This place is very pleasant. The staff members are very nice. Jessica Mohr is my nurse Practitioner & she is the best. She has helped me in so many ways. She is friendly, kind, listen very well. She is always there for me when I need her. May God bless her. If it wasnt for her. I dont think I would be alive today. π
I was told to use this practice for a relative who was being treated for bipolar disorder, delusions, etc. I made first contact around July 22. The patient was supposed to see Dr Bajwa. The doctor was supposed to call for more info about the patient. That never happened. I called several times and was eventually turfed to a different doctor. That doctor never spoke with me and 20 minutes after his appointment was supposed to start the doctor informed the receptionist she would not see the patient and turfed him to outside organizations. I would say this is not very good mental healthcare.
I was asked and encouraged to write a good review of this business by their office manager, who has long ago left. I tried to remove my previous review but couldnβt so hereβs my amended one. Ever since the office manager left they have gone downhill. I used to have a lot of respect for Dr Bajwa, but I feel that his attention is stretched way too thin. Between his psychiatry practice, his public speaking and his new facility called Greenbrook itβs just too much. Also the office staff changes all the time. There is no stability in the practice at all. Lastly, when I really needed guidance recently about a very serious, stressful situation he wasnβt there for me. I called on a Friday and asked for a medicine change and never even got a call back. Also during our session when I informed him of that situation via telehealth the call dropped and he didnβt even both to call me back. Iβm very disillusioned and donβt think Iβll ever go there again and while it was hard to leave after 13 years I think Iβve found a program more suited to my needs where I donβt feel like just a number or dollar sign.
Iβve seen doctor bawja on 3 different occasions. The last two occasions I spoke with him i asked him to send my medicine sooner rather than later because iβm only 15 minutes from the pharmacy i specified. Both times the medicine didnt show up for hours. On this third occasion the medicine wasnβt sent at all and itβs friday so i canβt even call to have a my medicine sent till monday. He comes off as not believing in you and attempts to disguise it as sumthing else. Iβm more than frustrated with his quality of professionalism and understanding. I would not recommend unless u have a two or 1 days supply beforehand
I have been going to this practice for years and I canβt tell you how happy I am to have such a caring and patient doctor as Dr. Bajwa. I have a lot of side effects to meds and no matter what, he always tries to help find the next thing to try to get me the care that I need. He is truly a compassionate doctor and his staff is always helpful. I recommend this practice and you wonβt be disappointed. Thank you CBH!!
I went here at 13 after getting out of an abusive household and I really wish I didnt because they did not help with the trauma AT ALL. I recently started seeing a new therapist who said my therapist, Natalie, was teaching me things that havent been medically relevant in decades. Not only that, after seeing my doctor today I was told that Dr. Bajwa prescribed me an antidepressant that isnt supposed to be prescribed to children. My extreme negative reactions to be over prescribed medications left and right at a young age were never taken seriously. My therapist cared more about talking about herself, only handed me boxes of tissues and told me to slap my wrist with a rubber band instead of educating me on real methods of coping with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, etc. Worst place ever and have multiple friends who have had similar experiences. If you want to not be taken seriously, have your money wasted, and your brain screwed with in the most negative ways possible; go here.
Did not use their services but the intake person did not listen to a word I said and only saw me as money not a person needing mental help. He told me my previous diagnosis was incorrect. Not a supportive place which is what you need for the mental health industry. People are just too worried about making money.
Avoid this place! At my 1st appointment, Dr. Bajwa shows up 15 minutes late for a 30 minute meeting. Acts like no big deal. He was reviewing my case. Dr. Bajwa was unprofessional, arrogant, and lacked any compassion for his patient. I cancelled and didnt waste any more time with this quack.
The staff that helps make appointments is rude, unorganized, & impatient. When dealing with psychiatric patients, you would think they would be a little nicer. You donβt know what someoneβs dealing with.
Front desk is amazing and polite. Always assisting and pleasant. Management has transitioned with more policies and protocol that are being implemented. Since COVID, office has streamlined more communication to attend to me medical needs. Dr. BAJWA and is staff is AMAZING!
Overall I liked the practice when I first started going there but since Covid it has become more difficult to reach anyone in the office. I dont feel like I should have to worry whether or not my doctor will receive my messages or not. I have left voicemails and not gotten a response at all, the patient portal is ignored so its not useful to send messages there either. I have more anxiety trying to reach the office then I do on a regular day to day basis.
LOVE this place! Been to many therapists over the years, but Elaine is my favorite! Very caring. In fact, all their staff are very caring, kind people.Dr. Bajwa is effective, capable, and a great listener. Not a practice where you will leave feeling like you were just pushed to take a bunch of pills or youβre paying for people to pretend to care about you.Check them out! Highly recommend.
