After waiting decades to make the trek to Utah to see all the national parks, I couldn’t be happier to have chosen Southwest Adventure Tours to organize the trip. No worries about where to stay or what to see or how to get there. Having a small group of fellow adventurers kept it friendly and flexible. Captain Adam made it relaxed and fun, with the safety of a knowledgeable (and younger) guide. He had a great playlist that kept us rocking on the drive and knew “secret” restaurants and homemade pie stops. He chose some hikes to suit the capabilities of our group and encouraged us to challenge ourselves on others. I highly recommend SAT and Captain Adam to explore Utah’s Mighty Five!!

We did a 7 day self drive Yellowstone/Grand Teton tour with our 8 and 11 year old granddaughters. Jason and Southwest Adventure Tours planned a fantastic trip for us. This is the second time we have used this organization, and I honestly think we save money by paying them to plan our trip! We love the self-drive option. It includes rental car, hotel reservations, and an app that plans out each day with an array of suggested sites to see, trails to hike, restaurant options, maps, etc. When we tried to plan our trips ourselves, we found it difficult to book rooms, cars, etc. in the national park areas. We think the travel agencies have better connections, and it makes trip planning easy! Southwest Adventure Tours is so accommodating to your personal needs. Jason knew we had our 2 granddaughters with us and highly recommended we add on the Bar T 5 Covered Wagon trail ride and cookout (with family friendly entertainment). So glad we did! We highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours!

If you enjoy traveling in an uncomfortable, over crowded bus with suitcases stored at the exit door, which would have prevented exiting the bus in case of an emergency, because the bus only had storage space for 8 suitcases even though there were 15 passengers; lunches provided by Southwest Adventure Tours which consisted mostly of sandwiches from 7-11 type businesses eaten in the elements; and staying in hotels which make Motel 6 look like a luxury brand, then youll enjoy traveling with Southwest Adventure Tours. If you do travel with them, I suggest you print out the itinerary/brochure when you first book your trip, otherwise the itinerary may change so that some of the things you were promised may be removed later. For example, we were promised transportation from the airport to the hotel; however, that promise disappeared in a subsequent revised brochure. Luckily I retained a copy of the original brochure. Oh, and if youre booking a tour for the photo opportunities they push in their brochure, the driver will always have an excuse why they cant stop at those photo ops.

I went on the Mighty 5 tour 9/19/21-9/26/21 with tour guides Adam and Ja. They were excellent guides and worked hard throughout the trip. The hotels and restaurants were top notch. I recommend this trip if you want to see a lot of parks in a short time.

We toured with Mike Knarzer on the Mighty Five Las Vegas to Moab. It was the most amazing tour. He is an outstanding tour guide. We loved how he took our needs and abilities into consideration. Mike was able to adjust our planned tour so that even limited walking ability had a trail they could manage. I will highly recommend this tour to all.

Just returned from a trip that started in Salt Lake City and then Arches Natl Park and surrounding areas. Captain Adam was an excellent guide. Very friendly and accommodating for our group. Also very knowledgeable about the area, the history, and the geological features of the region. I highly recommend this tour and this particular guide!

We just did the 5 day trip of National parks, Hans Kohte was our tour guide in the whole trip, it was an amazing experience. He made the trip very interesting with his knowledge and good sense of humor. His professionalism was icing on the cake . We are very happy with the whole experience.

We took the mighty 5 from Las Vegas (Apr 5 to Apr 9, 2021). It was just fantastic, and way better than expected. Our tour director - Ean Dunder - was not only knowledgeable but also a lot of fun. He took is to places we would have never imagined if we had done this on our own. He also is a great judge of ability - so in our group many a time he split us up and let us go for hikes while others were taken to other spots for sightseeing. The hotels were nice and clean - the restaurant recommendations were on the spot - Each day topped the next. We couldnt have asked for more - but we did get more - On this trip Ean was accompanied by a future guide, a gentleman by the name of Dan Barton, who was also from the area and also very knowledgeable. We had some great hikes and conversations together. I would definitely tour with this company and these gentlemen again. Very highly recommended. Thank you guys.

Booking this trip was the BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! LOL seriously though. Ive been super stressed lately especially because of covid, working from home 24x7 - you guys know the deal. Its been a rough 2020. But yeah I ended up googling different group tours for Utah (been waiting to go here for ages) and ended up finding South West Adventure Tours. From the start, they were super helpful - I annoyed them calling multiple times beforehand about coordinating the flight times, will they still have the tour if only I show up etc (because of covid). They were super helpful and attentive. But yeah let me get to the best part - I booked it 2 weeks before the trip started. I left Nov 9th - 15th on the mighty 5 tour leaving from Salt Lake City. My guide was Chris Vander Wilt - LITERALLY THE MAN! The whole vibe of the trip was awesome - felt like I was traveling with family (I forgot to mention - I went alone). I had a blast - Chris was super knowledgable about every section of Utah we visited + he is so energetic and fun. I never felt alone or left out - everyone was super just down to earth and down to do anything. We came in as strangers and left as the Utah Fam aka The Hoodoos Squad lol. I am definitely trying another tour with Southwest Adventure Tours. I felt like the quality of the tour exceeded my expectations. Ive been in another group tour and it felt rushed and this one was not like that at all. I honestly cant recommend them enough. I hired SAT for my trip to Zion and Bryce Canyons. We had a great tour. The driver picked us up on time at 7am and dropped us off at 7pm. The tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. We went places we may not have gone to without the guide so I felt like we got our money worth! IT also included a nice lunch a a decent restaurant! The vehicle we traveled in was roomy and very comfortable. We were able to charge cell phones in the van with many plugs. This was important bc we were in the vehicle for a few hours. Thanks for accommodating us ! I would use again!

