I opened the door to Chucks Automotive, I was surprised to see that the man behind the counter was the only person in the room NOT wearing a mask.We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and a large proportion of the population in the Cathedral City area are in high-risk groups.Being willing to risk your own life is one thing, but blithely risking the lives of your customers is completely unacceptable, and incidentally also in violation of mask requirements at the state, county and city levels.

Gave me an estimate around 110. I just needed to replace some studs. They took an hour 10 min and charged me for 2 hours and I ended up playing 290. For 10 -20 extra minutes? Dude in front was cool tho.

I took my car to get a airflow outlet tube it was a hole on it from rubbing the radiator Fan They put the new one in one day later the brand new piece had the same exact holes in it from last night they didn’t tighten the fan to prevent the same problem from happening I came back the next day he charge me all over again $700 to replace a 65 dollar piece That only takes less than 20 minutes to install I lost a lot of money. I don’t have thanks to Chuck’s this fraud business

Chuck, the owner, is so very kind and informative. I had purchased an old Ford last year & the car needed major brake parts & replacement. It cost over $600 but he informed me that i could bring the car back to the dealership for my money back and to look for a newer vehicle, one that I liked better.Without his advice I would not have ever known this. I did get refunded the $$ and dumped that car back onto the dealer.Now i have a 2014 Mazda 2 Sport that Im totally in love with. I only go to Chucks as he is my mechanic & lovely friend.Thanks much, Chuck!

Chuck is my guy! How many times have you heard an original estimate of twice what you end up paying. After agreeing to a price the guys at Chucks later informed me that the price would be significantly lower upon further observation.Think about that! Most mechanics would stick it to you good! Every time Ive gone there my car is repaired perfectly and in a timely manner. Ive recommended them over and over.

Brought it in for the ignition, came back to a car already running on empty. Turned the car off and go to turn the car back on and the battery is dead. They jump start my car and now the check engine light is on. Told me its probably the transmission and alternator. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR BATTERY/ALTERNATOR PROBLEMS WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS FINE WITH IT. I think the guy screwed something up and didnt want to owe up to it. AVOID!!

Jeeps clutch went out at 11:45 am Chuck drove to where we were and brought a mechanic who managed to get it going. Chuck drove us back to his shop. Fortunately he had an open bay and started the clutch repair. Received a call at 5:15pm, job done at price quoted. Hard to find service like this where you deal with the owner not a service rep. Chuck gave us his cell number if we have any problems. Young mechanic was excellent. Chuck is now our go to guy and we have no worrys in recommending him to friends. Thanks Chuck.

Took my 1998 Ford F150 to Chucks Automotive so he can change my fuel filler neck and hoses for me. He told me he would charge me for one hour of labor which was $102.00. I told chuck I bought extra long hoses to make sure that the fuel filler neck will fit flush to the body. After about thirty minutes of working on the car he came back and told me that the hose I provided wasnt any longer than the old (standard) hose so the fuel filler neck still wont fit flush to the body. I said I know I bought a longer hose but if thats the case then so be it. He also asked me if I want to keep the old parts. I told him that I trusted him and theres no need for it. Big mistake!The next day I noticed the parts box on the floor by the passenger side, so I picked it up to get rid of it. To my surprise, both of the brand new hoses were still there. They didnt change the old hoses at all. I called them this morning and confronted them and quickly they told me that I never told them about changing the hoses. Big lie, because as I said he even came back and told me that the new hose is not longer than the old hose. That statement alone is a big lie because I looked at the specifications and it shows that the standard original hose is 13 long and the one I gave them is 24 inches.Anyway, chuck became defensive, called me a liar and never go back to his shop again. I hate to give negative reviews but shops like this need to know that consumers are not all ignorant so they should stay honest or get busted.LESSON LEARNED: Always Ask To see The Old Parts

Went in for oil change and couldnt leave because our suv wouldnt start . was told it needs a throttle position sensor . i have owned this vehicle for over 5 years and have never once had any issues with it . they wanted to order the part at my expense and have me pay to install it too . how the hell do you go to get an oil change and then have to get your vehicle towed to your house only to have to do work to it when it was never broken In the first place? Nightmare !!!!!! Worst customer service ever !!!!! Please beware

This place was HORRIBLE!!!My mom took her car to get a water pump replaced...he charged her 800.00 dollars...A water pump cost 175.00 for a 1992 car.Then proceeded to tell her she needed another repair that would’ve costed her 1400.00 dollars...and the car DIDNT need the repair come to find out...This place should be closed down for fraud, and ripping people off!Karma always come around!!!!

I bought a car from this place that had FRAUD written all over it. It had a piece of tape over the ABS lite and was not smoged and could not be smoged as long as the ABS lite was on. Ive been trying to get my money back, to NO avail, so it looks like I have to go to Small Claims Court.