FRONT DESK IS AWESOME! This afternoon at my appointment, the gal at front desk really took the time to greet me with a big warm welcoming smile, and remembered me personally. Makes such a difference! My last visit she really was so patient and caring/attentive to sorting out an insurance issue I was having. Great customer service. THANK YOU! Stacey
I was looking for a therapist and this practice popped into my search results. I am not a confrontational person usually but after saying my piece I walked out on my appointment at this practice a few (more like 7) years ago. In the end it was for the best because I have a great psychiatrist now but for someone that is depressed and anxious being treated so poorly was difficult. It started in the waiting room, I am morbidly obese, first the front office staff assumed I was there for psych testing for weight loss surgery, I was not. Then even though they must do a bit of business doing psych testing for WLS, they didnt have any chairs that I could sit in. When I went to see the psychiatrist, when I mentioned in passing that a factor in my initial bout of severe depression was purchasing a house that was too far to drive for work he basically told me I should never own a house. I didnt recall asking for real estate advice. He then proceeded to tell me he wouldnt prescribe a med I had been taking for 5+ years, he just never prescribes it. This medicine has helped me for 5yrs, I wish I didnt need to take it but I do and it works. After asking about alternatives and not getting any constructive answers, I decided he wasnt going to help me and felt I didnt need to stick around for the whole fifty minutes. My current psych it is a discussion of what we can try, why it might or might not be for me. I encourage anyone to keep searching if your psych always knows best even when its about buying a house!
Dr. Garvin is very easy to talk to and very professional at the same time. She doesnt use a lot of jargon, she explains things, and shes down-to-earth. Weve only been with her for about 4 appointments, but so far we are happy. The front desk is helpful and friendly. Weve not had any long periods in the waiting room, our appointments have begun within an acceptable time of our arrival.
I saw Dr. Bajwa who I actually really liked. Hes straight to the point and doesnt mess around, which I appreciate. However, the business is incredibly shady. I saw the doctor for anxiety. No history of drug abuse or health issues. Every single time I had a follow up, they made me do a urine sample, just so they can charge me and my insurance more. I would show up 15 minutes early to an appointment, theyd make me wait bare minimum 15 minutes past my appointment time, and then charge me for the entire time. I would spend 5 minutes with the doctor and Id get a bill for a charge for a 30 minute appointment. When I was referred to one of their counselors, I called their billing department to get a quote to find out how much it would cost me. They said there was no way of saying and that I didnt need to worry about it as they charge my insurance directly. I dont care if thats the case -- I still want to know what they are charging, as I have to pay 20% of it as well. When they finally gave me a vague idea after much pushing, it was of course still more when I receive the bill. I dont recommend this place to anyone on a budget. A place that was supposed to help me with my anxiety just made it worse.
I believe Dr. Bajwa is a very caring Doctor. He listens and provides effective advice. He staff has always been polite and efficient. My counselor here has been wonderful! The best place for me. I would not go anywhere else. I highly recommend these people.
For my first visit I met with a woman that let me know from the beginning she was moving to a different clinic and wont be attending me the next time I come in for a visit. I was a little bit worried because I had to speak to another total stranger about my background and why I was there in the first place. I was introduced to JESSICA MOHR. I must say that I did not make a good first impression because I was late. I could have sat there and told her why I was late but that was neither here nor there. Jessica Mohr got straight to it by telling me in a way nice about their being rules of patients being on time. I asked if her point in telling me all of this is to make sure Iβm not late on my next visit and she said yes. I like a straight to the point kind of person. She was the best. She was very thorough in genuinely helping me with my issues. Itβs like she understood without having gone through my life. Iβd recommend her to anyone who visits this office.
Ive been a patient at this practice for more than 3 years now and Ive always felt like they were organized, consistent, and my doctors have all been great.
Absolutely horrible experience. First appointment they switched people last minute, asked for a pee test and sent you into a room to do blood pressure tests without explaining anything. The original appointment was just for therapy and instead it was a series of questions and filling out 200 questions alone in a bubble form. The follow up appointment they cancelled within two hours of the appointment and called twice to tell me after already speaking to the front desk. They couldnt reschedule for a few weeks. Do not waste your money here, they are not professional and lack any soft skills or education.
