Always love riding the lift to the top for the fall foliage. Beautiful scenery in the hills around Canandaigua Lake.
Great fun on a beautiful day even without the snow.
Absolutely amazing experience! Will go again. Everyone at the resort is very professional and friendly. Premises are amazing. We rented ski equipment, we took lessons for kids and everything was above expectations. The only thing that is not ideal (and its not likely to change) is that the hotels are all about 20-30 minutes away from the resort. However, I will embrace even that since the overall experience is great.
Had a wonderful experience. Never been skiing before in my life!!! I took the First Timers course and my instructor Warren was the best!!! He took his time and really showed me a lot. He is a very passionate guy and wants to see you do well. When I come back to visit it want to have him as my instructor again. The rental process was good as well. Everyone was very helpful.
This was my second visit. First I did the aerial and this time the zip line. This place is worth every penny. The guides are extremely safety conscious and polite. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is for you.
Definitely the best mountain to ski near Rochester. All their slopes are well maintained and they have plenty of trails.I’d give it a 5 star but 4 will have to do for now since it can get very busy there. The bar and cafe can get so crowded on weekends that there’s no where to sit. The lodge area next to the shop is a free-for-all so there are groups, bags, and equipment everywhere. This is only on the weekends. The weekdays are not so bad.On the mountain side of things... very quick chair lift. Even with a long line, that line moves quickly. I love the terrain parks. Also, watching the China/US team do freestyle jumps is simply amazing. Fun stuff! Great mountain overall. Minus 1 star for very crazy busy weekends.
Beautiful views. Lots of great outdoor activities. Highly recommend
The runs are long enough and no lift line in triple lift. Hope you can develop a easy run on the other side of the mountain in the future. Use a magic carpet connect the triple and galaxy lift. Then we can make the full use of the high speed galaxy lift. Thank you.
First time skiing at 47yrs old. Took first timer class with rentals. Facility was well organized...rental gear was in good condition. Instructor was great and fit as much as he could in the hour and a half. Was comfortable with a base knowledge at the end of the lesson. Spent the rest of the day practicing. Amazing time with my family!!!
Our family of four had a wonderful time skiing! We took the lesson together as a family as my kids had never skied before and my husband and I wanted a refresher. The instructors were patient, kind and encouraging. We had a great time and by the end of the lesson my kids were going down the bunny hill without falling. We will definitely be back this season for more!
Bristol Mountain Ski resort one of the best resort in this side, its really very fun place. Mountain shape & maintenance is very up-to the standard. Price is not cheap for entry, training & rental. Also there is ski equipment sales center which have all good brand but too much expensive. Overall is good.
Normally I would have given Bristol Mountain a higher rating. But when I called to see if I could get my 86-year-old grandfather a seasons pass with some kind of a discount or even free for that matter they wouldn’t even reply. I think when you’re 86 and still skiing that Bristol should give you a ski pass for free. Especially since my grandfather has been buying a ski pass there for over 30+ yearsIs there no loyalty or respect or encouragement for our older generation?
Great ski and snowboard condition most of the time. I love night skiing here because it isnt that busy most of the time. Great place for some exercise. I have been skiing for 3 maybe 4 years and its is a lot easier because you know the mountain and even if you dont the green and blue trails are the best for a beginner or and intermediate skier or snowboarder.
Nice outing to enjoy the colors of Autumn!
Had a great day of riding at Bristol Mountain! Conditions were a little icy due to a warm week prior to the temperature dropping again. All in all though, things were fun! They have multiple terrain parks for people to progress their riding and they adequately space the features for sessions. Not sure if it was COVID-19 related, but they only had 4 hour passes available and they were equivalent in price to full day passes for mountains of the same size in the poconos.
Great Octoberfest and Sky Ride!
My family had fun learning how to snowboard, very good instructors. I sat in the lodge, just wish the lodge was more like the ones you see on TV shows. A fireplace and comfy seating.
Thursday afternoon 2/4/21 on the mountain was close to perfect! Nice day after several days of fresh snow - warm with barely any crowd! Cant wait to get back there...
