I am a 3 year resident and signed up for my fourth.My first experience with apartment living and can honestly say this feels like home! Loved the office team that originally brought me in, but we have an incredible 5 star group now that truly care in all aspects.With a few minor issues, the maintenance team has always been been friendly, top notch and address the same day. Drove out on a Sunday evening, above and beyond. They are the best!Nice mix of residents, love walking to the square for a quick bite and feel safe and part of a community.Thank you Union Square👏

For real, this place is AMAZING!!! From the team at the front office to the maintenance team, everyone is always so friendly and willing to help any way they can. My wife and I, and our 3 kids, moved in about 4 months ago. The first thing we noticed was how Jessie jumped through hoops to help set us up on the apartment that fit us best. Then I quickly got on a first name basis with the maintenance team; Kendal, Moses and Chavez are awesome! I also enjoy coming into the front office anytime I can because Whitney and Marina are always smiling and down for a good laugh! We moved here looking for community and it is EXACTLY what we got!

Jesse is a God-send! My son and I looked at several apartments, but I was not completely satisfied with any of them. I was getting really discouraged because I was on a tight deadline. God led me to google “Carrollton apartments” and Union Square popped up. I’m really big on reading reviews and every last review was positive! I called and left a message. I asked my son if we could just drive over and look. While we were enroute, Jesse called back! He said he could accommodate my request and agreed to show us a model if we could get there by noon. We were about five minutes away! My son and I love EVERYTHING about this complex. The amenities and the amount of security really reeled me in. Jesse is so patient and detail-oriented. He explained the entire process to us during the tour and answered every question with ease and expertise. I can’t wait to move in! Thank God for blessing us with Jesse!

I live here. Got a great 6 weeks free deal. Lucked out, in building A overlooking the small pond and jogging trail. 3 nations brewery is across the train tracks, which is also a popular instagram picture spot. I got a laugh seeing ladies in sundresses tip toeing over rail stones to get a picture with a graffitid box car. Its a cool spot and neighbors are friendly. Office staff is pretty on point and no complaints so far. My parents live in Carrollton and I never thought Id see a walkable neighborhood like this. Cant wait for twisted root to come back

My overall experience at Union has been a positive one. During our apartment search, Jesse made everything so easy for us. He answered all our questions honestly and was always available if we needed him.We love our apartment and all perks that come with the location. Our apartment has a beautiful view of the 3 Nations Brewery. We are within walking distance of Downtown Carrollton and DART train. All shopping destinations are within 10-15 minutes by car. I love the big city living with the small town feel.There are a lot more amenities I did not mention, but I recommend you take a tour and check this place out for yourself!

I toured even though it’s a bit too soon to commit just to get a feel for the floor plan and to narrow some options down. Jesse was so helpful and patient with me going through all the options! The apartments are beautiful, interior and exterior, and the location is pretty prime for walks/bike rides and quick eats/hangouts.I will definitely come back and contact Jesse when it comes closer for me to actually sign a lease and I’m hopeful everything lines up for me to be able live here!

When I was Looking for an apartment, I was Looking for a good location where I could have restaurants, groceries stores, etc. When I went To look at Union at Carrollton apartment my wife and I really Liked it based on everything we were hoping to have. The staff is as really friendly and the process was fast and easy.

If youre looking for a new home, this is the place to be. My wife and I just moved in today and we absolutely love it. We signed blindly about 2 months ago and it was the best decision we couldve made. Jesse Juan has been so helpful in the moving process for us. He has answered what probably seems like a million questions without frustration at all. Hes so dedicated to his work and the complex and it shows! Bonus: our balcony faces the 3 Nations Brewery across the train tracks and they have $6 brews daily. Also, the complex has a guest suite that is available for use (if that brewery hits too hard). I moved in late October and Jesse was an amazing help. Any questions I had he was able to answer. Because I was moving during the pandemic, he made sure that everything was simple and easy to take care of. Plus they have cool events like happy hour and free Chic-Fil-A. Everyone I’ve met so far in the community has been really friendly as well.

