When schools closed last year because of COVID-19, my son was having a hard time with online learning. He kept telling me that he was not learning anything and he was not happy. He was becoming increasingly frustrated and I was so helpless. I started to look for support and was lucky to find Ace Tutoring in Carlsbad. They gave him an assessment and we gave it a try. Charlene has been always very accommodating and very helpful. If my son was having an issue with any material (English, grammar or math) I only needed to email Charlene and she would diligently prepare the class suited to what he needed. My son is back to school now and he is acing all his tests. I really appreciate and will recommend Ace tutoring to anyone who has a child in need of any educational assistance

I took my kid here around June he went for a couple months and nothing good happened. His grades stayed the same and he said the teachers didn’t help him and he just sat there and had to do the work on his own with little help.

These people are the greatest. We took our son there last year and his grades went up an entire point. The tutors are, without exception, very kind and patient, and now ACE is doing Zoom tutoring, which has also been very helpful.

Ace Tutoring is a non-descript tutoring service, but what really changed my view of them was how they treated us (and others) during COVID. First, they required all the money upfront, and then when the pandemic happened, they were just as rigid with the finance side. I think were not the only parents to feel like their focus is on the money, not education. When we felt we had no option but to involve our attorneys, Ace refused to respond to them. Our boys always had tutoring together--never apart, and Ace had them with different hours--which is an example of their terrible recordkeeping practices. The program was ineffective in part because the kids ate junk food and played around. In the end, they promised us a refund, but subsequently reneged on that. I wonder how many other parents like us out there feel they cant trust Ace either.

Great place for tutoring.

Steve and the staff at the ACE Carlsbad location are awesome. My oldest daughter improved her SAT score by almost 200 points. Charlene would also work with her on school assignments and upcoming tests. Right now my second oldest daughter is getting help for the SAT that she will take in March of 2018. When my youngest daughter is ready to take the SAT I will definitely sign her up at ACE Carlsbad!!
