I recently lost my brother and I live In Florida. After calling several places and not feeling what I needed from anyone, I called my daughter and asked her if she could please call Omega for me as I just couldnt talk to anymore, what felt to me as uncaring people.So she did and she spoke to Neil who she said was so nice and caring and actually talked to her as well as expressed his sympathy. When I called and spoke to him she was right he and April were both just awesome.Just when I didnt think they could be any more helpful and caring than they were, I had to drive 12 hours to get my brother, got there Thursday morning when I had told them it would be Friday morning and he was not ready....I was devastated as I just wanted to take him home. So being the obviously loving caring people they are, April said can you give me a few hours, and I will get your brother ready for you to take home. They went so above and beyond for me, a complete stranger to make it possible for me to leave with my brother. I am so very thankful to have found them as they were so on it all and it made me feel at ease for the first time since this happened. If you lose a loved one and you want them treated as if they were their family as well, this is the place to go...I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did for me and my brother.

I would recommend Omega all day every day! I called them up completely devastated and lost. I could barely think and had no idea what to do. I was greeted with such friendliness and compassion. I was led through what to do, given reminders when I couldnt think. They kept in constant touch and guided me through the worst time of my life from beginning to end. They seemed to actually care! I can not say enough about the staff of Omega. Neil, April and the entire staff treated us like family when my wife passed. When my wifes sister passed away we spent considerable time trying to find a funeral service provider that we felt could meet the needs of our family and work with us to plan the arrangements. We live in Arizona and were unable to travel the 2100 miles to North Carolina to handle the funeral arrangements in person.We were fortunate to have found Neil and April Breed. The price of the services we selected could not be met by anyone else that we had considered. Neil Breed provided honest straight forward information. He returned all calls in a timely manner. It was more than refreshing to speak with someone in the funeral industry that is honest and straight forward.Neil handled all of the difficult paperwork associated with the burial which was in a United States National Cemetery. There was no an additional charge for completing the formal application, gaining approval and for scheduling with the cemetery.The presentation of the body for viewing prior to burial exceeded family expectations. Funeral Service Providers are not created equal. The appearance of a loved one who is to be buried varies with the skill and dedication of the individual preparing the remains. It was obvious to us in the pictures sent to us by family that Neil cares about what he does and how he does it. I called Neil last August when my father died. He and April guided my brother and I through a lot of difficult decisions in a very kind, compassionate manner. He advised us that my father was eligible for burial at Arlington National Cemetery, which is something we would never have considered without Neils help. He handled all of the paperwork and we buried my mother and father at Arlington this past May. The ceremony is a cherished memory for our entire family and would not have been possible without Neils help. We are forever grateful for his help and support.

I am so upset that my sister Crystal Smith caused so much unneeded drama with Omegas staff talking about You get what you pay for. She did not pay a dime on any of the arrangements for our dad. My wife and I moved to Durham in August of 2018. She needed a heart/lung transplant and Duke was willing to take her case. We were extremely busy with pulmonary rehab and appointments from the moment we arrived in the area. As her primary caregiver, my life was go go go. She passed on 1/30/19 and suddenly my life was at full stop. I didnt know what cremation service to use and was unfamiliar with the area. After a Google search, I called Omega and April put me in touch with Neil. He was very caring and professional as he walked me through the steps of cremation. There was never an up sell attempt, which was relieving. Going through the passing of a loved one, as a spouse I wanted to give my wife exactly what she wanted. Neil was immediately on the same page and up front with pricing. The service request, payment process, and administrative needs were all handled with as much care, respect, and dignity as anyone could ask. April called to let me know when my wifes ashes were ready. I headed to Omega to pick her up. I was a little apprehensive as I didnt know how I was going to handle it emotionally. Neil greeted me, took me to a private room and delivered my wifes ashes. He immediately made me feel welcomed and asked my wifes story. He and I sat and talked for about two hours. The whole process could not have gone any better under the circumstances. Because Neil and I learned that we have a few heartfelt interests in common, we will stay in touch for years to come. On what I thought was going to be the second worst day of my life, Neil made the best of it and I made a friend that day. Exactly what my wife wouldve wanted.

Neil and April were so sincere when helping us deal with a difficult time when my brother passed. They were very sensitive to our special needs, simple as they were. Had to travel to North Carolina for the death of my best friends mother. This is never an easy task. I am a nurse and specialize in death and dying. When I called and spoke with Neil he was kind and caring. He said all the right things anyone in mourning needed to hear. I really felt he was compassionate and cared about Pat who had passed away. He gave very detailed information and even supplied me with information that he said would help us through the process even if we did not use his services. Rude. Closes before 4:00pm that is listed as their hours of operation. Staff answering phones are very rude could hear them bad mouthing me for five minutes straight because I wanted to know why I was told to be at their facility before 4:00 pm to pick up my fathers ashes only to be surprised that they were closed when I arrived at 3:55 pm and have the phone records to prove what time I arrived because I immediately called omega as to why they were closed before 4:00pm. I was told a lie that they were on a service call so I explained why I was upset that I was told to be there at a certain time only to find them closed before that time. I had to leave work early and drive 20 minutes to the facility so this was extremely inconvenient to me. I could hear the two women in the background saying I dont know what she wants us to do she had all day to get there to pick up her fathers ashes but she waits until the last minute to do so. First off the person I spoke to this morning was informed I was working but I would be there before 4:00pm which I was. So NO I did not wait all day to do this I had to work all day and had already informed the staff of my situation and when I would be there . I asked what are their hours tomorrow so I will make sure Im a hour earlier than when they close so as to not waste my time and lose pay for leaving work early again but she wouldnt tell me the hours just said she didnt have to listen to me and hung up. I will make sure that it is listed in my will that Omega or anyone affiliated with this company in anyway that may start their own funeral business never touches my body or receives a penny of my money when I pass and I definitely do not want my only child to go through the nightmare of this unprofessional non sympathetic company. Once they have your money they do not care or follow through with their promises etc. You get what you pay for. If you are unhappy with the industry or job you have and have to be rude and non sympathetic to people during their time of grief you need to find a new job or field to work in.

Neil and April with Omega were a blessing to our family with the passing of my Step Father. Very professional, affordable, and they care about their clients.

My dad past away in November 2015 and had left strict instructions about what was to be done with his remains. He wanted a very simple cremation. It was difficult to watch my father pass and even more difficult to try to honor his wishes with a simple cremation. Neil and April made this a much easier journey. They were there every step of the way and made recommendations that we would never have thought of. Their prices were absolutely the best in all of the triangle area and they were truly kind, compassionate and very professional. I made a few blunders trying to get the obituary published but Neil made sure it was done correctly. Amazing service from pre-planning all the way to the end. My father passed away on the 14th and we were refereed to Neil by Hospice. Not only did they have the best prices in town, they have in my opinion the best service as well. Neil assisted my mother in the weeks before my father passed to ensure that when it was time for my father to go home, she would have nothing to worry about. I got the pleasure of meeting Neil the day after my father passed. He greeted us with open arms and made sure that he was immediately available to assist with the next steps. We were able to set down and fill out the necessary paperwork with no pressure, no did we feel like we were being rushed. Neil also provided us with great detail on how the next steps would go and what to expect next. With out having to be ask, he had even filed some needed papers for my mother so that she would have time to grieve over the loss of her husband and not have to bother with what do I have to do next. All in all I this that Omega funeral service is a great company, all the way from the driver that came to collect my father down to the owners. I would recommend that anyone either pre planning or planning a funeral in this area give Neil a call before you call any of the other larger funeral homes in the county.