Such a greatest place Ive ever chosen to live. When I came to Texas I was worried about where would be a quite, esthetic and comfortable apartment I will find out. To be honest, Union At Carrollton Square has achieved higher my expectations towards neighborhood, apartment and management. Thanks guys (and Jessy who besides speaks Spanish if you feel more comfortable with this language and will attend you excellently) for keeping up the great job.

The maintenance team is always quick to respond and so courteous. I put in a service request and received a phone call asking if it was okay to enter since I wasnt home, which I really appreciate. When I got home with my daughters at the end of the day there was a note that Kendall had been in to complete the request and a bag of tootsie rolls. Our Elf on the Shelf had just made her appearance a few days before and my girls were elated that the elf brought candy. Little did they know, someone MUCH more helpful than their elf left them :)

This place has been a gem and it will be hard to beat the quality here for a lower price. The security doors on property actually lock, which is an improvement over a lot of apartments around here. Plenty of parking and green spaces right across from downtown and the light rail station. Even during Covid they found creative ways to put on community events through food trucks and alcohol to go. Jesse is the only staff member I have interacted with so far, and each time he has been fantastic.Fantastic place to live. Keep up the good work:)

I really enjoy my apartment here at Union At Carrollton Square. Its nice to have a really great floor plan with features like granite countertops and new appliances. The property is well maintained and kept looking really nice. Jesse at front office is always so helpful. Definitely would recommend!

Toured today and overall, I’m genuinely surprised how well kept the complex is. Jesse was helpful in answering all my questions. Could definitely see myself living here. The complex isn’t cheaply made and pretty spacious plans for a 1bed/ 1 bath

Jesse and Whitney have honestly made my experience here amazing. For the amount of people who live here it’s amazing how attentive and interactive with all their residents here. They’re extremely polite and are always asking you how your day is or how you’ve been each time they see you.

The staff at Union at Carrollton Square are always friendly and willing to accommodate. We were having some issues with our ventilation and they did not hesitate to get right on it. My husband and I moved here a few months ago and we have only great things to say about it. Whitney was so helpful and patient with me and my health issues when I was first enquiring about leasing. The staff are always very friendly and treat us so well. Theyve been really careful throughout the whole covid thing, with excellent procedures but have still kept a nice community feel and try to do nice things for us. The maintenance guys are so lovely, like family and all requests are completed promptly and well. Really, we feel lucky to have found a place like this to call home and, if our previous HOA property management company had been as nice as the folks here, well, we might still be property owners! Living here makes us want to rent forever. Thanks for everything!

As a long-time resident at this location, I have nothing but praise for Andrea and the entire management and maintenance team that go out of their way to make this property a clean and comfortable place to call home.  A DART station is just a short walk away and is a great transportation alternative if you dont want to drive.  The property is just by the I-35 exit so its easy to get to if you do decide to drive.  A good management team will make or break a property so we are most fortunate that the entire property management team here are conscientious professionals that genuinely do care about customer service.

I have been here for 4 years. Even though, the office staff has changed, the Customer Service from the office and maintenance staff has not. Moses, and his Maintenance Staff is awesome. I have really enjoyed living here and do not anticipate moving anytime soon. So nice to have restaurants and shops to walk too! The office staff of Mandy, Whitney and Andrea is a great combination. Be aware of their sales tatics. I just toured this apartment community on Saturday and they gave me a quote that they told me would expire within 48 hours. I was quoted $1268/mo on a 813sq foot unit on Saturday and since it was a brand new community to me, I took a few days to think it over. When I decided to contact the sales person again on Thursday (just 5 days later), the price on the same unit had increased by $247/mo. I was told by the sales person that he told me prices increase everyday (hmmmmmm?) and that was why I should have made that decision within the 48 hours. When I told him that the units I was interested were out of my price range now, he suggested a unit that was about 150sq feet smaller, but that he would honor the 6 week free promotion. First of all, if you go on the website or drive around there - they have signs everywhere promoting that. Second of all, if prices can increase by that much within 5 days, I question how this management company will treat renewals - would I need to expect to increase $250/mo or more each year? Not good optics for this company, in my opinion.

Remember how cold it was in the middle of February? Not in my apartment! I had the temp. Set to 75, never went without water or electricity throughout the entire week.I am so glad I moved in.