I go to the new North Raleigh location. Very pleasant surroundings located in the Bent Tree Building off Falls of the Neuse and Strickland Rd on Exposition Place.Treating depression can be tricky. Depending on what medications you are currently taking; what you have taken in the past; interactions; your own hormonal makeup; environmental forces; etc. takes time, trial, focus and a brilliant, patient physician to puzzle out. Dr. Bajwa is that physician and the staff he has at both locations are ready to make you and your life better. I donβt believe I would be alive right now without their help. Mostly, you come away knowing that what you are feeling/going through is probably not your fault. Your bodyβs chemical composition is unique to you and if it is even a little bit off, it can put you on a roller coaster ride to a very dark side. They ask the important questions, and it is up to you to give blatantly honest answers. They help you to be a better, happier and more confident YOU.I highly recommend this practice!
The Dr and staff in Cary have been nothing but kind caring and go above and beyond for their patients The Dr is amazing and very caring!!!!
These providers as a group are great to work with. The office staff is kind and helpful. One thing to note.....they are very particular about payments. I enjoy going to this office.
I have been coming to this office for 10 years. I have always been treated fairly and with respect. They have helped me through some of the toughest times of my life. Dr Bajwa is very thorough and knowledgeable and I respect him and his practice a great deal.
I have been bringing my father here for a few years. I love how the office staff greets him (us) by name. The providers are respectful and compassionate.Anytime I call with a question about Meds or appointments I always get the information I need quickly. Mary Carol is especially awesome.
The front staff is the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever had in any health field. They make you feel comfortable and at ease which was invaluable for me. Dr. Garvin is fantastic and has been a tremendous help for me.
Id echo the sentiment from others about the wait. Overall, I have a great experience here and never wait when seeing Rachel, but when seeing Dr Bajwa, theres a second waiting room (vitals room waiting area) thats not very comfortable. A little acknowledgement when theres a delay would go a long way, as would some upgraded furniture and a fresh coat of paint (lots of marks on the wall, which is a drab yellow).I want to emphasize how great Rachel is. She treats me like another person and not just a patient to rush in and out.
Ive been coming here for a while now, and Ive only found good things. The providers are awesome, the receptionists are really friendly and Cary Behavioral always gets things done in a timely manner. Id definitely recommend them to anyone.
One of the best psychiatrists bar none. Very patient, compassionate incredibly intelligent and extremely caring and kind.Very passionate about his work and his patients.
I really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Bajwa, he is super courteous, nice and to my surprise he is knowledgeable in tech news. I work for a large IT company out of Silicon Valley and you dont see too many doctors (or people) who can have an up to speed conversation on that topic.Unfortunately my insurance provider is no longer accepted here but I did have a positive experience and hope to return at some point. My only gripe about this office is one of the rude receptionists, but the others were very friendly so cant let one bad apple spoil the bunch! Totally recommend Dr Bajwa if youre really looking to resolve some issues.
I have been with Cary Behavioral Health for more than a year, I have seen more improvement here than in the last 20 years. The staff are caring and skilled in their profession. Be well!
Unless you have no other options, I do not recommend this place to anyone. Appointments are always at least an hour late, so just prepare to adjust your day around that, but if you are too late you will be charged for missing the appointment and wasting their time. $100+ is too much to pay for 5 minutes of How are you. Cool. Lets keep everything the same. Unless of course I am paying to sit on the cushy couch in the neverevending limbo-esque waiting room. Go literally anywhere else.
Ive had nothing but a wonderful experience. Im treated with respect and compassion here. My concerns and ideas are heard, my needs are met, and my mental illnesses are completely under control with their help!
The doctor asked me to check boxes on a generic paper and handed me a prescription. Never been so offended in my life. Customer service representatives are rude.
I have felt well cared for at Dr. Bajwas office since the first phone call to make my first appointment. Since then, I feel as though his staff has offered me personalized care and am nothing but satisfied with the services I receive here and the relationship with those treating me.
Dr. Bajwa was rude and dismissive of my previously diagnosed and treated mental health problems. He told me that βsome people are just like thatβ in regards to an issue that affects my life in a detrimental way. I was not looking for a diagnosis but merely trying to find someone to prescribe my medication when I could no longer see my first doctor. An absolutely appalling thing to say to someone in this context. It was like a slap in the face. I would not recommend him to anyone. I found a much more understanding provider and would never return here.
Dr. Bajwa and his staff are awesome. Ive known them for years and never had any problems with them or their customer service.
I owe my life, and that of my family, to Dr. Bajwa for more than 3 years now. He is a blessing, as are his staff, especially Cindy. Truly kind and caring. I wouldnt be here without him.
The staff has always been pleasant and very accommodating. Scheduling with them is easy, and any rescheduling is taken care of with no hassle.
