This recruiting sub-station (RSS) treats everyone like family. In early summer of 2018 I was transferred here from a small recruiting office in Roswell, NM because I came home from junior college. The minute I stepped through the door not only did the Recruiting Staff introduce themselves but the young men and women whom were aspiring to earn the title of Marine did as well. Seniors in high school, greeting and introducing themselves with the professionalism and respect of adults. Traits that the Marine Corps embodies and represents. When I was blessed enough to earn an appointment to the US Merchant Marine Academy. The GySgt. and his staff assisted me by allowing me to process all my paperwork for hours in their office on their computers because I didnt have my own at home. I may have only been at that office for a month, but within that month I felt like I made an extended family with all the Poolees, they politely answer all questions anyone has about the Marines and they dont pressure you to join, the decision is all up to the potential applicant. Within the month, they helped me lose 10lbs and gave me the motivation to commit to something bigger than myself. They inspired me to strive to become the best I can be. I am still at the Academy today and am working hard every day to become a United States Marine Corps Officer.

This place was amazing to me. They gave me so many details about the Marine Corps and helped me with my stamina and strength. The atmosphere of this place is very laid back and relaxing. This office genuinely cares about you! They will sit you down and work through just about anything you need. They are great people with a great attitude who do everything in their power to further your career with the Marines.

My overall experience was okay. But what made me a tad upset is this, how can you tell someone they passed the test and then tell that person that they need to study more and that a follow up will be in a month. How do they know if someone will still be interested? Better yet I will not even answer my phone. What they want are brain surgeons and rocket scientists to apply for the marines. I truly wasted my time. I will never go to this branch again.

Everyone writes these crappy reviews saying how this place is a waste of time but it is a great place to be and it is full of people who legitimately care about you. It is by far the best recruiting office I have ever been to. They are very on top of everything and have all of your information processed as quickly as possible. Every marine in that building adresses you with the upmost respect and answers every question to the best of their ability. If I could leave a 10/10 rating I would because I have never once been disappointed with this place and I dont think I ever will.

The people in the office suck. They dont know what they are doing and give some crappy recommendations on how to loose weight. They dont anything about the different jobs or MOS they have in the same Marine Corp they are representing. They waste your time. Go to a different office if possible.

Waste of 6 months I always had to call them to find out info we talked 3 times in 6 months. And it took them 4 months and counting to send my medical records to the Meps station.
