Difficult since there werent anyone there to help as late as we went, but so nice to have a place to go 24/7. Hard to be ready for finding an animal that needs help, but gloves are recommended since you need to transfer the animals into the containers yourself.

They have a weird rating system for the dogs. Its almost like they dont want to get them adopted. Very young staff. So I dont think they have very much experience.

Generally they are good ..some dogs need a bath and trim for adoption to look their best. Wish they would do this more. They adopt out many sweet dogs.

We got both of our cats here. They do a great job, they have a walled off room where you can interact with your potential new family member. Great idea because you can see their personality and temperament. Great place and the price is right.

Unfortunately the foster care was full, but they did offer a lot of helpful advice and guidance with finding the lost animal in need of a good home. i wish people would take care of their animals instead of abandoning them.

Found a hawk with a broken wing, called these folks up and they sent help within 30 minutes. Awesome work folks.

A great rescue temporary home for pet in need ! Great staff whom show their compassion for their job ! Helps to know that pets feel the comfort & new adventures awaiting them while in transition to their new homes ! I sadly had no choice but to take my pet dog Kodo to the Animal Rescue in Escondido & my 2 cats to the Animal Rescue in Oceanside ! And of course saddness filled my eyes as closer the time came to say goodbye to our loving pets, but what a sense of security came over our Pets as we neared the Rescue sites ! The 2 cats were crying & scratching their cages on our drive to Oceanside but as soon I neared the Resue center a sense of calmess over came the cats ! All of a sudden the stopped their crying and just stayed quiet listening to the sounds of their new surroundings ! And the animals at the Resue center barking, birds chirping, just a sense of calmess all around ! All these innocent pets / animals already at the Rescue center knew my cats & I were visiting and they were all welcoming the cats to their safe Haven !!!As did my pet dog Kodo ! He was taken to the Escondido Animal Resue for dogs ! Kodo over came a sense of calmess as he was brought into the Esco dido Rescue center! He knew he was in a Safe Haven & did not think twice about staying their ! It still hurts our hearts not having our pets but knowing that they were left in good hands & that they would be found new loving homes helps alot ! And I know that any pet / animal is a comforting friend when in need !Im glad that the Rescue Animal Services exist and do their best to provide the best care for animals in need ! A great sense of calmess all around just over comes you & the pets around ! And that speaks for itself because I believe animals have a great sense in both calmness & or danger ! The Animal Resue Centers most definitely represent a great sense of calmness ! For both pets & or past & future pet families !!! Thank you Animal Rescue Staff Members for your love & care & friendliness towards everyone & everything you all do in your animal rescue services !!!
