Thanks to the lady at the phone service for the tip. The gym is nice made with good decorations but their weight machines and free weights areas are not the best.

Joined today! Love the layout and infrared light therapy treatment.Tori is a treasure and yall need to do everything to keep her! She really helped me. This was my first time in a gym in over 3 years. There were no hard sales, no loud dudes, nothing that was concerning that I loath in most gyms. It is basic and well maintained.

Ive found members and staff to be respectful. Equipment appears new. The facility is extraordinarily CLEAN! Members appear diligent in cleaning equipment after using it.Without exception, members and staff wore masks properly. It felt safe to be there while still in the Orange.As a new member of this facility I would have liked to have had a bit of instruction on how to adjust some of the equipment.

Signed up today. Cleanest and least expensive gym in town. Ask me again in a year and Ill tell you whats wrong. Looks great so far.

The manager Adrian at Cathedral City is trying to scam people out of membership fees. They will not tell you that theyre location requires a certified cancellation letter from the post office. Apparently thats the only way they recieve mail, so they get away with saying that you didnt send it in right. I even called multiple times a months in advance and they specifically left that detail out when I asked exact instructions. They never once mentioned it on purpose. If you look at any reviews anywhere for the place, Yelp, Google, Facebook..they all say the same thing. This place is a scam, besides it never being clean.

On Sunday 08/22/21 Just arrived at the gym and noticed a man in locker room clipping his toe nails and letting the clipping just fall onto the floor. I reported it but all I got was nothing practically. She said she would tell the guy worker later on in the day once he started his shift. When I went back into the locker open after my workout I noticed the clippings were still on the floor. The male worker is behind the check in now but he was on the phone so I just left the gym. My point in all of this is that these types of things should be taken seriously.

I’ve been going to PF for a about 5 years and I originally signed up at the San Bernardino location but I come here more. it’s been a pretty good experience it’s best to come early morning or late at night because it’s not busy. For some reason it was really hot today and I even came late in the night. I love the hydro massage beds and the Beaty angel? Or whatever the machine is with the red light because it’s amazing for acne

They seem to let everyone take advantage of Black Card Membership (Cathedral City, CA) regardless if they have one or not. I have noticed on several occasions individuals requesting and using the massage beds and chairs without anyone checking their membership. Of course, when I made a request a week ago, I was asked to show my membership. There needs to be consistency. Either you do or you don’t!

I appreciate the quick turn around time from management to take care of my concerns about availability of paper towels in dispensing machines for wipe downs!

My go to gym. Super clean, super friendly staff. The lay out is on point. Hydro lounge or beds must try, extremely stimulating.

Very clean and great staff. This gym is not for me. Im a hardcore muscle head that trains in Venice Beach Golds in California. But for the a normal fitness person I things its a great place.

Sadly everyone working here between 4:00 - 6:00 pm has very POOR customer service. Ask someone for anything at the front desk & your bothering them! It has to be poor management/training because this place was not so bad.

I went to tour the gym today to possibly join. Just to see the gym I was asked to sign in as a guest (apparently they are understaffed). I was not willing to give them my personal information (as I dont want them bombarding me with advertising) so I could not tour the gym. Very disappointed.

Gym is clean and comfortable. Equipment is all new and very well taken care. I love the Black Spa upgrade for use of hydro-jet beds and chairs, and massage chairs. They also have red light therapy and tanning.

Clean place not packed. Only thing is limited free weights. Sometimes theres groups that grab alot of dumbbells and 3 benchs

Love this gym, only complaint I have is the some clients take up the equipment because the need to text. Why go to the gym if you are glued to your cell? Then the dudes that are talking to their friends sitting on the equipment. Dang if you must talk, get off the equipment for those who want to use it.

I like to do my cardio and weights-some machines, more free weights, cables etc. Im older so not the most muscular. Dont feel appraised or intimidated here.

Its cool but I was told to wear my mask all the way up which I get but I was on the stair master and its definitely hard to breath. Only my nose was not covered but they said that they had complaints about it hmm fishy cause I was the only one there well kinda there was like 4 to 5 ppl in there but whatever its the nearest one by me so cant complain too much.