Bristol offers about 8 or 10 different runs varying in difficulty. If youre an intermediate to an advanced skier, you wont find the black or double black challenging, only one run has moguls. The perk is that its an easy day trip from Rochester (45 minute drive), so it makes skiing more accessible if you cant get out West or to the North East. They offer a season pass, so if you live nearby you can make skiing part if your weekly routine. Place is very kid friendly and its fun to see all the high school ski teams race! They didnt do so well with snow conditions last year, not sure if they even had 100 days. But that seems to be a problem all over upstate NY.
Really consistent conditions and fast chairlifts make this an ideal place to practice skiing. Also, most of the tend to be very good so you dont get cut off very often.
I took my daughter there to learn to ski, and she had an amazing experience. The instructor was great (Craig I think). The mountain was in tip top shape as well.
Great signage and reminders to people to mask up in the lodge and while standing in line. Really good conditions, with snow making taking place. 16 inches of new snow this past week. Twilight lift ticket on sunday 1-24-21. We will be back!
Took a beginners ski lesson today, never having skiid before. Lesson was good, Larry was great. Skiing is hard and I hate it, but the bar is good too 👍
Fast in and out check in and out lift tickets if pre order on line everyone is complying with Covid rules.Cleanliness of bathrooms and food area. Ski conditions are great!!I only wish they would have more options on season pass like other ski resorts. Over all great
Rental shop person was a little gruff when I picked up but the drop off person had a better attitude. Slopes in good shape.
Ive been to Bristol mountain three times this year. Each time was better than the last. the price was right and the people were always very courteous and interested in how my ski day was going. I will return!
I came here for a first time snowboarding rider lesson and rental. This was my first time getting on either a snowboard or skis. The rental process seemed a little disorganized. I was given a 10 second overview on how to put on snowboarding boots. The rental office never gave me a snowboard or helmet and I had to go back and grab those.Dayton was my instructor and was really great. By the end of the lesson I was still on the bunny slope, but he had gone over all the basics of snowboarding, how to turn, how to stop, side slipping, and some things I could practice on my own for next time. Dayton was also nice enough to answer some of my questions about buying my first set of equipment and how he was able to progress from a beginner snowboarder.I would definitely recommend the first time rider package for anyone curious about snowboarding or skiing.
Bristol is a great local attraction for people to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. Its not the largest or most intense mountain but its a good family place
Skied this morning and neither the triple or Galaxy lift were running. Huge lift lines. No snow on Lower Northstar for intermediates??They advertise two high speed lifts but it it mystery when they will run the Galaxy quad?Seems management never leaves their offices to set what is really happening.
During Covid 2021, I purchased 3 learn to ski tickets for out of state guests. Had to pre-purchase online to guarantee lesson availability due to Covid. Understandable. Well it rained the entire weekend they were in town. This was Feb/March. The season is over and I ask if I can get the tickets transferred to next season, Nope. Tickets say non-refundable. I ask to talk to a manager and they will not transfer me. I am out over $300. Worst customer service ever!
Took the First Timers class last week. The instructor was very patient and did an exceptional job!Absolutely had a blast! Heading back this weekend for the next level class!
Great place the food is awesome I went there with my scout troop 37 join the troop if you want a fun Boy Scout troop. Anyway the instructors are really nice and I love the whole place.
Definitely one of the best resorts in nys, decent amount of trails of all difficulty. Trails are well maintained and ski patrol is always out and about. Most workers are extremely friendly. The main lodge and outdoor seating are great, food is decent . Overall great place to ski for the area its in and not too pricy.
Been skiing a long time. Not the best, probably just average and on the slower side. Ive always been to Swain so I was a bit uncomfortable with the size but they had a good variety of hills, easy to understand where everything was and they were well organized with lines despite it being a pandemic. However, my biggest issue was the lack of courtesy during skiing. Very few people had respect for others such as shouting if you were coming close to them or about to cross paths. I watched a snowboarder run straight into my friend on the hill which could have been prevented had he shouted Watch out or something. It made me feel very unsafe and too alert to really relax and ski. They also lacked enough staff to clean tables where people had been; it wasnt pleasant being rushed from a table by other people who couldnt wait for it to be wiped down. Based on all these observations, I gave it three stars. Could be better and could be worse.
We enjoyed the Fall sky ride that took you up the side of the mountain on their Comet ski lift. It was lots of fun and the fall foliage made it very beautiful. You could either walk down 2 trails ( beginner or intermediate) or ride the ski lift back down to the base of the mountain. Great way to spend an afternoon!