Me and my boyfriend recently were touring about 9 apartments this past weekend and The Union at Carrollton Square spoke to us the most. We loved the lay out and the surrounding community. MANDY at the front desk was amazing at showing us our tour and was extremely helpful in helping us fill out the application. We cannot wait to move in and are excited to start a new chapter of our lives here!

The Union is such a great place to live. The apartments are gorgeous and spacious, and the office team is helpful and friendly. (Shoutout to Whitney, hey girl!) The maintenance team is always on top of requests if you have any. They aim to get your request done on the same day, and they usually do. The apartment complex has a parking garage at no additional cost unless you want a reserved parking spot. They also have carports and garages for the buildings that are not attached to the parking garage. The gym is good and well maintained as well are the pools, which is highly appreciated, especially during this pandemic time.One of my concerns moving in was the train, but honestly, as a light sleeper, I dont hear it. The hours of operation for the train are from 5 am to midnight, so technically, not a problem. The location is good. Right next to I-35 and like a five-minute drive from PGBT. So, a less than a 15-minute drive to visit Las Colinas at Irving, if you wanted to. K-town (H-mart, Daiso, KBBQ, etc.) is literally an 8-minute drive. Grapevine Mills is about 13-20 minutes from here, depending on the route. Galleria and Northpark are about 15 - 20 minutes away. 3 Nations Brewing Company is right across alongside Babes and Cane Rosso; you can walk over there if you wanted for either a beer or food. UTD is a 15-minute drive as well. The Field of Carrollton is about 15 minutes away too. This apartment complex is a hidden jewel.

Ive been at this community for over a month now and love it. From day one, Mandy F. did an amazing job on the tour and answering all my questions. The application is online, making the move in process much easier. Tammy R. was really helpful in communicating throughout the leasing process. The community is friendly and you have access to the Dart. The alerts we receive by email and phone are really helpful and convenient. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone, glad I did!

Weve lived at Union Square for over half a year and love this property! The amenities are well kept, the staff is super helpful and the maintenance team is there to assist any concerns you have! I’ve been living at Union Square for almost a year and I recently experience more than usual noise coming from my neighbors. I hear noise all the time and I’m okay with it because we live in apartments and we share walls. However, between the hours of 10pm -7am the noise is a problem. I let Mandy know about my concerns and she quickly helped me with speaking with my neighbors first to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the situation didn’t improved so I came to Mandy again and she offered to transfer me to a different apartment and showed me different options. Although I decided to stay at my apt until my lease renewal, I’m very thankful and appreciate the way Mandy went above and beyond to make sure I was happy living at Union Square.I also want to thank Andrea for ensuring me that there will work with me when my renewal comes up. I really love it here, my pup loves it here! The maintenance team is so awesome! Shout out to Brandon! ☺️

I have lived at this location for two years. The neighborhood is wonderful. I have access to great shops and restaurants in walking distance, and easy highway and local rail access to go where I like. The staff is great, and I cannot day enough about the maintenance team. They address issues quickly,, and will always greet you with a smile when you see them around. I plan to stay here for as long as I live in this area.

We like the security management here, each and every entrance is secured and feel safe living here. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. We are living here from almost 19 months and loved it. The management is friendly and helpful. Wayne is very friendly and best at his job all the time. The amenities are kept clean and all service requests are handled promptly. The maintenance guy Brandon was very prompt, always responded to all the requests very quickly. If you are looking for a secured and cool place to live then Union Square is the best place… We would recommend living here!

I have been here for two years and plan to stay. The amenities are great, and i have access to downtown Carrollton, DART, and some of the cool neighborhoods like K-town. There is also a great trail nearby to walk my dog. The office staff and maintenance team are friendly and helpful.

I lived here for 14 months. This is a very good apartment in a nice location. Wayne Thomson is very helpful and took care of any service request we had. Nice amenities and secured place. You cant go wrong with this place. I would highly recommend this place for people who wants to live in a safe place with good service.

