First Call did a great job with our crawlspace encapsulation. The workers stayed on schedule and were good to deal with. They suggested things during the sales process that I could do myself to keep the cost down, which was very helpful. Cost ended up being about half of the quote from one of the big basement companies that does a lot of advertising.

I had First Call clean all the HVAC ducts at a house that we just bought. When we moved in, we could see into the HVAC return and it was covered in thick build-up of grime and particles. I couldnt stand the thought of sharing my air with all this yuckiness so called First Call. This job took two days and I (who never take the time to write reviews) was amazed at the job they did. The First Call guys worked extremely hard, getting deep into every duct, despite having to spend nearly a full day in a very tiny hot and humid crawl space. I was home during this service and I could hear the compressors and vacuums getting every duct and certainly the after pictures showed the fantastic results. The staff was professional, hard-working, considerate and competent. I would absolutely call them again if any need arises. So impressed and grateful.

In August of this year my home was struck by lightning and caught fire under the house. I couldn’t speak more highly of First Call. What first seemed like an insurmountable project quickly became controlled and routine once it was in their hands. Our project manager Ben was very understanding and kept himself available the whole way through, and the whole crew committed to the job as diligently and carefully as if it were their own homes. The original owner of our house had a poor quality plastic vapor barrier covering the ground in the crawl space. We noticed numerous signs of rodent and snake infestation as well as some water damage from a leaky gutter above.A home inspector recommended First Call Cleaning and Restoration for remediation of the water damage and when Chris Lewis from First Call came to give an estimate we asked about encapsulating the crawl space, as well.Chris gave us a thorough, detailed estimate of the proposed work and assured us that the renovated space would be completely enclosed and sealed off to outside critters and pests.Foreman Ben Pacella and the work crew were on time each day and worked non-stop until the job was complete.You wouldnt believe the difference in the space!It went from a dark, dank wildlife haven to an immaculate, shiny, atmospherically-controlled room!(My grand kids saw it and asked if they could play in there : )I heartily recommend First Call.For a company that advertises themselves as a cleaning and restoration service they sure do a hell of an encapsulation!

My moms basement had a hot water pipe bust and we were at a loss as what to do. Mold everywhere. A friend who works at Logan Heating and Air recommended Josh to me. He has been such a blessing through this ordeal. He drove 2 hours to meet us and look at moms place. He is very thorough and made sure everything was perfect. We really trust Josh and his advice. He went above and beyond what he had to do, and we appreciate it so much. The crew who came and worded in the basement were awesome as well. Felipe came and cleaned the ducts and was so helpful. He took before and after pictures of the mold in the furnace and the vents. He went out of his way to show mom all that was going on, Just as Josh did. I am so happy and thankful we went with this company.

We had First Call clean our home’s ductwork in January 2020. Our experience with the man who came and did the estimate (Chris) was great. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and did not pressure us at all, and it was nice that he gave us the estimate on the spot instead of sending it later. Then the two techs who did the work (Felipe & Cristobal) were EXCELLENT. They were efficient but also thorough, explained what they were doing and answered all our questions (no problems at all with speaking and understanding English), cleaned up well after the job, and even made us laugh a lot with the way they joked with each other. They were also very kind, and clearly cared about doing great work. And the free dryer vent cleaning that came with the job was a nice bonus. We would definitely use First Call again for any of the services they offer!

First Call Burlington NC is a conscientious and excellent company. We cannot say enough good about our experience with First Call Burlington, NC. Unfortunately, we suffered a large and damaging water event late one weekday afternoon. First Call was at our doorstep within 45 minutes of our call to them. After accessing the damage and explaining what would happed next, crews immediately were called out and the mitigation work began. During the mitigation all debris was removed immediately and our home was protected and kept clean by the crews. The mitigation project manager was excellent. He was onsite for all phases of the work and he emailed us with every update. We are grateful and comforted to know that this work was conducted professionally and with no surprises or unexpected delays.

Excellent professional work completed. I am very happy knowing that my air ducts are CLEAN. I also had them clean my clothes dryer vent and so glad that I did. First the discovery that a previous workman in the house had moved the dryer and in doing this the dryer was disconnected to the vent. Fire hazard!!! First Call repaired this and cleaned the vent which was full.I trust the and highly recommend them.

I wish I had taken First Call’s bad reviews here and on their BBB profile more seriously. I hired them when a tree fell on my house during a storm. They said theyd get me a written estimate within a day but they never did. When the work was done a few days later, I got two separate bills adding up to nearly 7k including charges for certain work that I didnt authorize, like removal of personal property that they still haven’t returned to me.My insurance company said the charges were excessive and paid around 5k. First Call removed some of the charges, but are still pursuing the ~$500 difference from me. I’ve had to seek professional help with my claim due to all the headaches so hopefully it will get resolved soon enough. Overall, dealing with First Call has made an incredibly stressful time so much worse. Beware that First Call suffers from an unethical lack of transparency that might also be dishonest, exorbitant after-the-fact pricing, and opaque upcharges for every conceivable cost.

During a horrible time in our lives we put our trust and hope into first call. they beyond let us down! we were given a new project manager- who has since been fired. our home was estimated to take a month, we were in hotel for over 3 months. numerous times we tried to reach out to the owner to Express concerns and he was always unavailable. we went to the office to make payment; from our insurance as all this was covered and paid in full. the lady we spoke with acted as it was nothing wrong and even stated you all need to let the stuff with the project manager go. when we moved back in as we had hit our hotel expense limit things were still not done. I have emails were it appears the project manager is intoxicated or on something. mind you after 11pm. on top of this we had a child that was burned so badly he had to have surgery and graphs done. I would never recommend this company to anyone.the only good thing I have to say is the contracted royal clean owned by vickie to do our moving and cleaning. she and her crew was amazing and worked harder than anyone else involved in this experience.I would not even give 1 star if that was possible.

