STAY AWAY! I took my car there 2 times and both times they tried to rip me off. The last time they said I needed 4 new break rotors. When I questioned the need to replace the rotors they sent me a picture of a rotor that was completely rusted. Funny thing is they had just replaced all 4 rotors on that car about 5 months earlier (about 2,000 miles). I had also looked at the rotors before I dropped the car off and they were fine, certainly not rusted like the one in the picture they sent.

They are great mechanics. If they dont know what the problem is, they will research it until they figure it out. And Nancy is a great front desk worker. She tries to help you any way she can. Highly recommended!

Recently started going to North Gary after moving into the area and so glad I did. They are a mechanic you can trust. They took a look at my car (which is getting a little older) and let me know what work needed to be done. They were able to divide the work up so that I could get it done as I could afford it. They were upfront with the cost and no hidden pricing. I will continue to trust them with my vehicle. I love that I can schedule the work to be done and they have the parts ready to go so the repair is done while I am at work saving me time and money. I couldnt be more pleased.

Brake light was coming on and off. Regular auto service I frequent was closed due to family emergency. Saw ratings to North Gary Auto and visited them. Brake oil reservoir was too low activating internal warning float. They topped off my fluid reservoir at NO CHARGE!! That rates them a FIVE STAR in my book and probably future visits!!

Honest reliable shop that know what theyre doing. Decades of experience and dealing with the same mechanics is awesome. Theyve been taking great care of my vehicles for over 20 years. I moved out of the are several years ago but still drive an hour to have them maintain my vehicles - theyre that good and fair and honest!

Recently I have been bringing in vehicles for safety inspections, fluid changes, tire replacements and all mechanic special chores . My most recent encounter was 12/18/17 I had called as soon as they opened asked if I could get a safety Inspection (which I recommend you bring your vehicle in!) they told me they were ready for me ASAP. I took in my car to address the engine light that was on. The woman at the reception was exceptionally nice. Ron, the mechanic, looked at my car and suspected the gas cap (it is not the original dealer cap). I was a bit worried I would be charged for unnecessary work but I should not have. This place is served by knowledgeable and honest staff. I’ll bring my car back for maintenance in the future.