Dr. Bajwa and his team are caring, professional, and extremely supportive. Dr. Bajwa worked very hard to find the right mix of medications to help me. The IOP program is fantastic. It is hard work, but the therapists and the group format work so well. They helped me see that my life has purpose and that I can manage my depression and anxiety, instead of having it manage me.
Avoid at all costs. If I could give this location fewer than one star, I would. Dr. Bajwa is not an understanding or compassionate man. It is very clear to patients that he is more interested in his business with the pharmaceutical industry than in treating people with dignity or respect. The office has printed signs for pharma reps and, despite expressing that I had NO insurance and could not afford a new non-generic medication, he pushed me into trying samples of a brand new medication. He is condescending and is quick to panic when a patient is distressed. It seems that he buys into the stigma that mentally ill people are crazy and that someone who is expressing their feelings in a less-than-calm way is automatically dangerous. The commentary from other reviewers about the drug testing is spot on. This is 1. a way to run up the insurance bill and 2. a gatekeeping procedure to keep people who use drugs from getting the treatment they need. I was told specifically that treatment would be discontinued if there was evidence of drug use. How are you serving your community by pushing your most vulnerable members away. No sorry for your experience reply is going to suffice here. Unacceptable practices at premium costs.
I love the providers. They are very willing to listen and help you. They really hear you.
Dr. Bajwa treats both of our sons and me. He has never been anything but kind. Today my son left his office on a cloud. Dr. Bajwa had given him concrete ways to treat his intrusive thoughts. Dr. Bajwa has performed miracles with all of us, pulling us out of deadly depressions. I wouldnt trust our boys with anybody else. Is truly compassionate and listens.
Absolutely abusive, drug tests at EVERY visit despitw what you might be going for, pushes new medications because Bajwa has his pockets lined by big pharma. Attempted to hospitalize me for having an anxiety attack despite clearly stating that I was not a risk to myself or others. Avoid at all costs. Also, not LGBT friendly.
I really enjoyed my experience with them. I had to leave once my insurance changed and was not covered here. but i high recommend cary behavioral
I came here for treatment with moderate to severe anxiety. I waited for a very long time for my first appointment, and had a random pee test which I have never had with any psychiatric treatment ever, seems like a way to run a bill up. The doctor himself was meh, leaned very heavily on me taking anti psyhcotic meds for bipolar which Ive never been diagnosed, we finally agreed on something else which I ended up reacting to...the following is why I rate this place so low...I called back explaining my reaction and after a week someone finally called me back and said to wait a week to get it out of my system then call back to discuss other options. I did just that only no one answered my calls instead about a week later I went to pick up another medication for a differnet issue and apparently Dr bajwa had called in a drug gabapentin without even consulting me first or giving me a reason or explanation as to why they drug was chosen. I called back and expressed my concerns but again no answer. This whole process has added to my stress and axiety. It is very dangerous and unprofessional to not call someone and explain why a certain drug was chosen.
In the pursuit of gaining a better understanding of myself and always wanting to be better than I am I have thoroughly enjoyed the staff and have already seen self growth. Thanks CBH!
If I could give this place less than 1, I would. This program did not help me out. They tried to get me fired by not filling out simple FMLA paperwork. They are charging top dollar for little to no customer service. Save your money and go to individual therapy. Group therapy is a scam. *DO NOT GO HERE FOR HELP*
Went for anxiety....left worse. Poorly organized
The front office staff are always friendly when you go to check in. I have seen two doctors there to help me with my problem of sleeping thru the night. Both were concerned and with the help of a sleep therapy program, I am sleeping thru the night and waking up refreshed. I have never felt rushed during an appointment. The only negative comment I would say is, do not expect to be seen at your scheduled time. They usually run 20-30 minutes behind. Great office. I would highly recommend them!!!
Top notch mental health care. Service providers are very caring and of the highest caliber.
From the moment one enters the door and is greeted at the front desk, one finds warmth and friendliness...It is a joy to know that I am being treated by a team of professionals...staff; doctors that care about behaviors that make the patient realize changes that would support a full and healthy life for oneself and everything afterwards falls into place.I cannot wait for each appt...it is awesome to have the support that I need to be cognizan of behaviors that can become damaging actually to the ones that I love the most! There is no better behavioral therapy and it is Godsend to me...if you want to change a belief that is a stumbling block ...a behavior that is a stumbling block in reaching your full potential...be honest with yourself and come to Cary Behavioral Health...they will support you in developing a joyful life...do it for you...I did!
Cary Behavioral Health Office workers Mary Carol, Nichole, and Cindy have been outstanding through out my visits.
