Just moved to Burnsville from downtown Minneapolis, have easy access to three different anytime fitness locations in a 5 mile radius, tried all three but this one in Burnsville heart of the city stands out. Conveniently situated clean and well organized center. Though it doesn’t have as many weight racks unlike my previous one at university Ave, the deadlift platform makes it up for me.Less crowded compared to the others!
Great gym. I love the ability to work out anytime. I often see their staff there at night cleaning up and taking care of the place. They also are always improving their equipment.
I love this place! Lots of workout equipment. The crowd that comes in isn’t annoying. The employees are all very kind and helpful. Thank you.
People don’t wear masks and there is no one here to enforce it. If you can’t wear a mask then you shouldn’t be working out in public. Also, there’s hardly anything to clean your equipment. There’s three spray bottles and two rags for the entire gym to share. The disposable wipes are cheap and don’t clean well.
I love this place and the workers! Everyone is very friendly and encouraging! There is a great variety of equipment and I love using the virtual trainer!
Great place to get a good workout in! I like the atmosphere and all the equipment they have!
Always spotless and well-kept. Very nice location, lots of windows makes working out even more pleasant. Nice well maintained equipment.
Great place...clean and plenty of equipment!!
Not bad. Not as much strength training equipment as Im used to at other locations. Some wear and tear. You have to listen to the TVs through FM station and they are shared units....that is annoying.
Weve been members of the gym for about a year now. Its a great location for us, and it never feels crowded. The staff take the time to get to know you and are always willing to answer questions. The personal training is great. I was pushed, but it was all positive reinforcement to help get results.
Its strange to go back after almost two month shelter at home...6 feet distance signs are posted everywhere in the gym, and there is staff during lunch hours. However, only fraction of people wearing masks and not everyone does clean the equipment.
I cannot say enough great things about this gym! It is just the right size, never to busy and always very clean and well kept. The location right in the heart of Burnsville across the street from the Ames Center is very convenient. David, the owner, has been so encouraging regarding my fitness journey. And the HIT classes that Jill runs are awesome!!! Since Ive started attending Jills classes in February, Ive lost more than 30 pounds.
I called this gyms phone number for a simple question but the employee was instantly extremely rude and hostile with no given reason, towards me. The lack of care in his words, emotional instability in his voice and his disrespectful tone was all very appalling, and surreal. A saddening, disgusting show of customer service. I wouldnt recommend going to this anytime fitness to start a membership.*S/NPerhaps this employee was going thru a rough day but that doesnt constitute being disgustingly, rude Human Being to someone. Especially a patron of your establishment that pays dues for a professional service.
Fantastic jewel in convenience, basic equiotment, all operates well, no rust on anything, well maintained, Clean Club, wonderful owners, are helpful price makes sense affordable..... enjoy. Members are nice too...
Ive done some personal training sessions there and I noticed that the trainers are well-versed in their craft and do a great job of helping people achieve their fitness goals. Ive been to some other ATF locations and this one has been my favorite so far! Keep up the good work.
Brian (trainer), I just want to let you know that, although I may complain a little and have trouble keeping up with the group workout (kickboxing Tues & Fri.), I ALWAYS FEEL GREAT afterward!Thank you for continuing to encourage me at sticking with it:-). I may not be as fit as others in the class, but I sure feel fit and healthy after class.Brian, thanks for being such a motivating and fun trainer.Keep us all going strong (getting stronger)!!!
The manager is awesome and very supportive. There are good classes here as well.
Clean, quiet, well equipped club thats accessible 24x7. Its also very affordable.
Gym is never over crowded, staff and trainers are extremely nice and helpful. Equipment and cardio machines are well maintained. It is clean and a great place to workout!
I signed up for the 2 week trial through facebook and met with Aaron the owner. Really nice guy and the gym was very clean! I met with their personal trainer, Alex for the free no obligation physical assessment and wow was he great and NOT PUSHY! Even though I told him I wasnt sure I was going to sign up for personal training,he still wanted to talk and take me through a workout. Honestly it was simple moves but opened my eyes to the work I needed. He was honest and fun. So in the end I ended up winning summer pass to another gym from company so I will not be going with Anytime, but if I didnt get the membership I would definitely sign up with this gym. Julie M.
I signed up about two years ago after purchasing a Groupon and had to pay a $20 deposit for the fob needed to get in. I worked out there pretty religiously until I had a few injuries (unrelated to the gym) when I then signed up for two other gyms with fitness classes and more amenities (which were comparable in cost and more convenient). Overall up until then, I would have maybe given the club four or five stars. I kept my membership open because I called and they said I needed to sign something to cancel (plus I wanted my $20 deposit for the fob back) and they were never staffed when I was off of work. When I finally made it in while someone was working, they told me nothing had to be signed and that I wasnt getting the $20 back because they changed ownership. I know I have my contract lying around somewhere - but its not really worth it to go fight the new owners since they have already proven they just want my money (aka telling me I need to come in and sign something to cancel and not giving me my $20 back). I was told, when I went in to cancel, the owner would follow up with me - they did not. Overall, there are many other gyms that offer better service, have more amenities and a far better overall experience for pretty close to the same cost - dont waste your time or money here.
