NOT WORTH IT. DO NOT USE BUDGET RENT-A-CAR, WHAT A NIGHTMARE. LA branch charged us $250.00 cleaning fee after returning the car for Excessive Interior Dirt - Sand. I have the pictures of this Excessive Interior Dirt - Sand posted below. Mild sand from the beaches we visited. We Googled a car cleaning service in LA and for $60.00 theyll detail your car, clean it up and down, polish, etc and wash the exterior. Budget is charging $250.00 for 90 seconds worth of vacuuming. This is a disingenuous cash grab at best. I hope its worth it for them. I will happily pay more for their competitors in the future than give these thieves my business ever again. For your own good, do NOT ever do business with Budget or its partner companies. My wife and I are going to go out of our way to ensure this costs Budget more than $250.00 in business with an exhaustive social media campaign. Friends of ours on FB have shared experiences with competitors to budget. In one example, their baby vomited in the back seat and despite best efforts to clean the seat, the smell lingered and they were sure their rental service would charge them to replace the seat. The budget competitor did not charge them for that. Yet we are getting charged $250.00 for light sand and Budget wont budge. DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET. PAY MORE FOR COMPETITORS WHO ENGAGE IN HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES. PLEASE COPY AND SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE.

Reservation made for 10am pick up in Burnsville of 24 ft truck. Got there only to find out they dont have one! OPTION 1: wait 2 hours while they have one from Minneapolis to be delivered. OPTION 2: wait 1 hour while they go get a smaller truck from Bloomington. I made my own 3rd option... go to Uhaul!!!!

Person working at counter was not wearing mask correctly (below nose). I was told i could not rent vehicle with my debit card, that budget does not accept debit cards which is incorrect!! Wasted my time!

Awful customer service. Rented a truck a month ago. They cancelled it a day before our move. They rent their trucks to UPS and do not guarantee they will have one for your reservation. We are left with nothing to move with as any other company is booked.

I see now that my awful experience with Budget is all too common. Heres my experience. I reserved a truck from Budget for a cross country move and received both an immediate confirmation of the reservation as well as a follow up confirmation just a couple days before the rental date. The night before the rental date, at the end of the business day, I received a call that they didnt have a truck for me. The person on the phone offered nothing but to tell me of the lack of a truck and to go elsewhere. When I call them to complain, the person referred me to their national call center. The call center took the information with a promise to call back in 3 hours (they didnt). When I called them back, they also had nothing to say other than go elsewhere. Their response to my question of what is the purpose of a confirmation was that it didnt guarantee a vehicle and there was nothing they could do. Since there wasnt a down payment required, there wasnt any financial penalty to be pursued. I think anyone reading this can see what a bind this puts their customers in.Budget, how is it with todays technology that this is even a thing? Why bother with a confirmation if you are not going to honor it? I certainly dont know your business challenges but inventory management where you cannot honor your commitments shouldnt be one of them.

We stopped in a day early, an hour before closing to see if we could get our car early so we could get a head start on our road trip the next day. The owner was able to accommodate us and give us an awesome daily rate. He also gave us suggestions on how to save money the next time we rent a car. Super friendly! Will rent from here again.

Used Budget for an in town move. After calculating the mileage needed for the move the truck was rented with the appropriate mileage purchased. Upon returning the truck I asked if any additional charges would be made and was told no. Several days later I noticed an extra charge. Upon reaching out to the first line customer service I was told we went 50 miles over the purchased mileage. I requested to escalate to the next level of customer service. This level was extremely slow to respond and simply said well check with the location and then said we cant help you. At the very best the Budget employees are incompetent and cant enter mileage correctly. At the very worst they are fraudulently charging cards and stealing money from their customers. If you like paying for something you didnt use then this is the place for you.

Horribly maintained truck. Bad front suspension, smelled like smoke, and had a tire that had a plug in it! Ya it went flat on the freeway and then had to wait for almost 5 hours for Budget to get a service vehicle to come fix it. Truck was dangerous and would pull to the right hard during breaking. I dont do reviews usually but be warned if you decide to rent from Budget. Worst driving experience ever. After weeks of trying to explain to customer service how dangerous and horrible their truck was I finally got half of my money refunded when I went through the Better Business Bureau. Should have been a full refund for all I went through with this truck. Rent from another company!

The guy working there is not very helpful also waisted 2 hours here for an issue that could of been resolved in a few mins. Also woke up to an additional 135$ charge to my account this morning. Smh terrible will never use this place for a rental again

The small waiting area was nice. The employee was very pleasant. It just took a long time to get checked out cuz it was so busy.

No offense to the owner, Mohammed was great. However, this truck was a death trap. After a few hours into my cross-country trip with a truck containing my entire life, the steering started to pull severely to the right. For over TWENTY HOURS I had to pull the steering wheel to the left. Even worse, the windshield wipers sounded like nails on a chalkboard with no rubber on them so I had to stop every time it rained. I called customer service repeatedly with no answer while driving thru the night. The truck was also filthy inside. This was an absolute nightmare. I have requested a refund and their corporate office offered me $50... what a JOKE! I will NEVER use Budget or Avis again for any rentals of any kind.

