Ive been working with Master Ron for a year and would highly recommend training with him and his school. Not only is he an excellent teacher with a deep knowledge base of martial arts in general, Ron has a way of explaining what he is teaching so each student can understand it. Ron encourages you to participate with what you are capable of now but always wants you to strive to improve. Ive noticed a significant improvement in my quality of life overall; my balance and strength are so much better. If you are looking for an instructor you can’t do better than Master Ron.
Ron Pfeiffer has been my Tai Chi instructor for 4 years now, and Im always learning new forms, movements and techniques. He is well advanced in the Martial Arts, having studied karate in his youth and now traveling to China to improve his skill levels and those of his students. Ron teaches all styles of Tai Chi and welcomes constructive criticism. When he is correcting his students, he is polite and courteous. Beginners are always welcomed and Ron spends extra time introducing them to the Art. His menu of activities is larger than that of a Chinese restaurant. Charlie L.
When I started doing Tai Chi two years ago I was unable to stand long enough to make supper, due to the drugs I take for a medical condition. After 4 months of Tai Chi, I noticed the pain and side effects were decreasing and the only thing I changed was adding Tai Chi to my retinue. My Oncologist is so impressed that he reminds me to keep up the Tai Chi when I see him. He told me that he thinks that the Tai Chi is working as well as the chemo to keep the cancer at bay. My instructor, Ron, is great. He is very knowledgeable and patient.
Ive been working with Ron for a little over two months now and he has been a phenomenal instructor. He is able to put you at ease and make the most difficult forms easy to learn. He seems to know exactly how to approach each lesson and his insights throughout show how well he knows his stuff. I especially like how he reminds me that my Tai Chi is good for where Im at in my journey. I highly recommend Ron to anyone who is looking to learn Tai Chi Chuan.
I started with Ron Pfeiffer about 6 years ago at U.W Parkside, and have stayed with him all this time. I had practiced Shorei Kempo Karate, for over 35 years, but broke my shoulder. Thought this would be easier. It is both challenging and great for the entire body. Ron is extremely patient, especially with beginners, and I have friends who also enjoy it. Ron is never satisfied with just OK. He works hard to serve as a role model for all of his many, many students.
Ive been taking Tai Chi lessons from Coach Ron about 7 years. He will always spend extra time with a student if they need extra help learning a form. Ron is quick to encourage and motivate his students. He is an exceptional coach.
Awesome instructor for students of all levels. I have been practicing Tai Chi with Ron Pfeiffer for near 6 years. His guidance has made a profound impact on my life. After having two back surgeries and retiring my range of motion was minimal. Practicing Tai Chi has vastly improved my range of motion, flexibility, balance and I find it is a great stress reliever. Ron has such a depth of knowledge from constantly seeking to improve himself by training each year. This seeking training in China with a Chen Village school, the oldest organized form of Tai Chi. If you are seeking to improve or learn Tai Chi I highly recommend practicing with Ron in one of his classes in Kenosha, Burlington, or online. The health benefits are far reaching and can be explored in Harvard Medical Schools Guide To Tai Chi. Check it out anytime ---walk-ins are welcome.
Ron and the other teachers teach in a no judgment zone and patiently work with you to achieve the goals you agree to. Im finding improved balance in my walking which, I trust, will prevent injuries in later life. This is a fantastic school.
I is a great school with very patient and knowledgeable instructors. I have been with them for over four years and enjoy the environment. Ron is a great senior instructor.
I have studied Tai Chi Chuan on and off for about six years with five different instructors. Master Instructor Ron Pfeiffer is now the sixth teacher I have worked with and is probably the most experienced of all those I studied under.Rons teaching style is very student oriented. He challenges and encourages you to learn as much as you can absorb in each class but also emphasizes knowing and NOT exceeding your physical skill level or limitations. He is very patient and always ready to answer questions. He will take the time to deomnstrate and further explain things that you are not sure about during class or afterward. In addition to his thorough teaching style, I deeply appreciate that he presents both the amazing health benefits that Tai Chi produces but also balances it with an understanding of its martial arts foundation. This tends to be a rarity in the majority of classes that have emerged over the past twenty plus years that totally focus on Tai Chi as a gentle health exercise. These easy dance-like approaches both emasculate the art and actually fail to produce the higher levels of health benefits that a more traditional and balanced training style offers. The schools primary class focuses on teaching the Yang Style 24 Forms short form exercise. However, it also offers opportunities to learn a variety of other forms/exercises from other Tai Chi styles such as Chen and Sun. The Tai Chi sword forms are also available to learn as well.In addition to these traditional forms, there are also specialized training opportunities in modified exercise sets using Tai Chi movements to address specific health issues. These forms (developed by world renown instructor Dr. Paul Lam, a medical doctor and long time Tai Chi practitioner) include special sets for improving overall health for those who suffer from arthritis, memory challenges, and osteoporosis.I have studied various martial arts on and off since 1970. If you are looking for a school and instructor that offers excellent training, encouragement, and improved health, I strongly recommend taking a look at International Tai Chi Alliance in Burlington.
I have been a student of Tai Chi for 8 years and Ron Pfeiffer has been my instructor for that entire period of time. Ron is committed, insightful and continues to strive to achieve health, wellness and quality instruction for his students. It is a great group of committed and delightful people!Barbara Goodnough

I have been going to Midwest for almost 3 years now. Rons depth of knowledge, humility, and ability to make Tai-Chi achievable and fun for the beginner, novice, or advanced student is both what drew me to this school and keeps me coming back.
