Chris L did an outstanding job detecting what was wrong with our air handler. Solved the problem without a hitch. Professional all the way. Called before arriving to let us know about when he would be there. In my book, he went above the norm to solve our problem. This was a late Saturday afternoon service call. Dispatcher did a fine job and getting us scheduled within 2 hours of calling. Pleasure to work with this professional technician and Company.

So many times when dealing with home repairs I have encountered bad customer service, tardiness, rudeness, price gouging and a host of other annoyances but Christopher has restored my faith in good old customer satisfaction. This young man was super knowledgeable yet didn’t talk down to me because of it. He showed me pictures to show everything he was trying to explain and I actually felt like I was truly learning instead of just being told. I’m a new homeowner in Florida and my home needed a lot of repairs that cost a lot of money so I’ve met some unsavory people but this young made it all better in just one visit. I would highly recommend this company from start to finish they do the right thing . The technician Christopher was polite and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem, checked to see if it could be covered under warranty but it was not. After I had to leave town Christopher went out of his way to contact some friends of mine that could let him in our home to complete the repairs in my absence. I called and Sue answered and I explain the situation. My father who lives alone but I still take care of called me at 6 with his a/c on the fritz. Ms. Sue told me she would have technician Chris out between 1 and 230 but that he would call me and tell me. He did too! Talk about service. He was kind and considerate to my dad, explained everything to us both and we will both be using this business again. Way to go Chris for top notch customer services.

Affordable Air & Heat was available next day to address an issue that occurred with our unit. Chris diagnosed the problem quickly and addressed it. In doing an overall inspection, Chris pointed out another issue with the UV light. We ordered parts to address both issues and within a few days, the new parts were installed. Being new to Florida, I had many questions about the HVAC system which Chris was happy to answer. I am very happy with the attention and service provided by Affordable Air & Heat. We signed up for the maintenance agreement.

I recently hired Affordable Air and Heat for service call. Unit was reported not cooling enough. Still running fine but cannot reach 74 deg. First serviceman came, and shortly left charging $69 for the diagnostics and whopping $196 for the 45-5 running capacitor replacement. (Capacitor costs $15 everywhere you check online.) Problem was not solved. Same issue remained. WARNING: There was no need to replace capacitor. Compressor was starting and running fine. Second service call was made. Service manager was dispatched this time. He suggested that evaporator coil needs to be cleaned, by being removed from the system first. Big job. $1,200 worth dust and deposit removal from the outside radiator fins. Diagnostics for this visit $150. Still no repairs done. I am $415 down. First call was misdiagnosed, with un-necessary work. I am not happy. I will not use their service again.

-2 stars actually. Their new hire tech that they didnt bother to train came to my home. I PAID $75 for diagnosis. I was told I needed a new condenser. Tech recommended which one I get and made sure it matched with system, told me when it comes in, call and he will install it. Unit arrives 10 days later when I am informed by the companies manager that they do NOT install units they did not sell. The tech never offered to sell me one and recommended which one I buy. Then when I get it they tell me IM ON MY OWN? This is what I get for my $75 service call and system evaluation? Their tech tells me to spend $2 grand on something they wont allow him to install and now IM left out in the wind with no AC and MINUS $2075? THanks so much!!!!!

Chris Lloyd helped us out of a difficult situation. He was professional, knowledgeable, and a great assist for resolving the problem at hand. In addition, he went the extra step of assisting us with issues unrelated to the service call that helped us solve the mystery of why some rooms werent cooling as well as others (we need 2 more air returns). Trevor fixed the AC in question professionally and quickly. My AC unit started leaking. I got a prompt response from Bill. He asked me a few questions about the issue and then came out the next day (it was Sunday late afternoon when I put my request in). As he suspected, the drain line was backed up. He fixed it in about an hour and the price was fair! I would definitely use Affordable Air and Heat again :)

Installed new water heater. Really happy with the price and how we were treated. Bill who did the estimate and Terrence who installed the heater were really professional and best of all very friendly. Wish we hadnt needed the water heater but happy we chose them to do the job.

The 5-stars belong to todays technician - Terrence Brown - who is an experienced technician with excellent customer skills. He is honest and up-front, even when he has bad news. However, there was way too much re-doing what had supposedly been done the prior day (maintenance) by an inexperienced technician. Affordable Air needs to invest more hands-on training for their newer technicians. This MUST be done with senior technicians on-site. Using phone support is only viable once the newbies are moderately experienced.

Having an AC problem in Florida summer during these challenging times can be difficult. Affordable air technician (Trevor) was excellent to work with as he got my AC cooling again in short order. Our air conditioning quit working on Monday afternoon and by Tuesday morning Trevor and Affordable Air had us back up and running. I had a difficult AC replacement as the existing lines were filled with water (due to a leak in the underground pipes) and the boys had to cut through 2 adjacent condos to get the replacement line outside to the condenser. Dan and the boys did a great job keeping my neighbours happy as they cleaned up after themselves. The job was done in one day and everything was neat and tidy as one would expect from professionals. I would certainly recommend Affordable to anyone needing AC.