It is my first HOME in the US! I am so glad that I found this apartment.Everybody always greets me with joy. Office alway takes good care of my packages. There was once I need to find a dog sitter. The assistant managers (forgive me for not having the name) offered me so much help.It is so easy to ask for help on maintenance. Brandon always brings dog treats with him and he is so nice to my dog. Garbage disposal dripping water? No problem. Brandon came help and got me a brand new one the next day. I feel like every request I put either through their online system or calling the office got taken care of so well.Gym has basically all you need for doing daily routine. And it is so clean and organized. Two pools are just lovely. I love the barbecue.It is all the details that make me feel like this is HOME.

It is surprising to see that there are 4.5 stars for this apartment, because it definitely doesnt deserve ANY stars. I had to place 3 service requests on my a/c within 60 days. Last request took 3 days to get fixed. Also, it was not fixed correctly that I had to notify the management again. Try staying in an apartment with broken a/c in Texas. What a joy. I HAD to make arrangements to stay somewhere else. When I complained to the area manager, Jimmy, he just told me that I shouldve gave them a call instead, where the lease clearly states resident to provide written notice. Terrible apartment and definitely the worst management.

Lived in this community for almost two years. I have lived in several apartments best experience thus far. Managers have changed a time or two but service only improved throughout my time in this community. Maintenance request are usually same day if needed property is clean and within walking distance to downtown Carrollton with great shops and restaurants. In doing my research I believe this is the best apartment in the area.

Working on my third year living here. I love the location-- right off from historic downtown Carrollton, 35, and a DART station.Management and maintenence staff are FANTASTIC-- always friendly and very responsive to any resident needs. Grounds are inviting, beautifully-kept, and tidy.Frequent community activities both for residents hosted by a great group of volunteers and also cool events right outside in the square.Id buy an apartment here in a heartbeat if theyd let me.

The office and maintenance are amazing! I put a work order in for my dryer and to my surprise same day mind you I walk in to my apartment after work to a brand new washer and dryer!! I would definitely recommend Union at Carrollton Square to anyone looking for a new apartment home!

We have no complaint about the apartments. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly. The amenities are kept clean and all service request are handled promptly. The Cares team coordinates socials or fun events every month to help enhance community in the apartment complex. It could be anything from handing out chick fil a biscuits in the morning to a super bowl watch party to appetizer at the local restaurant (1 block away). They also hold community crime watch meeting once a quarter so security is always improving. We love it and feel safe living here. The area is great too! We would recommend living here!

I only lived at Union at Carrollton Square for a short term lease of six months for temporary work relocation, but it was the most pleasant experience. The apartments look new and modern. I had one maintenance call during my stay, which was not urgent, and they handled it very promptly. The location is great and the people are friendly. I would absolutely recommend to anyone.

The property is beautiful and well-maintained. It is within a block of great restaurants and parks. The management is friendly and helpful. It is located close to the Dart rail and I-35. I lived there for two years and loved it. If they would let me buy my apartment, Id still be there. :)

Moved in 2 weeks ago and Jen the mgr is great and and very accommodating, the maintenance guy John is friendly and very good at his job. The property is even nicer than the photos. I love it here!

My fiancé and I just moved in here a week ago but it is amazing so far! The leasing staff was excellent in communicating with us during our leasing process and the online application made it super easy for both of us to apply on our own time with our busy schedules. Once we got moved in we had a couple of small maintenance issues which got taken care of the same day we had alerted them to the office. The maintenance worker even offered to take some of our empty boxes to the dumpster for us, and took the time to answer our questions about the community. I feel very safe in this community and I would have no issues walking outside after dark. The community is adequately lit and they have a courtesy officer who lives on site if there’s any security concerns. Our apartment faces the DART track (and we are on the second floor so we are almost at the same height as it) and when we are inside with the doors and windows closed, the trains are barely noticeable. Overall we love this community and as of now wouldn’t hesitate renewing our lease.

This place is absolutley horrible. The new management is terrible and they only care about making money. When I moved in the apartment was infested with fleas.If you care about your family or well being then stay away from this apartment. This place is unsafe and dangerous. I came home one day to find my apartment burglarized and ransacked. Even with the security cameras and locks on the door the thieves were easily able to access the complex. That same week I was then informed that someone was murdered at the complex last year. If you have a family or living by yourself stay away, youve been warned. FYI - Beware of the crack house across the street.

