I have been a customer of Sound Express for 3 years; having two cars worked on for radio, back up camera, speaker, and wiring. Each sales inquiry, purchase, and installation have been among the best customer experiences Ive had. Installer is very easy to talk and willing to answer any and all questions about the qualifications of the product, reason for procedure, and expectation of the product and experience. They arent pushy salesmen that try to sell the highest price item for the job, but readily informed me on different levels of cost vs performance.When given the chance, I recommend sound express to my friends and coworkers

Truly professional car-audio installers who know what they are doing and take pride in their work still exist!!!I’ve had a few shops/installers handle my car audio needs in the past and they never failed to disappoint. They all claimed to offer professional service but seemed to give the job to the new-guy and did little-more than run the wire and make it LOOK like a professional install was done. Every darn time I always ended up having to tuning it myself and breaking out the multi-meter and there were always small problems or cheap ‘fixes’ to encountered issues. -Experienced everything from shoddy brackets with a single screw holding it to the door with a rubber pad in-between to clipping signals and broken door panel clips. Due to these experiences, for the past decade I’ve done my own installations.This time however, I spent roughly 3x weeks looking for someone I could trust to work on my new baby. (It’s ‘just’ a BRZ, but shes still my pride and joy.)I had the absolute pleasure of working with David, of whom I corresponded with for a couple of days to ‘test the waters’ and eventually asked him to send me a quote. I provided a relatively firm budget and asked him to quote the best sounding setup he could while keeping the original OEM Head Unit. David sent me a quote containing Component Speakers, Sub, 2x Amps, a DSP along with estimated labor/materials.I had many questions that included “Why this brand/model of speaker?”, “What’s the difference between running the 2x Amps and DSP quoted rather than a 5-Channel Amp and a DSP or even an all-in-one solution?” and many…. many more. I originally wanted to go with Focal speakers but he recommended another set that he claimed sounded better (subjective I know) and would save me a few hundred bucks. David explained his, obviously well experienced, reasons and essentially educated me on why he recommended the quoted setup. Needless to say, I got well versed during the questioning phase and went full-steam-ahead with his recommendations… ***Spoiler*** I’m glad I did!Not only did he install everything and make it look OEM, from the factory, he also finely tuned everything. David showed me what volume level to stop at due to the OEM HU soft-clipping and had the equipment and data to prove it. (OEM HU isn’t as good as a quality aftermarket one…) and adjusted everything to sound pristine throughout the usable volume range. Crossovers/filters/DSP are adjusted perfectly; The sub and components are all separated beautifully, with the whole system sounding incredibly clean and precise.Due to circumstances, he needed an extra day to work on the install. During this conversation he also informed me that he wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the brackets supplied for the install and, due to the delay, he would custom make all four of them at no extra cost! I’ve heard of customer-service but hardly ever see it implemented these days!When I arrived back at his shop/residence to pickup my car, he had me go through my preferred genres of music and we listened to multiple tracks. During this time, he made minor adjustments to better suit my listening experience and took his time to make sure I was 100% satisfied before heading back home. Which was extremely appreciated, especially since his shop is an hour drive from where I’m currently staying.I waited two weeks before leaving any feedback as I wanted time for the placebo effect to wear-off and have time to gauge the setup. At the end of these past two weeks I can confidently say that Sound Express USA has made me an extremely happy customer and I’ll absolutely be reaching out again to have Dynamat installed and discuss possible additions 😉It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to write a review for something. However, I feel that if I didn’t do so now would be an egregious disservice to the complete and utter professionalism shown throughout this whole experience.Thank you again for everything David; So long you are there, so too will be my business.

I had a JVC stereo installed by Sound Express and the clock setting would not keep correct time. Sound Express had reset it once and it still kept doing it. The unit was under warrantee so next time he replace it and upgraded my unit to a Sony Stereo System at no additional charge. Was frustrated at first that I got a defective unit but satisfied that David with Sound Express took care of the problem to my satisfaction.

This gentleman offers 5 star mobile audio install. He worked with me for almost 2 weeks getting my whole install figured out to the smallest detail. He was very knowledgeable about the different brands he carried and made suggestions based upon my personal listening experience that I wanted to have. He was not just selling a product to his clients.Any questions that I had about technicalities or product information he took the time to text me or call me. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30, he contacted me the night me before and arrived promptly. This was a very large job he decided to take on and he stayed till 8:30 that evening to complete the job. He took his time and wired the whole entire car perfect, everything was tucked away nice and neat. He worked with me on placement of my amp so I still had access to my spare, but was still hidden out of sight.Although some may be concerned about payment, the payment is made through a legitimate and secure program. He honored all the the products and install, with no worries of me having to dispute anything with my CC company. Also the products he sells come with factory warranties and he will handle any issues should they arise.Mobile service was a convenient option, his service and personality made it even better. David stayed late fitting my radio multiple times to get the depth just right. He so tore a big hole in my backseat cover after I warned him and offered to remove it. This added an additional $90 to his service cost. Not to mention, he did not tell me about the incident, just left like nothing was wrong.

We had a very disappointing experience with Soundexpress USA. This was our first and for sure will be the last buy. I purchased DLS P44 4 Channel amplifier in May this year as a gift for my brother. It seemed to be in perfect condition when it got delivered. He took it to his home country and then the nightmare started. He being a music lover with prior experience got a gut feeling that there is some issue as it was getting too hot. But he didnt share much as it was a gift. The issue was getting worse and he finally got it checked with an expert and here were the shocking details shared about the so called brand new piece :-1. The amplifier was used as the paint had peeled off from the 4 screw slots (not noticeable unless they were unscrewed)2. The gain settings and crossover setting were not factory settings and had been tweaked3. The amplifier is getting really hot and it is only a matter of time when it will conkoff.Clearly we were given an amp that had issues. It was then Mr Tashman requested that I pay him through an online Link emailed to me AND that I go to his personal residence. After refusing as I had not seen any review claiming he worked from HIS home, Mr Tashman then paid for and posted a background report along with my personal phone number and home address online! What kind of business does that?!Mr. Tashman claims I tried manipulating him as well as sending him emotional emails of my situation when in fact I stated that I had trusted him as a single mother with my home address!!!!!!! There was no manipulation nor was I looking for a handout. It was so refreshing to meet someone who is a true professional... David came out to troubleshoot a backup camera and light on my 30 Travel Trailer. He stuck it out for 2 super long days and came back a few days later to button things up. Hes super meticulous and a perfectionist...