I did the Mighty 5 tour out of SLC the week of June 14th. It was the first tour Ive done (other than day tours), and I was quite apprehensive about it. I had a GREAT time. The small group (10) was an awesome group. The guide, Jeff, was wonderful. I am now looking at signing up for another tour through SW Adventures!

I did the Mighty Five from Las Vegas. The trip was exceptional. Our guide Chris was knowledgeable, helpful and well organized. I had been to a few of the parks before but i learned and experienced new adventures. I was a solo traveler and felt comfortable with the other hikers. Will do more trips with Southwest Adventure.

We rented boots and walking sticks for only $25. We were blown away by the quality of the products that they offered. The water boots and walking sticks were high quality and worth every penny. We highly recommend them.

Southwest adventure tours with geologist and tour guide, Simone, are the greatest. I had a fantastic trip visiting 5 Utah national parks. We averaged about three 45-minute hikes each day. The scenery was magnificent. Simones geological knowledge made the trip a true educational experience.

Southwest Adventure Tours provided my wife and me and tremendous vacation experience. My wife and I had always wanted to take a tour of the National Parks located in the Southwest. The year of Covid-19 seemed like a good opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. Our local travel agent wasn’t very familiar with the Southwest region. I googled tours of the southwest and found Southwest Adventure Tours (SAT) and started corresponding with them. I gave them some basic information of what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and how many days we wanted to spend on the road (in our case 12 days). SAT developed a tour of the southwest that was customized for us. They were friendly, informative, and very responsive to our questions. Because SAT is familiar with the region, they not only provided us with an itinerary for the national parks but made additional helpful suggestions for additional places to go and see; national monuments, state parks, museums, scenic drives, etc. They provided a detailed itinerary which included our airline flights, a rental car, hotels, driving directions, park information, etc. All this information was contained on an App that we could download to our phones. Therefore, we always had all the information with us in a convenient place and format. We spent twelve days exploring the beautiful southwest doing it “our” way. Many thanks to the Southwest Adventure Tours team for a truly “once in a lifetime” experience.

I did the Grand Circle Experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though I am not AT ALL a serious hiker, the hikes were well worth the amazing scenery. Our guide seemed to know every mile of road like the back of his hand, and he went out of his way to find better alternatives when some of our destinations were closed due to COVID.If you are planning to visit the national parks of the southwest, I highly recommend this tour.

I was so glad to hear about this service. The shuttle through recreation.gov was sold out so we thought wed have to walk. I loved that it was a smaller shuttle with AC, as it was a little warm when we went. The drivers were all nice and very informative.

This was by far the best planned trip to really explore and enjoy Utah! We did the Mighty 5 and I had a blast each and every day and got my hiking “fix” in for sure, not only was Shybree (our tour guide) very knowledgeable and fun in her presentation and introduction to Utah to our group as new visitors to Utah, but really got to know her group and offered additional points of interest during our stay. Taking a solo trip this time around, I can honestly say that I felt 100% safe and well-taken care of during the entire trip! I can’t say enough about the attention to careful planning that was done to make sure that our trip was phenomenal! Thank you for a lifetime of memories! Loved everything about the trip!

The lady at the zion shuttle told us it was 3 dollars per person to take the shuttle up to the point we wanted. The emerald pools. Now 3 dollars sounds fair they go up every half hour with large groups of people and bring them back down when they are done. Fair price for a basic service right? No they lie to you and tell you 3 dollars then charge you 30 dollars per person instead. 30 dollars to take you in a shuttle that you have to take because if the free zion shuttle is sold out you cant go. This is a rip off and a half. Deceptive people at the ticket booth and they dont offer a receipt ( to save paper) but dont email you your receipt either. Hmmm sounds like trickery is afoot here. Dont use this company as they are just ripping you off. Sign up to get on the zion approved shuttle and dont trust a third party.

After taking the Mighty 5 tour in 2019, with Ann as our guide, 6 of us arranged a private tour of Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons, again with Ann. Despite pandemic conditions, she went above and beyond to make sure we had an outstanding experience. I would recommend this company, and especially this guide, to every one. Spectacular, informative, and lots of fun.

