I recently moved to canyon, Im new to the area. The staff is really friendly and made me feel like home. Love these apartments, they are well kept. I recommend living here!
Great staff and a great facility. If you’re looking for a place for your son or daughter to stay while attending WT this is the place.
Legends Canyon is a great community for colleges students! Staff works hard and very welcoming!
Terribly managed. My AC was broken for about 2 weeks in the hottest time of the summer while they showed absolutely no urgency in trying to fix it with absolutely zero communication on their part. I had to submit multiple work orders just to get them to know it was broken. And yet, nothing was done. I then called several times but was only met with managers avoiding my calls because “they are trying to get the pool ready for the hot part of the summer” so I had to take time from work to go into the office and voice my complaints. They do not prioritize their residents. Also, I currently live in a 2-Bed bedroom where my freind lived in the other room but moved out some time ago. I was told that the room would be filled in August, but I was moving out end of July so in my mind it wouldn’t matter, right? Instead, the management office gave me no notice and they moved someone in early. I had no time to prepare and tidy up since we would be sharing the living/kitchen area, instead a whole family just randomly showed up at my door.Overall, management is horrible as well as their communication.I do not recommend living here
Great location! Walk to class from your apartment. I checked out the grounds and their clubhouse as well as the model apartment. I liked it a lot and feel that this would be a very good choice for any student attending A&M at Canyon. I liked that the grounds were kept neat and clean. The club house had a gym on one end and some study areas on the other side of the main area. The study areas are great if you have a need to get away from all the distractions. Staff was super nice and very accommodating and really seem to want to provide a quality, comfortable and safe environment for their residents.
The first unit I moved into had pets when I requested to move into an apartment with no pets and the key didn’t work. The manger moved me into a new unit with one other roommate and although it was a four bedroom he assured me there would be no one else moving in for a while but less then a week later I had new roommates. I can’t really be mad because it is a four bedroom but he shouldn’t have assured me if this was the case. I found out that I was getting new roommates because my key stopped working again(2nd time). I spent 10 minutes knocking on the door and if my roommate hadn’t been home to open the door I would have been locked out for the night because it was after hours. I went into the office the next morning to have my key fixed. The girl that was helping me couldn’t find my name in the system. This may have not been the case but it looked liked they kicked me out even though I had already paid because they had someone else listed for the room that I’ve already unpacked my stuff and spent 3 nights in. She asked if I had already unpacked my stuff and slept there like I hadn’t just spent the last few days there. After this I was only issued an apology. Flash forward to a few days later and my key stops working again and it’s only my key and no one else’s. I don’t know why this keeps happening but I’m afraid my key will stop working and there will be one one to let me into the apartment. I tried getting out of my lease but I would have to pay a load of money. Moving into this apartment complex has been very stressful and I wouldn’t recommend moving here to anyone.
Best place in town and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Safety hazard...parents be aware. This place will move renters in and out without any heads up to current tenants. Our daughter has regularly come home...or woken up to strangers in the apartment due to tenants moving in. Imagine your daughter walking out of their room in their pajamas only to be greeted by a bunch of guys moving in a new tenant. Surprise!! We understand its a shared space...but not taking the minimal effort to send an email or text a notice informing current tenants that new people will be moving is not only just lazy business, its also dangerous business. This ongoing issue could easily be avoided with a little effort and common sense by the management...which is absent.
Yikes! Management and procedures do not take SAFETY of tenants seriously. This is an ongoing safety hazard the manager seems to either be not concerned of...or just incompetent. There have been many, however most recent occurrence the manager said, “someone” called daughter to inform. However there is no missed call, no voicemail, no text, no email...nothing. A sticky note on the door would at least have been something! Safety is a minimum expectation for any business and unfortunately the management here seems to be so far in over their head that it’s not even on their radar.
It is similar to that of the Gilded Age (aka Golden Age). It is shiny and new on the outside, but hollow on the inside. Legends Canyon likes to reel you in on free amenities and then charge you for going over the utility caps every single month. During COVID-19 in the month of March-June my four bedroom apartment was only occupied by one of my roommates. One person in the apartment managed to go over the electricity limit all four months? Legends Canyon is a scam. They do not care about you, the community or their residents. Ask about past and current management:) and the great flood of building 1 (Ive lived in Legends since it opened)
When they say 1 room apartment, they mean 4 people in a 4 room apartment. At the very least, their listings are misleading.
