Honest mechanics. Quick and friendly service. This is my new go to place for repairs and vehicle related needs. I came in because my break light stayed on after the car is turned off. It just drains the battery completely by the morning. I read up online that this is often caused by a small plastic piece connected to the break pedal getting damaged. I came in intended to drop my car off. The guy took a look and confirmed that it is a quick fix. He went to his draws, got another plastic piece out and replaced it right there and then. He could easily have told me to come back and charge me an unreasonable price for labor or parts. I know a lot mechanics would do just that. I ended up having my oil and filter changed since I felt the need to at least pay them for something.

Pit Stop is the only place to go for mechanic work. They are reasonable, knowledgeable and honest. I can not say enough good things about this place. I have been going for years and I have NEVER been disappointed. Absolutely the best quality work & value.

I love this place. They provide an excellent value with an honest and ethical approach that is difficult to find elsewhere in automotive service businesses. They wont lie or sell you random things you dont need. They dont try and upsell or take advantage of customers with a lack of general automotive knowledge. I dropped my car off 3 times with no work ever being done... I called ahead each time, either that day or the day before and each time I was told they would be able to get to it that day and assured me that they could do the repair itself. Dropping it off each day at 9:00am and each time arriving that afternoon near closing time with my car sitting at the same spot I left it, saying they didnt have time. Over $60 in Uber fees later my car still isnt fixed.

I called and was quoted a price of $23.00 for an inspection. I was charged $40.00. My receipt is illegible, I asked for another and was told the printer was broken. Smells like cigarettes, rude gross man.

Kind of a rollercoaster here. I had called at 10:30 am to get a pre purchase inspection for noon. They said no problem, youll be good to go. I show up at noon and said hi i called earlier about a pre purchase inspection, they said that is no problem. As they finish the inspection, the front desk lady (wish I got her name) immediately says you know this was for a state inspection right? First of, why would you even ask that? It implies that you know the purpose of my visit was not for a state inspection, but a pre purchase inspection. Second of, why are you being so rude right off the bat? She forced us to pay the $30 and I wouldve taken it to another shop had the person I was buying the car from was closer. Absolutely horrible service from her. I had to go to chickfila after to experience good customer service.However, TIM saved the day. Thank you Tim. He had returned from their other branch, because the nissan hadnt showed up when in reality the nissan was there. The coworkers sent him to the wrong location, but he was still happy. He inspected my car and pulled me aside from the owner. He took me for a lap around the premises and explained in detail and with confidence that I should not buy this car. I was very grateful having someone look me in the eyes and mean what they were saying. To top it off, he waived the cost of the pre purchase inspection as I had paid for the state. He admitted it was the workers fault, yet the girl still had more comments to say. I simply said thank you maam and went on with my day.If you go to this shop, please request Tim. Fast and easy

Ive been taking my car to them for a couple of years. They do a good job and are pretty up front with what I need, what its going to cost and whether or not its something I could wait on or not. I really trust them to not screw me over on the cost and to get the job done right. They do run a little behind (time wise) sometimes but I am forgiving because the service is worth the wait. (Try them on a week day, that seems to not be as busy).Great guys!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I live in Knightdale, but travel the entire Triangle area for work. Finishing a lesson in Apex, I realized there was a nail in my tire. I had no idea where to go and the family in Apex recommended Pit Stop Car Care. I went to the Express store as it was on my driving route. I barely put my car in park before someone greeted me at my car with a smile. I was on my lunch break so I also asked for a tire rotation, and oil change. They topped off my fluids, changed my cabin air filter, oil change, air pressure in tires, plugged hole in my tire (very large screw with a washer) and even VACUUMED my car! Above and beyond my expectations and FAST! Less than an hour and under $75! Would definitely do business with them again!

I have taken my car in twice now to pit stop of cary. First time, had my flex pipes replaced and are an amazing price and they are very punctual in getting you out as quick as possible but still doing quality work. My second visit was just yesterday and I had to get a full wheel bearing assembly done. He had to call in the piece and had it within 15 minutes and me out of there within an hour and a half. Price was a little high but definitely the lowest but didnt mind paying a little more since I knew the quality of work in which they do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I brought my BMW here 2 years ago to oil change. I was supposed to pay 80 dollar but then they charged me 90 something because the had to add extra oil. Them they checked the tires air compression and they told me that the thing from where you put the air in was not working. They took air off from my tire . I was so worry. One day I decided to stop to the gas station to see if I could add air and my surprise was that nothing was wrong. Ever since I have never go back to this place again. Be careful when you go there.

My wife and I have been going there for years, but they seem to have gone the route of Jiffy Lube where they try to find a bunch of things wrong with your car that you dont need. Its too bad. They told my wife that she needed brakes. We took it to our regular mechanic and they said they were good for a while. They always say that we need our batteries replaced. Of course, they do brakes, batteries, and other things besides oil changes. They are pleasant enough to deal with, but its becoming more of a hassle to go there.

Not very impressed with the customer service. I have been looking around to find someone to check my check engine light for my car and I came across this place. I contacted the shop and spoke with Tim he said if I can swing by and bring my car he will look at it for me. I wanted to provide him with as much detail as possible to what I have researched on my car so I advised him with what I have cane up with. I stop by autozone and was told that the code is reading P2017. He interrupted me while I was providing him that information and said well if they told you that code that’s what it means. What do you want me to tell you. I proceeded to explain to him that Autozone did not have the part that I needed so I was told to contact my delarship. When I spoke to my dealership I was told that I would have to go to a delearship for them to tell me exactly what needs to be replace or fixed because the intake can have a small leak, or the wires can we worn etc. . If Tim would have let me finish he would have known that. Once I told Tim that information his exacts words was “well I’m not gonna do no diagnosis testing on no car at 5:30. So he says what’s the code I provided him with the code he looked up some information and told me I would need an intake manifold assembly so I ask how mich would that roughly run me for? His exacts words are “I don’t know about that, that means that I would have to do the research myself and call around”.Well I guess I would take my business elsewhere.