The slopes and facility are great, been visiting for over ten years but I will NEVER enjoy how over priced Bristol is.Bristol: 4hrs for $77+-or-Drive to Gore Mnt ($20 gas), ski for 8 HOURS ($65) drive home ($20 gas). Its an interesting balance of price vs convenience. I love skiing, regardless.
A local place with two high-speed lifts and great snowmaking and grooming
I spent so many weekends here growing up, it was awesome to come back and see the lodges redone! The Comet Express makes the resort.
Awesome today. Bluebird sky. Fabulous conditions. Come on down!
One stop shop? This is a buffet, of all types of trails and equipment. Absolutely loved this place.
Twilight pass is a great deal. Great rails and fast lifts. Always fun at Bristol.
Good mountain fun runs. Lodge feels a bit small. Rental area is slightly dated and cramped.
We had the opportunity of visiting Bristol Mountain this past weekend. We did the Fall Sky Ride and..........it was AWESOME! The ride was smooth, quiet, and simply BREATHTAKING. My family and I had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and professional. You saw others patrons passing you on the ride, and you would wave to one another. We walked the trail and took in all the gorgeous sights. The ride was very CLEAN & SAFE (the seats were space out behind one another, sanitizers were available everywhere) I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this activity to any and all(couples, families, friends, groups etc.) You wont be DISAPPOINTED. 😊
Just got back from my first time riding at Bristol. Im native to the Syracuse area and am usually going to Labrador, Toggenburg or Greek peak but am very disappointed with the status of the terrain parks. They look the same as they did 15 years ago and are rarely set up well. Bristol has the best terrain park within decent driving distance from Syracuse or Ithaca and thats all me and my friends wanted to ride all day. Other upstate resorts need to take notes because its honestly embarrassing that they havent realized the draw of a good park.Besides the park the rest of the mountain is super fun. So many side hits, we were going crazy.
They are working hard to get the season going. Great remodeling on the main building. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Cant wait to get skiing. Thanks to Dan and his whole team.
Bristol Mountain, is a great place to ski. I like the 1200 vertical. I think they had a good idea, when they named the trails. Everything is space related. Its a little challenging on some trails, but have a veriety, to my ski level.
For the area, it’s a decent mountain with decent pricing. I do not like their new Covid rules of having to sign up online. It really doesn’t matter if there are 500 or 1,000 people there. Everyone lines up side by side for the lift anyway. They shouldn’t limit the amount of people. Just makes getting a ticket frustrating.
Great skiing and doing a great job keeping patrons safe in the times of Covid-19.
Great place to come ski! Twilight ticket is a good deal especially when the snow is good.
Visited in summer so everything was closed but the grounds were very well kept and everything was beautiful!
Really nice experience. The only problem is in the food court where people claim tables, and find a table to eat is almost an impossible mission.
Right niw in the fall Bristol is offering fall rides and the leaves are so beautiful. The trails are well taken care of and most you can hike up or down. In the winter love ti ski here. Sometimes the lift lines are a little long but it is worth it. Would recommend skiing here for intermediate to advanced skiers but there are a couple beginners trails.
Always have a great time when we are here. Trails are well maintained and we never have any issues.
Bristol mountain is always a great place to go.
Despite the dreary weather we completely enjoyed the Bristol Mountain Ski Ride! The ride to the summit was spectacular with the fall colors and awesome views. Once we reached the top, we found ourselves needing a little something to satisfy some hunger pangs. We found our way to the food tent and had the perfect fall comfort food, Chili and Mac & Cheese! Both were hot and tasty and then we mixed them together to make the best palate pleaser, Chili Mac & Cheese! Look out upstate New York, this may just make Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! It was the perfect warmer upper before we finished it off with warm, yes warm Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts and coffee. The ride up was beautiful but the ride down was visually stunning! Looking in all directions you saw the real beauty of upstate New York, spectacular views you can only find here. If you havent taken the Sky Ride, you a missing a great afternoon enjoying the best part of New York and some delicious comfort all food favorites at the top. Go if you can, you wont be disappointed.
Great day of skiing at Bristol. My husband is in the military and the lady we bought our tickets from was nice enough to give us all 4 tickets at the military price. It was such a wonderful surprise! Used our saved money to enjoy a round of beers in the lodge après ski!
Bristol has been the highlight of our year the trails are perfectly groomed, staff is helpful and ensures safety.
