Our son has been benefiting from the expertise at Wolf Educational Consulting since his first session. He instructor, Jo Garvin, has a natural ability to connect and form one-on-one relationships with her students to meet each child’s unique learning style, needs and goals is remarkable. She has a very hands on, colorful approach to learning and her passion for teaching has given our son enthusiasm about learning and achieving his goals. She takes great care to craft a comprehensive, individualized multisensory approach that addresses our son’s needs in phonics, fluency, reading and comprehension and evolves with his development.Jo also closely monitors our son’s progress, adjusting her lesson plan to meet his pace and growth, which has enabled his quick progression in these areas. She provides detailed feedback of his lessons, including what he worked on, areas he struggled or showed improvement, and suggestions for supporting him at home. The transformation we have seen in our son’s abilities and academic confidence because of her expertise and approach is astounding. He started as a frustrated student lacking the foundation and instruction necessary to succeed in reading and writing. Now he is motivated and confident. Simply put, having specialized tutoring with someone who critically evaluates your child’s needs, tailors instruction to the way your child learns best, and is gifted at connecting with students of all backgrounds and abilities, is priceless.

I really cant say enough good things about Wolf Educational Consulting. We have been working with Donna for about 4 months and the progress weve seen is incredible. My childs spelling and reading has increased exponentially. We had done spelling practice and sight word flash cards and games for years without any improvement and after a couple sessions my child is able to master sight words we could never get. My childs writing has alwats been nearly illegible due to both penmanship issues, spacing issues and spelling issues. Now my child can write legible and has so much more confidence writing that she is writing so much more, even more than what is required for writing assignments which has never happened before. The sessions are all over zoom and I was very concerned about how a kid with attention difficulties would be successful with zoom learning but that has not been an issue solely because of how amazing Donna is. Weve had technical difficulties and Donna is always so patient and kind about it. Ive not had a working printer for nearly the whole time due to various moves and issues and Donna just rolls with it and shows my child everything on her screen. This week they went over their time and my child asked to do one more sentence and Donna obliged and then my child wanted to show Donna their new bunk beds and Donna said yes and commented on how great they were. She is an amazing tutor and person and keeps my child so engaged. The progress has been incredible. I cant recommend enough.

My son (8) has been struggling with reading his whole life, the public school could not help him. He can re-code a robot 🤖, but needed us to type in the robots name. We tried many different tutoring programs and places. Our son did not click with any of them the way he did with Barb and Amanda. He now asks if he can go to reading every day.While he is not miraculous reading books now; he is understanding the sounds letters make. This is on top of Mrs. Barb expertly recognizing that he was struggling visually and suggested we take him to an eye doctor. After he saw the eye doctor he was diagnosed with a visual deficiency. Now we know at home as well an education environment how best to work with him and now we are seeing dramatic results.On a practical parent note, the office is even in a great location. Lots of parks and ponds within driving distance to entertainment the other kid (s) while one is in session. Even Walmart and other shopping locations for quick errands.

The tutoring my daughter has received has been absolutely invaluable to us and I believe she has a friend for life! We are so blessed we found Miss Leigh.
