We sent our boys here last year as a remote learning center when school was virtual. Vince and Janet care so much about them, communicate well, and gave them all the extras we couldn’t throughout the day, like teaching organization skills, tutoring (both are former WCPSS teachers), and taking them to local parks for fresh air. We highly recommend their track out camps and after school programs as we wouldn’t have gotten through the pandemic school year without them!!

This place is amazing! After a year of remote learning our daughter attended TOM for the summer and absolutely loved it. The educators at this camp are knowledgeable and well equipped with the necessary tools that helped our child transition smoothly back into in person learning. It’s rare to find a camp that meets both social and academic needs. TOM excels at both. We highly recommend this camp.

My son calls The Organized Mind his “tutoring camp” and that is the perfect way to describe The Organized Mind. Fun like a camp, with the benefits of one on one after school tutoring. I was anxious about all of the extra work that would come with my son starting middle school….he’s not organized and if I’m being honest…neither am I. Middle school math, I’m no help there either. The Organized Mind fills in the gaps. Vince provides transportation from school to The Organized Mind where they help him organize his materials from the day and tutor through homework….and they’re professionals so somehow homework becomes a chill thing to do! When we get home in the evening, we have family time not struggle time. My son feels more confident and so do I! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Vincent provided personal feedback after every day my son was at camp, this made is so much better than a typical camp where its a large group and you pick up your child and go. It was a small group of campers, they did a huge variety of field trips and learning experiences and Vincent and his wife had such valuable tools to help the kids collaberate with each other and be confident. Really appreciate learning of this camp!

My child attended summer camp and enjoyed the field trips and activities. The small group setting and masking while indoors helped us feel comfortable attending an in person camp. Staff was very encouraging and supportive.

My son absolutely loved this camp! He attended nearly every week over the summer between 6th and 7th grades. After doing an entire year of virtual schooling, I was worried about his complete lack of social skills and confidence. I actually tried to enroll him in a camp that is specifically for social skills, but there wasnt enough space. Im so glad a friend of mine recommended TOM! The change I have seen in his ability to interact with other kids is incredible. Also, he was signed up for one week of coding camp for the last week of summer break, but he absolutely begged us to let him go back to TOM instead. We will definitely be back next summer!

My daughter is hard to please and she rarely wants to do the same camp twice. Not with TOM! She begged to go back for another week of camp. As a parent, I love how they incorporate soft/executive skills into a fun filled day. Highly recommend.

Our rising 7th grader had a great experience at TOMs summer camp. The administrators strive to identify field trips and activities that are especially appealing to middle schoolers. Our son liked that all the kids at the camp were his age - no little kids like at most other track out/summer camps - so they all got along well, had things in common to talk and joke about. When the school year gets going a bit more, we expect to sign our son up for after school support a couple of times a week -- V and J are great at working with kids to get their agendas and assignments organized, and to make study plans for upcoming assessments/projects.

After trying all of the camps in Apex for my 12 year old I finally found the right one! Other camps have a ton of littles running around and not many kids his age. Hes always felt like a babysitter and embarrassed at all the singing and kiddie games. This camp is specially for the middle school kids like him. Hes typically so shy and reserved but hes blossomed and made so many friends there. And the lessons they do on organization have already made a difference! If youre thinking about trying it you need to do it!

A life saver during the pandemic! Its ridiculously difficult to find fun, educational safe care for a middle school aged child, but even more difficult during a pandemic. TOM wabu everything we needbu and my teen loves it. Id recommend it to anyone!