There are for sure a few ups on this place, but from my experience a lot of gaps that can be filled for improvement. When I first moved into legends I specifically requested a first floor room, and the employee I talked with guaranteed I would be having a first floor apartment, no charges. Fast forward I have my car loaded up and didn’t have anyone there to help because again, I was only moving into the first floor. I walked into the office to officially sign my lease and get my keys and then I was told “something happened with my roommate” and I got located to the THIRD floor. Well I had no where else to live so I took the offer, and moved all of my stuff up by myself. I then asked if a first floor room were to open up could I possibly switch? They assured me of course due to the fact of me relocating wasn’t my fault. Fast forward, this is where the trouble starts to pile up. My roommate and I had conflicting schedules, not her fault at all. The walls are thin and I could hear every thing from my neighbors, and especially when my roommate had guests over. The day I moved there was a crack above my door that was from the building settling that got filled in. My front door had to literally be tackled like a linebacker to be opened. The day of moving out the actual handle fell off the door, and my friends almost got locked out of the apartment. Again I didn’t really have any issues up until this point. I then was informed by another resident that a first floor room was open because they spoke to the manager about switching rooms and they asked if I wanted to be their roommate. (This was about 3 weeks after I moved in) I then visited the leasing office and told them about switching and they said of course after the room has been inspected and made sure everything was functioning I could move. Then they explained I had to pay a relocation fee which was around $200 (give or take). I explained to them I was moved last minute and told I didn’t have to pay a fee, but the employee who handled my contract quit so there was no proof. Then I received a call the next week saying I could move in. I packed up half of my apartment and called down and was told “that employee was confused, the room isn’t ready”. The NEXT week I saw them using that exact apartment on Instagram as a showroom. Again I was irritated but I just casually sat and waited. I was told that I had to wait because COVID was starting up so I couldn’t relocate due to students who lived in the dorms were moving into certain apartments (Three months passed and I never heard another word about it again). I then fell under one of the clauses to terminate a lease, due to a circumstance I had no control over. I had a hard time by doing so and had to hire a legal assistant in efforts to educate the employees of legends that holding me in my lease was illegal. By this time I was out of the area due to my situation and had to have some friends move my stuff. I finally got the OK to move out, without a termination fee and all credits on my balance would be paid back to me. I had my friends move me out; turn in all of my keys, and gate button and even signed paperwork saying they did so. A few days later I received an email saying my keys were never turned in and I’ll have a termination fee if I don’t do so. Again that is illegal hence why I got a lawyer, you cannot charge someone a termination fee when they fall under the clause of cancelling a lease at the drop of a hat, and the keys were already turned in so I shouldn’t be charged in the first place. Come to find out the employee that accepted the keys was FIRED. So the keys were never given to the manager. Months passed and I never received my refund check. I called and spoke to an employee who said my money went into an early termination fee and I actually still owe them money. I asked to speak to the manager and found out they don’t have one anymore! So long story short, the employee turnover rate is ridiculous there. I lost out on a months worth of rent I was supposed to get back, and a very upset legal partner.
The property is very appealing. The staff is nice and courteous. They were able to answer all my questions
The CA’s were awesome and always helpful. The walls are very thin and the hallways are almost always dirty and disgusting. Also the current manager is very difficult to talk to and doesn’t tend to give the tenants the time of day from my perspective. The manager before did a great job of that so hopefully that changes. The aren’t very lenient and don’t work with you. Overall it’s convenient but definitely overpriced. Not exactly what I expected living here.
The best place to live, so sweet and so kind and are so willing to work with you! Love it here!
As a previous employee I would not recommend this place. The management is absolutely horrible. Not only does this place throw in lease changes whenever they want but they do their absolute best to make you feel like youre in the wrong. I was excited at first dont get me wrong but when I noticed that the manager would just change up leases and than not tell the residents about it. I soon came to realize what kind of place this was. One thing to make clear to all current and future residents. You LEGALLY DO NOT have to pay anything more than what your lease says! Also on January 25th I was told I never paid the month of NOVEMBER, FREAKING NOVEMBER, and they tried to make me pay it. So I went to the office and made them find the MONEY ORDER (A CERTIFIED PREPAID CHECK) and they just tried to run it again! So than it came back bounced and they put those charges back on my account. Than the manager tried telling me that kids can download an app to spend the money on that. So this already looks like this place is stealing money. Always check your accounts people and make sure your money is going to your rent! I WILL NOT LIVE HERE AFTER MY LEASE IS UP!