Been living here for two years, and only write this review now in the dark because the power has gone out for the 6th time ever since the additional apartments have been built. Blackouts can last for hours and have been happening even with just a little bit of weather. Surge protect everything, the power will struggle then ultimately give up, causing all your electronics to fail from the inconsistent power fluctuation. Also, get an apartment on the third floor, the floors are paper thin and the upstairs neighbors movement will echo through your own apartment. Two stars only for the proximity to the DART rail and old downtown carrolton. Increased my rent by +$100 after renewing my lease, and this is what I get? I strongly recommend researching other apartments before make a decision here.

We could have selected any place to call home, but my experience with the level of service from Wayne was above and beyond. I called in 1st and he answered the call unlike many other apartments when its 1 or 2 people there you get the answering service the whole day, however Wayne addresed all my questions when I called and didnt rush me off the phone. Then I decided to go in, not only because I love the apartment build layouts....No I went because many apartment agents dont take the time go address the customer like Wayne did, but instead they are short with you,trying to get you in and out quickly and dont care if you rent with them or not leaving with unanswered questions. If you are looking for a really nice place to call home, wanting 5 star service, and be treated as if you were their only possible tenant. Then you have found it at Union At Carrollton Square. I didnt really meet everyone in the office yet, however Im basing my experience I had with Wayne. He know his job and I can tell hes not just there for a paycheck. We are new to the apartments and hope the service level received continues. Wayne services is a needle in the hay sack!!! #DuplicateHim

Place is pretty nice. My only real complaint is the noise.The train is loud AF. It is not the DART rail, but an actual train. It comes every few hours between 10PM and 8AM. The dart rail also comes by, but is significantly less obnoxious.Also, they just broke ground on Phase 3, which (for me) means backhoes and massive augers and dumptrucks rumbling around every morning at 7AM. During the week it wouldnt be TOO bad (but is still annoying), but even on Saturdays I have to get awakened with (LOUD) construction noises way earlier than I want to be up.This is transitory, and only affects my part of the complex, but it would have been nice to get a heads up from management that this was about to dominate my life. (All the construction started 4 days after I moved in.) And the train also probably should have been mentioned.Other than all the noise, it is a nice location. I can walk to some of the best food joints around, and I often do.UPDATE:So, apparently these guys are pretty awesome. I went down to the desk and voiced my complaints about the construction and the trains. They said a lot of people were upset about the construction, and they were working on giving the residents their Saturdays back. They were trying to push back the start time to let everyone sleep in. SWEEEEEET.But, more importantly for me, they offered to move me to a unit farther away from the trains. I accepted, and will be moving in this weekend. I will be sleeping so hard next week. OH SO HARD. HARD AF. SLEEPING LIKE A DEAD GUY TAKING A NAP ON A SUNDAY AFTER A BRUNCH WHERE HE DRANK TOO MANY MIMOSAS.So, they took care of me and it sounds like they are trying their damnedest to take care of everyone else too. Good on them! This place is great. REVIEW UPGRADED!

Wow. I’ve nevee actually left a review on an institution but because I understand it’s importance to the success of a business, I’m taking the time to personally commend the establishment. Everything about this place screams excellence- the management clearly cares a great deal about hospitality and customer service. The entire front office is very very attentative any time I swing by to pick up a package or do something- especially Wayne. Maybe everyone is an old ex-Chick-fil-A employee??? Also many many thanks to the maintenance dude Brandon for helping us move our stuff into the storage unit we just started renting. Come live here. All of the 1 star reviews are attention grabbing BS petty complaints.

Union has been a good place to live. Kara and the staff are very attentive to tenants and truly care.

