Just In Time seems to be very different than others in a good way. My sons mental health journey has been ongoing for years and I can honestly say that we have gone through all circles of hell of our mental health system. More often than not they just are very indifferent and simply don’t care. They just try to get the kid through the program ask quick as possible and refuse to acknowledge or work with the issues at hand. It seems to be a pattern. Let’s get him out and make it look like we were successful so that everything looks great on paper and whether the child actually got better or not seems to not be a concern at all. It is very refreshing to find placement where they actually care and try. The owner miss Lisa is a very clear thinking individual who actually sees and acknowledges the problem at hand. She really made an effort to understand my son and make a plan tailored to his needs. My son is a very unusual case and everybody gave up on him but she didn’t. I can see that she is trying her very best given the situation. She is not only thinking in terms of just right now but is also thinking ahead. I don’t know what the outcome will be of all this because like I said my son is unique and none of us have magical powers, but I do know that he will not decline there like he has in other placements, and that they are actually going to be actively working on it. My sons team is easy to talk to, always answers my questions. Every other facility that my son has ever been to made me feel like we were doomed. I haven’t felt that even once with Just In Time.
Lewis Pinnix is a toxic person for the well-being of the children. He has restrained kids for no reason leaving brusies on one of the children and also shows favoritism among the children. He puts the kids on restriction for the smallest things and when the children ask when they can get their stuff back he ignores them. I would not recommend sending your children to this group home.