Maintenance came today and a several of my belongings are missing. They left my front door unlocked, and bedroom doors open. They didn’t inform me when they were coming. and this isn’t the first time, the last time they came in the morning I got home that evening to the door wide open.
Looks nice but the building is drafty and has a some problems. Tenants allow dogs to urinate and deficate in hallways and stairwells. Also management is trash
Places is nice. I love the pool area and all the amenities that they offer for you. The only thing is that for rent they start charging you on the 3rd for it being late so they don’t give you a big enough grace period. Most people who get paid get paid on the 5th and 20th which means they will charge you about $50 extra for it being late which I don’t think is fair. Many other places give you 5 days after for you to pay rent and also some extra charges will pop up on your accounts sometimes. Also maintenance will come into your apartment when ever they want and won’t give you a heads up besides knocking. I don’t feel like this is safe for you or your belongings. Other than that I really have loved living here, very close to campus, very nice kitchen and living rooms, and the pool is absolutely great but I will not be living here next year because of money issues.
I will not be sharing my name because in response to other reviews the manager has given out people’s personal information (nicknames, places of employment.. completely unprofessional). there was a power outage here that lasted almost a week, and now the wifi has been out all day despite the manager saying people were “working on it”. Updates for stuff like this are not sent out unless we call multiple times to ask about it. The building is built poorly and is infested with bugs. i have been harassed out in the parking lot by a large group of men sitting on the hood of my car. the gate is never closed so if you’re looking for security don’t live here. I have woken up to a weird noise at my door and found something lodged in between the locks as if someone was breaking in. Another time a worker was trying to open my door. I followed him out to his truck and he said “it was the wrong apartment” and drove away. My door is constantly breaking and being “fixed” then breaking again, my top lock hasn’t worked for months and there is a huge gap in my door. None of the doors inside my apartment close properly and there are huge cracks all over the apartment from the building “settling”. Nobody keeps their dog on a leash or picks up after them. I don’t understand why people don’t take their dogs to the dog park to let them poop instead of out in the parking lot. my neighbor yells at his dog every single day because it is not on a leash. i have seen dogs alone walking around the parking lot at night, which is not safe for them. no action is taken when people don’t pick up after their dogs or are seen in broad daylight without a leash on. there is poop EVERYWHERE... at least once a day i watch a dog pooping in front of my apartment and their owners do not pick up after them because they know there are no consequences for it. a dog recently DIED from parvo on the premises here, which means someone was able to sneak an unvaccinated animal into the complex or the staff just didn’t check their shot records. there are constantly screaming drunk drivers here on the weekends which worries me that someone will crash into my car, especially because they are not parking in the visitor section. i have videos of drunk people fighting and screaming outside of my apartment on the weekends, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone got shot here within the next year. if you are looking for a safe place to live that is worth the price, i would recommend looking elsewhere. if you are a single woman do NOT walk alone here at night.
DONT MOVE HERE! The employees have stolen my packages multiple times until 2 months later when I filed a report and did all the process myself because I got ZERO help or even attention from Brooke the manager and other employees. When the investigation finalized and USPS gave me paperwork of who they turned it into, when and their signature they happen to “find” my missing packages within 2 minutes after I had come down to the office multiple times and called every single week. Maintenance comes without notice, left my door unlocked twice, once left the lights on, entered my room without permission and left the front door wide open one time as well. To top it off the two maintenance guys Jon and Joe were admiring my things when they came last time and then said they would be back that day, I asked them to let me know because i no longer trust them to come in and out by themselves and they said they dont have to. Which they do unless its an emergency according to the contract. Then i come from work later that day. Door is unlocked and im missing SOOO many things. You could tell everything was moved and bedroom doors were left open even my bags were left open. Tried to talk to Brooke AGAIN and she said she was too busy. Didnt care. These apartments are the worst. Wifi doesnt work most of the time and they let the residents blast music all day and all night with no consequences and when you call Brooke or the 24 hour line no one cares. WORST APARTMENTS EVER.
Incredible apartments... even more incredible hospitality!
Beautiful new complex with the nicest, most helpful staff!!
Great staff to work with..