My AC broke down a few times and being new to the area, I googled the first company that popped up and had them(different company)come out and fix it. RUN from this company. I have an extended warranty that they refused to honor a week ago on a Friday night. Climate Solutions was the former company. I paid 7k to upgrade to a four ton 16 seer unit from them on 6/21/17 and the date of ownership of the company was transferred two days later on 6/23/17 to Affordable Air and Heat. Probably just a name change but can’t say for sure. I was told at the time that they would still honor the extended warranty since I had just bought it. So, they’ve supposedly honored it since then. Every time they come for the service agreement that try to sell you duct work, insulation and they always tell you that you’re low on freon. I have multiple invoices from them honoring the warranty. I have two years left on it. So, I paid for a sniff test to find a leak and of course they couldn’t find it. Three weeks after their last service visit, it started blowing warm again. They replaced the inside coil under warranty. Three weeks later, it’s blowing warm again. Their tech came out and informed me that the new coil was frozen and I needed to shut the system down to let it thaw. It was about 10:00 or 11:00. He said that someone would be back by 7:00 to fix it. Around 5:00 I received a text asking me to turn the system back on at 7:00, which I did. At 7:15, I called and said that no one had arrived. That was when the manager, Jake Jackson told me that they were done with me and was no longer honoring the extended warranty. I explained to him that I had four rescue dogs and it was 87 degrees in my house. He said that he didn’t care. I asked for his name and said I’ll call back Monday to talk to your boss and left it at that. He then proceeds to call me back to antagonize me. He asked me if I needed help spelling his last name. He talked a real big talk and then proceeded to call the Cape Coral police and tell them that I threatened him. He said all calls were monitored for quality assurance. That’s illegal if you record someone and don’t disclose it, which was exactly what he did and he waited until after the fact. Tough guy. Lol. Long story short? If they had simply looked inside the outside unit, you could visibly see the leak. Called another company and they saw the problem within a couple of minutes. I had them install the proper size lines, which were never installed with the 16 seer upgrade. Turns out they require 7/8” lines for you to achieve maximum efficiency but that was never recommended or done. By the way, my house has never been cooler or less humid. Turns out I don’t need duct work or insulation after all. Imagine that. That would have been another 7k and still wouldn’t have solved my problem. These people are clueless.

My A/C began to work inconsistently this summer. The technician sent by Affordable Air & Heat to perform one of the pre-paid services was told but, he was unable to pinpoint the problem. Upon complaining, Terrence Brown was sent. He concluded that the compressor was the source of the problem. Once received, he installed it in a clean and efficient manner. It is the second time Mr. Brown has serviced lmy A/C and, in both occasions, his performance had been professional and thorough. The quality of his work inspires confidence in this company.

I would caution anyone who is considering using Affordable Air to read the reviews and do their due diligence. I had been a customer of theirs under this and their previous ownership (they recently changed their name under the guise that they needed a new start given the reputation of the previous name of Climate Solutions - do a search on them and you should see some reviews).They told me they were sending someone out for my maintenance check as part of an existing agreement we had that I had not planned on renewing. Since I had never paid for maintenance checks prior because it fell under the maintenance agreement, I assumed this was part of the agreement. It was only after he serviced everything that I was told there would be a charge. See attached email. Dispatcher failed to tell me that this was start of a new cycle, and I figured it was part of the plan. They also left the door off the system and have refused to send someone as they indicated that if he (the technician) had to remove the door to gain access he is not responsible to put it back (see attached screen shot).I think the other issue I had is after I disputed the charge, they sent me a letter that told me I had until January 14th to pay the bill (the service was done on 12/19/2019) or it was going to be sent to collections. So less than 21 days to deal with this issue. What was more astounding is that I then was texted and emailed on 1/2 (so 14 days after the service) to tell me that I was going to collections at 5 pm today (1/2). When I explained that I was holding a letter that told me that I had until the 14th, the Collections Manager responded with an email saying The 14th was a courtesy. I am not as nice as the local office.....I find that companies that immediately pull out the collections card when presented with an unhappy customer are ones that clearly have integrity issues. Look, perhaps they are a good company for some. I am sure there are those who think they perform admirably. The technician (Daniel) seemed very knowledgeable and was friendly.However, I would just caution those who are thinking of using them to document EVERYTHING, and take photos and keep logs of discussions. See my attachments for the correspondences, which devolved quite quickly into threats when I challenged the practices and policies.

Daniel and Chris showed up and were quick to find the problem. They gave me an option of fixing my old unit to give me time to think about it. They also gave me Quotes on new ones that I will be getting in the near future. Highly recommend them.

Had KC come out and give a quote for a removal and install of handler, compressor, and thermostat that was way better than I expected. I agree and we set it up.So, I get a notice on my phone telling me that the technicians will be out on the day we set, then another notice day of telling me who my technician will be and when theyll be arriving, WITH a picture. Definitely helped.The technicians were Charles and Junior. They were polite and enthusiastic and got the job done in a professional manner. They were even kind to my daughter who insisted on watching them, despite occasionally getting in their way (Shes 3-and-a-half). KC and another manager (I cannot remember his name) came out twice to check the progress and see if we had any concerns (there were none).I would recommend them again, hands down.

This AC company is the best they came and spent 4 hours on my AC and got it working after being without AC for a week. They are also affordable and dont try and rip you off . I am very satisfied and will continue to use them in future

Had issue for second time with our AC. Called and was put through to Jake the General Manager. A Sunday morning and he happened to be in our area and stopped by no appointment and no charge. He went above and beyond and diagnosed the problem and explained everything. Unfortunately not a fix today. Would totally recommend Affordable Air & Heating. The girls that answer their phones have all been professional and eager to help as well.