Horrible experience! By far the most unprofessional company. My first and last time using budget. I wanted to give them a chance and was very disappointed with the entire experience specially with their customer service. I made my car reservation weeks in advance to make sure everything goes smooth specially since I was visiting from out of state. The day I was picking up my car I called few hrs in advance to confirm everything and thats when everything started going horribly wrong. The person I spoke with was rude and unprofessional. First they couldnt find my reservation then they found it but didnt have a car for me. when they finally did have a car for me they didnt accept my card. They didnt refund my money and I ended up being stranded and to make things better I couldnt order an uber do to my location at the time. I relied on budget and I ended up stranded in a state Im not from without a car or any other form of transportation. I called to complain the next day and was transferred 6 times and had to repeat my info and story 6 times till I finally had it and asked to speak to a supervisor who was extremely rude and not helpful. She accused me of wanting free stuff when all I wanted was my refund. I will never go through budget EVER again and Im never recommending it to anybody. Im sticking with enterprise from now on. Save your time and money and dont use budget. No wonder they have horrible reviews.

The cars I have rented at this location have been ready promptly as promised. There is a safe location to park my vehicle while I use the rental car. It is pleasant experience communicating with the manager of the store who has put forth special effort to help me find suitable rental cars at affordable prices.

This location overall was a good experience! The car was immediately ready and I was out in about 15mns. I had rented a car while my personal vehicle was being repaired! I reserved the rental car for about a week, but was told if I returned the vehicle early I would only be charged for the days I used the car. I ended up returning the car 4 days earlier than expected and a different person that day said I still would be charged for the days that I didn’t use the vehicle regardless of what I was told prior upon pickup. I didn’t bother arguing, and later that day called budget customer service, and I was reimbursed for the days I didn’t use the rental! Wish they’d all be on the same page!

I have rented from this location 3 times before from Mohommaed, and after this last time, I wont rent from this Budget again after my last experience with a car rental...They did not honor the promo I has used to make the reservation I ended up getting charged way more than what I thought to me at the end, which is too bad, since I has been a good customer in previous years...No offer for a discount or anything, there are cheaper places to rent a car without feeling like you are getting ripped off. I have to say, be careful, and unless, unless you like being overcharged.

HORRIBLE AND FRAUDULENT PEOPLE!I placed a reservation and they collected my credit card information. They failed to provide the truck I reserved, saying that the person that they hoped will return the truck will no longer return it in time for me to pick it up. They put my business at risk and disappointed me the last minute.Worst still, a few days later, they charged my account for a service they failed to honor. I only noticed because my bank flagged it off and sent me a fraud alert.I called Budget truck to dispute the charge, and no one was willing to help. They just kept transferring me around for 30 minutes. Finally, when I got to the 6th rep, she said dont worry, Ill give you a refund within 5 to 7 business days.RUN AWAY FROM BUDGET TRUCK! Dont ever give them your credit card information! Ever!

Easy check in and check out, the owner of the facility appears to work everyday as I have always dealt with him for the last 20 some rentals. Nice person and he keeps his cars clean.

Worst Budget Truck Rental Services Here!!!I booked truck rental for moving within the city. I didnt think that it s just a pick up truck location. How harm it can be and I didnt read any review here. Indeed, i should read all the reviews and take caution before I choose to pick up my truck at this Burnsville location.I must says customer service is the worst here. We have never drive the truck and ask him is there any instruction or note that we should know. He said “no, thing” while he is standing at the key drop box. He was never bother to come near the truck or show us know to pull in/out the step tools or how to use the truck.When we return the truck and saw the step tools slipping out. He is right away lecturing us how we should secure the tool. In my mind, i said “WTF, you never tell us how to use the truck and now lecturing us how to use it when we return?” What a disappointed and careless for customer service.The cost of renting this truck is only $30 but they charged another $70 because we were unable to fill the gas. We ask if we can pay a little more if they can fill the gas for us because we dont know how to fill it. He was not giving any empathy and said they will charge $30 for not filling the gas plus $10 for every gallon we use. This is so terrible to pay for $70 more for renting cost of $30. Folks, please pay attention to that hidden cost they charge.Overall, very terrible customer experience at Budget truck rental in Burnsville. If I could give Zero star, I would do that. I would never go back again....Hope you all can read those reviews before picking this location for truck rental...RUNS GUYS! RUN AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY...

I wish there was a no star review. I had a 26’ truck reserved for over a month and I received a call 5 minutes before my scheduled pickup time informing me they didn’t have a 26’ truck available. Now I am scrambling to find a truck within an hour before the movers I have already paid show up.

Renting vehicles from this Avis/Budget location is great. They are so friendly and accommodating. It is a pleasure doing business with them.

My roommates and I received an estimate for a 26 foot truck, ended up getting a truck almost half the size for twice the estimate. Giving us the wrong truck would have been fine if they had actually not charged us for mileage like they promised to do.Overall to get a refund its been miscommunication between departments and a lot of footwork on our part. If you plan on moving, rent a truck from somewhere else.