We LOVE the Holly Springs office of Cary Behavioral (animal documentaries aside). Mary Carol (front desk) is always warm and friendly, and Jessica (NC-P) is incredibly patient. With Tourette Syndrome, ADD, Bipolar, Deoression - treatment and medication can be tricky, but Dr. Bajwa and his team have been amazing!
So I really do love the providers here. I do. I really appreciate how Dr. Bajwa is open to allow me to make decisions on my medications WITH him. He answers my questions about medications and my treatment plan. I feel that he is looking out for my best interest and wants the best for me. I also cant say enough about how much I appreciate Carrye as my therapist. She is patient and kind. I also feel like she wants the best for me. I have also gone through EMDR therapy this her and it made the world of difference. My qualms are all about the timing in which I am seen when it comes to seeing Dr. Bajwa. I feel like there is no regard that we are all behavioral patients and some of us have quirks. I have waited upwards of 35-40 minutes to be seen. I feel like Im fragile already and this is rocking the boat making me wait longer. I dont even get an Im sorry for your wait from him when I am eventually seen. Im looking for some acknowledgement and some restitution in the form of better future practice. I can be patient for my turn but after 15 minutes I need to know whats going on. Please keep me updated. Its the least you can do.Also, the chairs in the vitals room are super uncomfortable. If Im having to wait there for 15-20 minutes, can we do something about this? I appreciate the upgraded furniture in the waiting room. Very comfy. But also, this doesnt mean I WANT to sit on it forever.
Trans-friendly counselor, Carrye Addonizio, has helped me so much with trauma recovery and never misgenders me. psychiatrist dr. bajwa referred me to a sleep center and made it possible to identify and cure my sleep apnea. very thorough and kind!! front staff is always friendly and efficient.
This doctors office saved my life- Ive been to several other psychiatrists before (over a decades worth) but I cant thank Dr. Bajwa and his team enough for all of the help they have given me. They are attentive, insightful, and dont sugar-coat their opinions. I always leave there feeling like I have learned something new about myself, and they dont eagerly prescribe unnecessary medications like some other doctors i have experienced. Jessica DeMotts (NP-C) is fantastic as well as their office staff. Please go see them if you are hurting like I was!
After six months of being with the practice I agreed to revise my review. I am still not over Dr. Bajwas lack of consideration for peoples time. My initial visit he was 25 minutes late. I leaned in on him about it and he suggested this practice might not be for me, but, since I wasnt there for him I stuck with it. Second time I had to see him as a followup I had a 9.20am appointment. They open at 9am. At 9.30 Dr. Bajwa called the guy next to me back. I said to Dr. Bajwa I thought we had a 9.20. Doc said you are next and walked away. Rude. I saw the patient next to me go into the sub waiting room and him pull another different patient out of the sub room and go into his office. Now at 9.40 I walked out because there was no way in hell Dr. Bajwa can get through TWO patients in a reasonable amount of time. Meanwhile I am sitting there burning money by missing work. To this day I was in the office no less than 6 times. He never once attempted any contact to apologize. I understand things happen. Stuff comes up. If you simply say that, then people wont be so salty. But, since you didnt and had every opportunity to, I assume Dr. Bajwa has given up long ago.Dr. Garvin was my primary and she was actually really nice. I would recommend her. When going to a practice, be patient, because they are usually 10-15 minutes late, even for the first appointment of the day. I adjusted by showing up 5-10 minutes late for each appointment and I think it went unnoticed. If it was just doctor G I would give the practice a higher rating, but Dr. Bajwa just left a bad taste in my mouth. If he reached out and apologized I would give them a 4 or 5.
AWFUL I AM STILL ANGRY AFTER MY 11:20AM APPOINTMENT AND ITS 8:45PMThis doctor never asks how you are doing, first appt. he changed all my medications including my benzo script. I went through horrible horrible withdrawals. Finally i got admitted to the hospital, after i told the doctor, he just said ok, and changed the whole subject. He trys to be so arrogant and TRYS is the key word here, but it so easily seen that he is like a broken record just has the same comebacks as to why he changed all my medications or why does he prescribe me medication that I have tryed and it doesnt work and I cant even afford it. WHY? all his med changing and his demeaning talk made me bed ridden for 2 weeks. I just hope for the best every day now that I find a new doctor. This whole website is full of it, trys to make it look so modern and with such highly skilled staff. Bunch of crock. Fancy and overrated. Rude staff and horrible doctor experience. This place claims it specializes in ADHD, what a bunch of crock. The worst unprofessional staff and doctor.
Excellent reminders, friendly staff, an all around pleasant experience!
Helpful office staff.
Not LGTBQ friendly.
Employees are kind and welcoming
