I really enjoyed playing this course. Its well taken care of and Im great condition. You could easily walk this course as the tee boxes are close the greens and not hilly at all as with a lot of PA courses. The roll the greens and were quick. Sand traps were raked. Course is a bit narrow with trees lining each fairway but could still hit driver on most holes. I will definitely be playing here again.

Its a nice golf course. The price is wonderful and the are some challenges. Like sand traps, water 💧 and narrow fairways. There were 2 or 3 tee boxes that needed work but overall I enjoyed the experience.

One of the best local public courses in the Butler County area. Course is well kept, nice layout and the greens are usually the best public course greens for the entire summer. Clubhouse has a small bar for drinks and limited kitchen. Additional event space provides a great location for golf scrambles.

Its a great course to hit the long ball. Swing away. The greens are nice and not challenging. So golfing here makes you feel good.

Rude customer service, called to see if I needed a tee time. They told me they had 3 leagues going out at 1 pm and I couldn’t get out but had tee times available on their website until 3 pm and he proceeded to be unprofessional. Thank god I didn’t book online and drive an hour, this place seems like a joke and I won’t be playing it. Get better customer service and stop acting like this is still a country club.

Course is in good shape for this time of year - March. Fairways are in decent shape. As expected on a public course, greens are very slow which makes them difficult to read. Yardage is true to markers. Lake Arthur golf club is a challenging course. You have to keep your ball in the fairway to score. Although fairways are wide on many holes, you still can get in trouble (mostly because of trees) if you dont hit your ball straight. The only problematic areas of this course that needs attention are the bunkers. Hard sand forces you to chip out of bunkers (but this is seasonable). All in all, Lake Arthur is a nice, flat course that provides enough challenges for all levels of golfers.

The greens are about the nicest thing on the course. Poor fairway upkeep makes it difficult to differentiate the fairway from the rough standing at the tee box. Also their website doesnt show rates or note the fact that they WILL NOT accept cash, because they dont want contaminated money, yet their bar/clubhouse area fully accepts cash no problem. You cant buy your round with cash, but food and drinks are no problem. There are much nicer courses for the price that they charge that have better upkeep.

Extremely fast green tees and fairways in avg condition. Falloff on the edges of the greens. No regrets.

This is a great walking course. Not very hilly. Well kept up. Plenty of bunkers and ponds. It rained profusely a couple of days ago. But the course seems to have excellent drainage.

It was in good shape and it is a challenging course. Of course with four ts to choose from everyone can enjoy it.

Very nice course. Greens are quick and plush. Fairways are well maintained and fees are reasonable. Nice variety of open fairways and snug ones. I enjoy this course at least once a week.

We had our golf league Christmas Party. The tables were very pretty. The food was wonderful. We always have a great event there. Would highly recommend.

Nice fairways and great greens. Workers friendly. Got out early and played in 3hrs 20min. My friend had a hole in one on #9.

Great greens, Well maintained. Relatively fast and definitely undulating. Some water holes and a couple have forced carries. Bunkers have decent sand. Moderately wide fairways with a few tight fairways. A couple doglegs. Trees, but not too many. Relatively flat, especially for western Pennsylvania. Modest pro shop. Bar and dining are just okay. The service is fine but the bar is a bit shabby. Nice newish meeting/banquet hall. Good carts. Reasonable rates. No driving range (as far as I could tell). Just okay practice green. The greens are the standout feature for me. Despite getting lots of play they were in excellent condition. Worth a try for sure.

Its like golfing in a hay field. There was literally tumble weeds on the fairways. The club house is even a barn. Flat and boring. Except the rough, I was waiting for a Velociraptor to jump out of the long grass. That got the blood pumping anyway. The staff/management also leave an awful lot to be desired. Greens are fast tho for what its worth.

Ive been golfing around Butler for 35 years. If Lake Auther is a goat path then those are some privileged goats. Lake Arthur is a well maintained public course. The greens are excellent. The course is watered. The course is about as flat as youll find in western PA, yet the curse is challenging enough to make you think (or at least wish you had when a bunker, tree, or water come into play.). There a very few blind shots. The staff is excellent and the course welcomes families on Friday nights.I enjoy my time at Lake Arthur whether on the course or tucked into an order of wings and pint of stout after. I would recommend anyone to give it a try. And as with most golf in the area, it is a bargain.

I had a funeral dinner the other day here at the banquet hall and have to say that dealing Scott was a good experience. He was able to accommodate us on very short notice, was kind, and had everything ready for us earlier than expected even. Beautiful property to hold any kind of gathering with the view of the golf course out the bay windows. Clean and upkept property with adequate parking for hundreds if needed. Thank you again for the accommodation.

This is a very nice public course with a good layout and generally in good condition. Very reasonable greens fees. Definitely worth playing.

Course was wet due to all the recent rain but still playable. Greens were in good shape and very fast.

Manager was a jerk. Only allowed people to start off 1 and the front was crowded but back wasnt. Then gave me attitude when i politely asked why nobody was allowed to go off back

I golf here 3 or 4 times a month. Very nice golf course.Just played here on Saturday May 26, 2018. The rough is getting bad. My friend and I have golfed here for the last 6 or 7 years, 2 or 3 times a month. Hopefully the new manager is able to get it under control, would be a shame to see a great course go downhill.

Always enjoy playing here. Challenging par 4s and 5s with the lakes to the left andright of the fairway. Almost 800 yards difference between seniors and white tees. Too much yardage.

Friendly staff. Great prices for a quality course. Shop has good prices on stuff and saves you from having to go to Dicks

Fair course with challenging greens. Not picturesque but fair pricing and good staff. The course is in good condition (mid summer) but Im not going to rush back to play anytime soon with the many options in Western PA.

Greens way to fast again this year and will never play here again just unfair to be on the green and 3 putt redickulace on multiple holes and cant hold quality shots and not hold. Save your money on green fees and play a real coarse!!