I rented a car for in-town traveling. I was supposed to be charged for a weekly rate. I received a GREAT DEAL from this location. I was charged 298$ for one week including taxes. However, on the day I returned the car, I was charged for 358$. There were late fee of 10$. I dont understand why I was charged for late fee as I only used the car for 6 days, not 7 days yet and I returned the car during OPEN hours. Furthermore, there was a surcharge of 42$. All these fees were not told at all at the beginning.Pls avoid this location or you can give it a try if you want to know how it feels to get ripped off.

PLEASE never give this awful company any of your business. I reserved a moving truck to be picked up on 7/21 over a month beforehand. They called and left me a voicemail casually saying “there isn’t a truck available” less than 24 hours before we had to pick it up. When I contacted them for solutions they simply told me there was nothing they could do without any compensation for leaving me high and dry when I close on my home in 3 days. Not toMention not ONE person apologized to me for the inconvenience or their terrible business model. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will make sure everyone I know NEVER uses Budget to rent a single thing ever again. A terrible company with NO values toward their customers.

Good prices for rentals. Never had a problem picking up or dropping off.

3 separate customer representatives made 3 different assurances of how the forced changes (they gave me a 16 foot truck instead of my reserved 26 foot truck) would be rectified or compensated, all of whom failed to deliver. In the end I was refunded $5 towards my additional ~$20 of mileage fees (which were the result of the need for an extra trip because of the smaller truck). The list of other problems encountered goes on, but the root of it all is: Do. Not. Rent. From. Budget. All around bad experience.

I had a made a booking for a truck about a month in advance and the manager at this location totally let me down that day. He said he was out of trucks and had rented all of them the day prior-Who does that? Budget RUINED my move but thankfully U-Haul stepped in and saved the day! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION.

Best car rental around, but you have to go in and talk to the guy at the counter. If you try to call or go online, then you get kicked to corporate headquarters, which is moderately terrible.

Reserved a 16 truck but when I arrived to pick it up was told that they didnt have the keys. Whoever dropped the truck off didnt leave the keys. The customer rep said that hed know about it for at least 2 hours but didnt feel the need to inform me so I could possibly make other arrangements. It was late afternoon and there were no other 16 or bigger trucks in the area. This made our move a lot more difficult and all he offered me was 25 free miles.

If you like getting your credit card info stolen then definitely rent from these guys. I know beyond a reasonable doubt it was Mohammed Mohammed, the owner. Thats the first time Ive ever physically handed my card to anyone, they require a license on file which happened to have my billing address on it, and all the fraudulent​ transactions made were online purchases which dont require a PIN. Mohammed, I never use my CC to make online purchases. Thats what PayPal is for!!

Budget Truck Rental, Burnsville, MN - At first I had no issue with these people. It was after when it came to the deposit. I paid a cash deposit on the truck. He refused to give me the CASH back. He HAD to give me a check. It was a personal business wells fargo check at that. meaning I couldnt even take it over to walmart to deal with it. I dont bank at wells fargo, Im not the biggest fan of wells fargo, they were the angels in this story, and that is saying something. When I was putting down my deposit, I didnt have any 10s, so i had to do $160. He said give them the reciept of the deposit when i came to pick it up and show them the proof of the deposit. Thats what I did. He didnt even look at it. He didnt acknowledge it. Me being in a hurry as I was also babysitting a couple kids and in a hurry to get to the bank now that I had to cash a check before they closed, didnt sit there to quickly do the math. I got to apple valley and started thinking that something wasnt right about the math. I pulled over then and pulled out my calculator and my final reciept and did the math. He shorted me $10. I proceeded to call him. The guy then said well its human error and I said and I have to drive all the way back to you because of your error what are you going to do about me having to use my gas for all of this running around for YOUR error. He proceeded to SWEAR at me with the kids in the car who could hear him. I had to hang up because they could hear him. I then turned around and went back. To only wait about 20+ minutes for him to figure out his all of a sudden rush of customers. He is stuck on the speed of slow. I got the $10 back. I went to the back, wells fargo, to cash the check to find out that I then have to pay a fee of $7.50 that Budget WILL NOT cover to cash even though he told me to go there to cash it, so in turn their CUSTOMERS have to pay to cash the check. My bank is closed for the day. I also didnt want to give him the chance to cancel the check, and deposit it into my bank account and wanted it to be cashed ASAP. Mind you the guy I dealt with is the SITE MANAGER. I then turned around and contacted corporate and what do they say? What is the problem? This company is corrupt! I am sure that If I find my way up the managerial ladder that NOTHING will be done with this problem. I will be doing some more emailing and calling. I have a life too, but this has gone far enough. It went too far when he swore within ear shot of the kids.NOTE: a month later after contacting the BBB i got $10 back for gas, hassle and $7.50 for cashing the check. Do i think thia is fair no, i will not change my review, nor will i change my star rating. Why? Because I HAD to contact the BBB to even get my money back.
