill would jump to $420/month, starting in 2 days!!!!! Really? That is just unacceptable. Look elsewhere...

My child started Sylvan Learning of North Austin previous school year as we were struggling in reading and math. Her original tutors because of current situation are not there due to age. Yet I will say the new director Stacy Gross has been my HERO! She has made this scary uncertain time go so smoothly. She and the Sylvan team stripped the center down hospital grade clean. Enforcing the mask and social distance rule with a positive fun way. She hasnt skipped a beat when it keeps to making learning fun and creative for kids. I can not say enough on how flexible and emphatic the director of Sylvan has been helping a family with a plan when the world is changing drastically on a daily basis! I would highly recommend Sylvan if anyone is seeking help with whatever issue their child may be having or if they simply want to sharpen and advance their skills in a subject. Ms. Stacy is the most understanding person I know when it comes to every childs current situation. She takes her job to a whole new level she is passionate and truly loves what she is doing. Keeps my child and her mom motivated on tips to work together constantly! Far beyond her call of duty.

Our son enjoys his time learning at Sylvan. He shows great progress and his teachers at school see the progress.

At first, my son was very bored for homework support thy put him in. But now, we switch to a different program and he seems to be liking it. Hoping a good result for this because this profram is not cheap but for the sake of your chil/childrenyou will do anything. Sylvan is not bad, we parents need to have patience to see the outcome of their work.

I was a student at Sylvan for their SAT Prep program and it was an amazing experience. Their program is designed in such a way that I ended up leveling more than 300 points on the SAT. Their curriculum is very well thought after and staff did an amazing job teaching me the basics and foundations of the exam so that I am well prepared. Sylvan has very cheap and affordable prices compared to other centers and their quality is impeccable.

My daughter has been taking classes for reading for almost a year. Her reading has vastly improved and we are very grateful. We recently added math lessons too.

We just started in February and it is going well. My 6 year old is ADHD. They have brought out learning activities where she uses her hands and I have seen that it helps her motivation to go to what she calls tablet class.

Bridgett is hands down the best teacher here. If you get her as an instructor, youll have a good time. Very high quality sense of humor and makes learning fun. Connects well with fellow younguns. Many memorable quotes as well as letting you start early sometimes so you can learn more. But overall the place is ok.

I sent dis-enrollment form over and over, still charging me. I had used Sylvan for years, but last 2 years poorer And poorer quality. Changed managers twice in last year. Not keeping up with with Professional office or quality of learning. I requested to dis-enroll feb 2020. Teresa Still Sending me messages and even charged me again 6/2020. I bet they received sm. business relief from government, And unable to have classes, yet still charging clients. For zero work!! Never would recommend.

Billing nightmare. 12 weeks of ELA study did not help our 3rd grade student. They require an old school print and scan form to be submitted 30-days prior to canceling which lets them bill you for a couple months once you realize theyre services are basically inline with a normal daycare. Do your child a favor and sign them up for the free non-profit online Kahn Academy. Far more effective and cheaper than this place.

Sylvan is a great education enrichment resource for students. My daughter despite really working hard struggled with Algebra I her freshman year of high school and I felt she was under performing in her other classes. I turned to Sylvan to prevent her from going through the summer brain drain. She liked the assistance and we continued through the next academic year and her grades really turned around. She just graduated and made the honor roll several times. I credit her turnaround with the great instruction she received from Sylvan teachers. But more importantly, they create a really caring and compassionate learning environment. They were there to listen to her as shared her concerns about the college admissions process and expressed self doubting during that agonizing waiting period. They kept reassuring her and she was accepted into seven (7) universities. I highly recommend Sylvan for any family looking to give their student the educational boost they need perform well in school.

Really disappointed, for all their promises on their website they fall way short, especially compared to other tutoring options.We signed our son for a 3 month trial, looking for help and tutoring on homeworks for a specific subject he was having problems with. Our expectation (based on what they promised) was that they would work with him and follow up on his grades and pending assignments.That was unfortunately not the case. His grades went further down and he was doing worse on homeworks during his time at Sylvan. At least at home we were sitting down with him and making sure he was doing what he should. While at Sylvan no one tracked his assignments and he would just go in and work on whatever he wanted. Sylvan promised checking with his school as well and that never happened.We reached out to them two months into the 3 month agreement to tell them the program wasnt working and his grades were worse, they promised follow up and again nothing happened.Even with the complaints, we completed the 3 month programs and after the third month they billed us for a fourth month. We told them day 1 we only wanted to try 3 months and we told them with more than 30 days notice that the program was not working. They still billed and pushed a no refunds because there was no written cancellationLook for a different option, their guarantee (at least for the tutoring option) is worthless and there is no real support for your kid. You are better off just having the kids work at home. Oh, and make sure you cancel in writing, otherwise they are happy to keep billing your card on file.

All the teachers are nice and will do whatever they can to help you. If you have enough points, you can get a prize. I think Sylvan is one of the best learning places I have ever went to. I highly reconmend going to Sylvan.

I highly recommend this location. The staff is friendly and work very well with the students. My daughter ASKS if she can go to Sylvan. She started out attending to help boost confidence in herself and skills. Now she attends Sylvan because she wants to attend during the summer months to keep her skills up for the next school year. She loves attending this location.

It was very helpful and the teachers are great. It has really helped me bring my grades up, and now I do really well in school.

Teachers were very helpful with concepts in math and my grades are improving sylvan is a great learning experience for everyone.

What an amazing staff! They have gone above and beyond for my son. My son was struggling in reading and writing, his school was even going to retain him. Jackie and I knew he could catch up and be where he needed to be by the beginning of the school year. Well after a lot of hard work Noah did it! He got caught up! He loves going to tutoring and never complains about it! The staff really care for my son. I could not be happier with the Sylvan Center. Noah loves all his teachers but his favorites are Janet and Deborah.