When we first stumbled upon these apartments we were blinded by the beautiful building, and “nice” upgrades they had to offer. We thought it was totally worth paying the $1400+ a month on rent. Once we moved in we realized the “nice” upgrades were more than just CHEAP. Plastic faucets that were broken, broken and flimsy kitchen cabnits, cracked granit, toilets that never worked and so on! After about 3 months of living there they started on phase 3, this would have been great to know when we signed our lease because if we had known that our view would change to a construction zone with a torn up street and bulldoxers we never would have signed. Why would you pay this much for this way of life? It is not like we are in a prime location! When we voiced our concerns we were just told that we signed a lease and had to abide by it. I understand laws and leases and contracts, but when you sign something with out being told everything I think there should be some wiggle room. They wanted us to pay $3000 to break our lease PLUS 2 months rent. One of those months we wouldn’t even be moving in the apartment but found out that they had already leased it for half the month that we weren’t there plus the month they wanted us to pay. They are such a rip off! They weren’t losing a dime with us breaking our lease.Some other things:You better like walking ALOT. The trash scouted are few and far between. Why would anyone want to walk a mile to take the trash out? Same for the garage. Unless you live right by the entrance then be prepared to walk a mile.There is a literal meth lab crack house across the street with strange people coming in and out at all hours of the day and night.There is zero landscaping. If I am paying this much to live somewhere then I want to have nice grounds! Throwing some mulch that gets washed away by rain is not landscaping.The apartments are so small. They are in no way spacious and have absolutely no storage at all!The point of my rant is don’t believe what they tell you when you sign and make sure to walk around and see everything when you tour!Basically just don’t rent here!

Recently moved in and everything about the experience, from the staff to the amenities to the apartment itself has been first rate.

I love living at Union at Carrollton Square Apartments - super modern appliances, modern amenities, cool pools, great location, the maintenance dept is fast and everyone is super helpful.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. AND IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS, I WOULD. OLYMPUS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE OFFICE ARE BOTH INCOMPETENT.I moved in June of 2014, when Union was still owned and operated privately (not by a huge corporation). The old management team was significantly better, responding to the smallest request in a very quick fashion, always going above and beyond my expectations. They operated on a more liberal basis, where I felt like there was more freedom and liberty, meanwhile keeping a reasonable tolerance on community rules and executing well on enforcing them. It was more of a family atmosphere, they were willing to work with you in negotiation, they were just good people, easy to approach and maintain a relationship with.THEN JANUARY 2015 HAPPENED. OLYMPUS PROPERTY BOUGHT UNION.Just as big government ruins everything that is good, so did Olympus. In came the attitude of Corporate America, all about the money, and treating you like a slave, a piece of garbage. If youre a few days late on your payments, well fine you first, and then send threatening emails to evict you. Rules? What community rules? They dont enforce them. I would like to exclude (CB), the Assistant Manager from this discussion, as he was great to work with, and should be the Property Manager.The Property Manager herself, (JJ), is totally incompetent as a professional. I think shes more worried about sitting in her office on her computer, talking on the phone, and her nails and hair looking good than she is helping people. Im also pretty sure she has the Assistant Manager (CB) do all of her dirty work with the people, like the Mafia. I think shes a prideful coward.I lived on the first floor on the south end of the building, and when the heavy rains came in June 2015, it flooded my apartment. My walls leaked from the heavy rain, and my patio leaked from the outside. The water dried on the hardwood and left water marks, but I had to live with the mold smell for the rest of my last month. NO OFFER WAS MADE TO THOROUGHLY CLEAN MY APARTMENT OR REPLACE THE CARPET IN MY BEDROOM, WHICH ALSO GOT FLOODED. NO OFFER TO MOVE ME WHILE THE CONSTRUCTION TO MY WALLS FROM THE WATER WAS BEING FIXED. Long story short, since I was moving out, she did the least amount of work possible. I think the Manager lives her life this way.I tried to contact Olympus Corporate to tell my story, and hopefully negotiate a reimbursement of my last months rent back, as the Manager was unwilling to work with me, AND I GOT NO RESPONSE FROM CORPORATE AFTER LEAVING MULTIPLE MESSAGES.IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD RUN, NOT WALK AWAY FROM SIGNING A DEAL WITH UNION AT CARROLLTON.THE BUILDING AND LOCATION ITSELF IS GREAT, BUT WITH THESE CORPORATIONS, THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU, ONLY YOUR CHECK. AND FROM PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER PROPERTY CORPORATIONS, I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THE PROPERTY GOES DOWN IN QUALITY, AND UP IN CRIME.