Ive been a LTF Diamond member for years, but have been working out here instead. The club is open, bright and clean with a great vibe. Nice selection of Life Fitness, Precor, Matrix and Hammer cardio and weights. Good free weight and functional area and studio with spin and virtual fitness. Friendly and helpful staff that provide free consultation and follow up. Great atmosphere and great value!!
I been going here for about a year, it was never very clean but it is convenient and not busy. Now they have remodeled new carpet, a stone façade on the office, and a 6 by 8 foot divider. The little divider took three weeks to complete. None of which makes my experience any better. Now they have canceled the TV monitors for over a month...Overall poor customer service.
A refreshing fitness club near by, so Ill come workout more often. The staff is friendly and efficient!
I am traveling to Minneapolis area for work. I have a nationwide gym network membership through my companys health insurance which allows its members to visit ANY gym in network at ANY time REGARDLESS of how many other gyms across the country they have access to. Anytime Fitness Burnsville is listed as a participating location, so I called them to schedule a time to get an access key for the week while Im on business travel. The manager informed me that since I already have a membership through this program at different gym at home that I would not be able to gain access to Anytime Fitness here in Burnsville. I called the Tivity Customer Service number and explained the situation, to which they replied that the manager was flatly wrong. I am indeed entitled through my subscription to the program to access any in-network gym at any time.It seems like this location is well liked by its members and I hate to bring that reputation down with a negative review, however my interaction with them has forced my hand.To Anytime Fitness Burnsville: I hope you correct this. Please educate your staff properly regarding how the Tivity fitness network operates. You have my phone number from the two voice mail messages I left today. I will gladly exchange this 1-star rating for more favorable review if you reach out to me and fulfill your end of the deal with Tivity health. Otherwise this review will remain here and I will be using my hotels much less extensive fitness facilities. Lets change this from a lose-lose to a win-win. Thank you.
Ive been a memeber here for over a year now and it has been a great experience. The facility is very well kept up, never overly crowded, so its nice not usually having to wait for equipment to open up!The manager, Ben, is a great guy! As a personal trainer as well, he has a lot of knowledge and is willing to help with any questions you may have. This gym will also be getting a full makeover at the beginning of August 2014. It will be expanded and brand new, state-of-the-art equipment and cardio room will be installed! All the memebers are very friendly and willing to help! With the price and quality, you cant beat this gym. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone!
Takes 7 weeks to cancel membership. Billed for extra month even though Im not using gym.
The free weights are cramped, the equipment outdated, and the space just not appropriate for any gym layout that I can determine. I only go to this location if time dictates that it is either go their or abandon the days workout. Especially since the Eagan and Apple Valley locations are exponentially nicer!
Never answer the phone and when you cancel your account they send collections agency after you for fake bills.EDIT:They worked with me to solve a scam issue, great people.
***UPDATED REVIEW**Ive been working out here for over 6 years and have watched this place take a nose dive under the old management and then completely redeem itself under the new team. I actually left and went to LA Fitness because I was so frustrated.I missed the convenience and did not like LA Fitness so I called ahead and stopped in to see about joining again. Kyle met me promptly and we had a great conversation about what he was trying to do to get the club back up to speed. I could not believe the change. New paint, new carpet, new machines, new weight sets, new TVs and a new studio addition. Its spotless and well-organized. Night and day difference.A gym is a gym when you strip everything down and some will say amenities are the deal breaker. For me its the people. Kyle, Alexa and Danelle and wonderful. I enjoy seeing them and actually building a relationship with the people who run the business. They are committed to continually upgrading the equipment and the classes/fitness menus. I love the WellBeats studio classes on days when I need a little kick in the butt and can choose from a list of workouts to take privately in the separate room with a huge screen and good loud music. I take the small bootcamp classes with Danelle. They are flexible and fun. I cant say enough about Alexa -- just a bright spot in the club.If you used to be a member and left a few years back Id say give it a try. Anything negative you read from 2014 or earlier is not related to the current gym or ownership. I am so happy I stopped in because now Im back at a smaller gym and because its more convenient I work out more.Everyone deserves a second chance and when you have people working as hard as these guys do to bring life back to place...they deserve a look.
Freshly remodeled earlier this year. New equipment, good space to workout, must try warrior classes, and friendly staff.
Clean and great gym. Friendly staff!
Its open 24 hrsNever crowdedKind of expensive for a small gym.
Not the largest anytime, but it gets the job done!