We take care of a lot of commercial buildings and Josh and his team are top notch. The have the equipment to get the job done and work around our customers schedules. We dont use any other company.

We had water damage from a hole in our roof and Josh was quick to come out and explain what we were dealing with. He was very thorough in examining the area with water damage. First Call encapsulated a homes crawlspace that I purchased in June 2018. I found their team, from the the owner, site manager and crew, to all be excellent. I would highly recommend First Call and am confident that my homes value increased more than the cost of the installation of this project. I felt confident that my questions were answered honestly and in a manner that I understood. I was able to make selections for some of the different options concerning this project and know that without a doubt that First Call had my satisfaction as a priority. I am writing this review 3 months after the project was completed, so I am writing this review after monitoring the space for 3 months. I am still very pleased and happy with their work and the projects success.

Must Read!!... First call restoration company was recommended by our insurance company to help with our water damage in and outside of our home caused by the hurricanes in October 2018.I will have to say that my husband and I were very dissatisfied with this company. Our overall experience with this process being drug out almost six months, the half done work that we had to finish ourselves, the contractors that were scheduled to come out that didn’t show up, the miscommunication and disorganization was ridiculous and very unprofessional. We even contacted the owner so he could be involved and he still didn’t seem to care to make it right. We were very professional and more than patient with this company, but nothing went smoothly and I had to stay on top of everyone to ensure that the work would get done. If it weren’t for my husband and I being aggressive and doing a lot of the leg work to get the people out to our home to do the work, half of this process wouldn’t even be complete. Our project wasn’t even a big job and our home still isn’t complete. We have decided to have someone else finish the work for us. When we had the other company come out to evaluate the rest of the work that needed to be done they said that the roofers that First Call hired to replace our roof used silicone to caulk everything and also used it for the flashing instead of using polyurethane. Silicone only has a 1 year warranty in the sun which means in a few years we would be right where we started with another water issue. We will not use or recommend First Call Restoration Service for any business in the future. I am very disappointed to post this review online considering it is my first review that I’ve ever written, but I want this company and everyone else to understand how we felt taken advantage of and know all the headache that we went through.

I have desperately needed First Call forwater damage and mold more than once. They came immediately each time and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again, although hope I never have to.

First, I made the mistake of trying other companies to get estimates. Then I called First Call which turned out to be the best & I highly recommend them to everyone. Armando Alves came out first and did the estimate on repairs.Then the job was assigned to Ben Pacella. These two were so professional and awesome. Josh and his team served us for years in our encapsulation business. They would help with mold cleaning and air quality issues that we stumble across. Josh is an amazing business owner and cares about quality.

Wish I had called them sooner. Their exceptionally thorough duct cleaning has made a huge difference in how my A/C system is working during these hot days. Although their service is not cheap Im confident my lower electric bills will pay for it in less than a year. Ill be using them again.

We have had a great experience, especially with Project Manager Josh Waldron! About a week before Christmas an upstairs toilet overflowed overnight, leaking into the hallway/bedrooms and through to the downstairs. It was terrible timing. First Call was recommended to us on the Mebane community page. Josh walked us through the whole process, start to finish, and was better at answering my questions than the insurance company. We are very happy with their work, professionalism, expertise, and customer service. We are using them for repairs as well as mitigation because of this experience, and I anticipate that process will be just as smooth.

First Call began work on my parents home, due to a water leak in two bathrooms, around the third week of January 2018 and, as of April 17, 2018 they had not even finished one bathroom. There were numerous days in which we were told that a contractor would be there to do work, but no one came. Most times, we would not even receive a call. Also, even the work that was attempted and/or done was extremely sub-par (uneven tile work and grout, shower door opening not square resulting in inability to install shower door, other). First Call was recommended by Nationwide Insurance Company as an On Your Side Vendor. Would not recommend First Call.

Josh, Chris, and the guys do a great job. Ive worked alongside First Call for several years now and they know how to get the job done right. I highly recommend these guys.

I am so thankful for Josh W. and his team! They came in, dried out and cleaned up water damage from a hot water heater disaster. They were prompt, responsive, thorough and precise! They put me at ease during a stressful time. I will definitely recommend you all!

At first they were great, but when a bigger problem (waterproofing outside needed) they just pulled out of the job and started sending us the bill. The tests kept coming back positive for elevated mold. We just recently found mold in the interior walls, that they did not choose to remediate around our HVAC- after years of thinking they got it all clean back in 2017. Our health has been struggling and we have had many rounds of the HVAC itself cleaned by other companies, but wish they had checked the internal walls for mold and water damage too. This was so preventable but sadly was overlooked.

They met with me very shortly after I contacted them and we went over everything that needed to be done. We had a very unique situation that had a lot of challenges, the home was in bad shape when we bought it and needed a complete remodel it was also infested with dead mice and roaches. After our exterminator came through and took care of all the problems first call came in and cleaned and sanitized every bit of wood in this structure. That way I could start the remodel with a brand new clean fresh-smelling slate. The two gentlemen that worked here for two days worked hard and were very polite and respectful, they did a fantastic job. I could not have done in two weeks what they managed in two days. Without a doubt I would call them for any cleaning job no matter how big or small and I would be secure in knowing that they would take care of whatever the situation was.

Came in fast and repaired water damage that was caused by broken pipe. Outstanding job.