These guys helped us book a shuttle at Zion National Park. They are reliable and have great drivers/guides.

We just finished an amazing tour of Mighty 5 From Salt Lake City through Southwest Adventure Tours. Ann Evans was our guide through the week and did an outstanding job. We had a perfect size group of 9, plus Ann. The group was very diverse in age and hiking abilities. Ann provided many options, allowing each of our group to have a wonderful time. The only issue we had was the heat. I would never pick August as a time to do this tour, but that was our fault. August is just hot! Ann was beyond careful that no one became dehydrated or had physical issues from the heat, or anything else for that matter.The tour was exactly as stated, we received an overview of the 5 main parks (never ending incredible scenery), plus Ann elected to show us a few extras, which was GREAT. The accommodations and food provided were all very good. Ann is very knowledgeable of the area, with lots of extra stories to throw in. Her flexibility, patience, easy-going fun nature never ended.

Great Adventure - Zion The Narrows. Guided tour was the best way to take in all the glory. Also, made it easy to navigate the ins/outs of ZION during COVID.

Incredible Mighty Five Tour. Robin was an excellent tour guide who was so knowledgeable and considerate. He made sure we saw all the beautiful sights and guided us on many adventurous hikes. Our transportation, places to stay, and places we ate were all wonderful. We could not have had a better tour.

We also appreciated the opportunity to adopt needy beavers. Pretty much our entire group was sympathetic towards helping these beautiful animals.

I did the Mighty 5 in Utah, I couldnt fault the tour at all, great guide, great transport and great food. We had snow and shut roads, but our guide worked overnight to ensure we still had a great experience and saw everything possible. I highly recommend this company.

I have never found a company that works harder to make sure everything is done right. When the room I was trying to book was no longer available they went out of their way to help me out. The owner himself made the call. I will and do recommend them to everyone looking for a good company to work with. I cannot share adequately the incredible customer service they showed me.

We just concluded a six-day tour to Utah’s National Parks: “The Mighty Five”. It was a well organized tour with a flexible itinerary, which offered us a rich variety of fantastic landscapes, flora and fauna. We are greatly appreciative of our guide Phil who made this trip unique and unforgettable for us. Thanks to Phil’s vast experience and knowledge about wildlife and great passion for nature we gained so many insights and even greater respect for what are considered the geological wonders of Utah. The pace of travel was optimal and we were always flexible, which made it very enjoyable and informative. We learned a lot and greatly appreciate this experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!

Southwest Adventure Tours is the best way to see Arizona and the Great Southwest! Ive been on two trips with them! My 1st one was to see the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah and my most recent one was a custom tour around Arizona to see Petrified Forrest, Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon. The custom tour I went on was a trip of a lifetime and Dennis is the best tour operator that I have ever had & worked with!

Spectacular countryside. Terrible service.Our guide was little more than a semi-informed bus driver. For example, when we were going on our horseback ride at Bryce National Park, we asked her what we could take with us. She told us to bring water, which makes sense as we were essentially in the desert. When we went to get on the horses, however, we were told we could not take anything, including water bottles as there was no place to put them on the saddles.One of our group had signed up as a single, and was quite willing to pay the supplemental fee. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel in Bryce, the Southwest Adventure Tour Company had not reserved a room for her. Our guide did nothing to help straighten out this error. Plus, the owner/manager of the tour company did nothing to help. That night, that guest had to bunk in with other travelers.I booked, through Southwest Adventure Tours, a rafting trip. The others in the group also booked the rafting trip. Unfortunately for me, however, Southwest Adventure Tour Company booked me for an all day trip. The others were all booked for a half day trip. Had I gone on the all day trip, I would not have seen The Arches National Park, which was scheduled for that afternoon. Therefore, I passed on the all day rafting trip so I could see The Arches, which, incidentally, should not be missed -- it is magnificent. Our tour guide was of no help to me. I spoke with the owner/manager. He would not refund the $189, or any fraction thereof, I paid him for the rafting trip. He said I had to bear the financial loss.As you might imagine, I would not recommend Southwest Adventures Tours to anyone.

I just got done doing the 5 day Grand Teton /Yellowstone Explorer with Simone and all I can say is WOW. Simone just stepped up to the plate to be one of the best tour guide you have. We saw a lot of Yellowstone and Grand Teton in just short amount of time. This is my 2 nd time with Southwest and i cant wait to book another one in the future.

October 5, 2021. My sister and I had a wonderful experience in Moab, thanks to our guide, Joe. He went above and beyond to create a memorable day for us. Since he grew up in the area, he had lots of anecdotes to share and his love of Moab is apparent. Our tour included Arches (where we saw the sunrise), Dead Horse and the night cruise on the Colorado River with light and sound which, even in the rain, was amazing. He also drove us along the Colorado River (Hwy 128) to the Red Cliffs Lodge where a little gem called the Moab Museum of Film and Western Heritage is located. We also saw petroglyphs and rocks where Joe and his friends climbed as boys. Thanks to Joe for an exceptional day.