Love the atmosphere! Very very welcoming which is great for a beginner like me! Each machine has a picture of how to use it and what muscles it targets. Super helpful! And if you do have any questions, you can ask a worker. Adequate space to do all workouts and stretches. Very clean facility with any and all amenities you’d need. The hydro massage is my favorite! Definitely recommended!

Biggest Planet Fitness in the valley! Excellent equipment selection, never packed, and CLEAN! Staff is friendly.and helpful, with 1 or 2 people focused on cleaning equipment all shift long. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Excellent job preparing for the virus!

Its great for what you pay, absolutely. I kinda wish they made people reserve time slots to workout since pandemic and all but it rarely gets packs anyways so its no biggie.

So, Im a snowbird who was in Cathedral city for 3 weeks while chasing nice weather. I spoke to World Gym and was told $99 for a month membership. I stopped at Planet Fitness, which was running a special of $0.20 sign up fee and $9.99 a month, so I jumped in. Im not into aerobic exercise but they have a ton of machines that fit everyones goals. They have resistance machines and free weights too. I never had to wait for a machine/weighs. The clientele ranged from body builders to baby boomers. There was always someone to help, answer questions. I actually have considered checking into a franchise because it was such a great experience.

I definitely enjoy coming to this gym. The staff always greet me with a friendly smile, and say goodbye on the way out. The staff here keeps the machines clean all the time.

Disappointing. Came in for a quick shower while on the road and 3 of 4 showers in the women’s lockers were broken (missing handles, broken handles and no water coming out). The only one that worked didn’t have hot water. So I took a quick cold shower just to get clean. Ugh! Not what I was hoping for after a long day of travel.Gym was typical, but didn’t have time to workout. Parking was nice and well lit. Plentiful too.

At Planet Fitness in Cathedral City my car was stolen on Friday afternoon (02/7/20). Someone stole my keys from the female locker room and then stole my car. Police was called and a report was filed. I am very frustrated because staff is incompetent on how to operate the camera system. They have not identified the person(s) yet or recovered my car. My identity has been stolen alone with credit cards. It is unacceptable that management has not taken further actions to resolve this situation. I will be taking legal action on this matter.

Nice to see so many positive reviews. I never started. Walking through the door was fine. A young lady chewing on gum, hair going every which way, waited on me. While talking with me she was in a discussion with another person too. I had called before to ask if they took Silver Sneakers. Was told yes. As we began the tour she prompts that the rules have changed, and she was unsure if they took that plan now. I said why take the tour. I suggested she find out the answer and email me. I am still waiting for her response. Actually I did contact my Insurance Carrier, and yes some plans changed. Their didnt. As well, Planet Fitness still takes the plan. But the vibe started wrong. I may go back after reading so many positive reviews. But right now I am not so enthusiastic. Seriously, I got the impression she just didnt care.In the end I found 1440 which has just become FitFix on Roman. Great gym, very nice people run/own it. And the clientele is nice. If you have a question, it is quickly answered. I am very please to have found my go to place.

Just moved here from Colorado have been a member of several gyms.. Love this gym very clean and staff are quite helpful .. it is a nice size with quite a few workout options.. if you are looking for a good economical clean place to join than this would be a very viable option for anyone:)

Friendly and polite front staff however they only employ one individual for cleaning the locker rooms. This is a problem since they currently have a male to clean the female locker room during the day. This is not fair to him or the female patrons. How can he be expected to do his job if he has to leave when females are in changing? I dont understand why this is allowed - he is always in there whether or not there are females using the washroom or are at their lockers!! Ridiculous!! You have to tell him that you want to change and/or shower and only then does he leave. Spoke to the manager about it and she doesnt seem to think it is wrong or concerning for patrons! Will not be going back!! 2 STARSFollow up - I want to thank whoever made he decision to employ a woman to clean the ladies locker room!! Someone was listening and am very happy with their decision!! Front desk staff are ALWAYS very friendly and welcoming! I just moved to the desert and travel for work so I needed something and a place that I could go to anywhere in California. Haven’t gone any where else just yet but Cathedral works for me. And there truly are no critics!

The staff is always friendly and the facilities are kept very clean probably 99% of the time.The machines are well maintained and hardly ever is a machine not in working order.

Im not sure what to expect for $10 a month plus an Initiation fee. If youre looking to do cardio they have quite a few treadmills and elliptical machines. They also have a area for a quick 30 minute workout with basic workout machines. Im not overly impressed with there elliptical machines or their workout equipment. They do have an area for stretching which is helpful. You can get an enhanced membership for around $21 a month that allows you to use theyre suntanning machines, massage chairs and to bring a guest anytime you go. The upgrade also allows you to use other Planet Fitness Gyms that are not your home gym.

Clean with plenty of sanitizer. But some people without masks or without social distancing. I feel its the responsibility of the crew to see if all members are abiding to all rules especially during this epidemic.

I was recently in town on a short trip and was assisted by the Manager Luis. Can I just say that I have never met such an enthusiastic person! I cannot get over that smile! He provided me with the perfect information and went above and beyond to make sure that I felt at home.Unfortunately I didn’t sign up because I leave town tomorrow, but when I return for the summer I will definitely be getting that black card and taking much advantage of the spa!The staff is phenomenal!

The cleanest gym I’ve ever visited - the bathrooms and locker rooms are always clean. People actually wipe down the machines after they use them - Yay!! The staff is super friendly and I really enjoy the Black Card Spa amenities.

Always clean, locker room clean! Equipment is easy to use. Music that is playing is good so I don’t use headphones often. Not too crowded, so there are always stations to use!

Well managed gym with friendly staff. I only wish the floor plan allowed for treadmills to be closer to the TVs since I am dependent on reading closed caption. Having one side of the floor reversed would give the (majority of) cardio exercisers using treadmills a better position for viewing. Oh and can you put a TV on the Food Network.

I work out here almost every day. The cleanest, most organized, best equipment eff by and staff in the Pslm Spribgs area. No judgements. No hassles. Just great work out environments!

Bad experience!I went to check out the gym and try it out for the 1st time but when I asked if they had a Free pass or one day pass, they said they didnt have anything like that. They had a 24hr pass which cost $10 so in that case might as well do the monthly cost right? Wrong! Because you have to sign up for a one year contract. I dont know how this gym is suppose to do business when you cannot get a one day pass or a good deal without having to sign a contract.

I signed up and then canceled my membership the same day. Needed an extra gym membership because my current one wasnt avail in other cities that I frequent. The gym was nice and clean a d staff were cool. It I wasnt aware of the no grunting policy. I tend to lift heavybso naturally I grunt which is usually fine at any other gym. I was told about the policy but found it a little ridiculous and also it was never mentioned when I signed up. I left earlier the i wanted, didnt finish my work out and pretty much wasted my money.

Nothing beats a new gym smell! Great and tidy location. A bit larger than Coachella location but a great vibe here too. Looking forward to see if staff maintain cleanliness and friendliness.

I really like this gym. Its relatively new in a space formerly occupied by 24H Fitness. Its very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. They even maintain the machines very efficiently.

Do not sign up at this gym. They will charge you even if your card expires. It is not month to the month. This is a myth. They should be sued for false advertisement. They act like they own you once u join. 90 percent of the people that join are in no better shape after a year.They use terms like Lunk to describe men that are fit, which is sexist. Their employees are greatly underpaid and have no gym certifications.If you have any issues they just fall back on that their a franchise. They set up gyms in mostly minority neighbourhoods and take advantage of the population.They could care less about their members and are just another gym that is trying to make a quick buck and will be out of business in less than ten years.Avoid this place. They are unethical.

I always enjoy planet fitness plenty of machines. They keep it very clean always see somebody mopping or sweeping and wiping down equipment.

Very clean place not really busy you dont have to wait for a machine to be able to work out its very nice calm environment and the people that work there are very helpful

So far all the staff is very pleasant and attentive. Place is clean, i only wish they have spinning bikes, other than that they have a lot of equipment so no matter at what time you go there is a machine available.

The bathroom was cleaner than the typical nasty it had bn. I hope it stays that way. Also they dont refresh the paper towels whn they run out of the dispensers enough.
