Im enjoying working out again for the first time in a long time. After many years of lying to myself that I can do it without help, I decided to try something different. The structured classes that Halo offers throughout the day are exactly what I need, and at a very reasonable price. Im feeling better after a few short weeks, and Im looking forward to continued progress.
Best gym in the area -- clean, great selection/offering of machines and amazing staffers. Wouldnt ever think of going anywhere else. How they performed during this past year/handled the pandemic, with all the cleaning/attention to detail, shows how much better they are than their competitors.
Halo Fitness has changed my life in ways I never thought would be possible. I’ve been with Halo for about 8 months now and dropped 25 lbs within the first 3! Not only is their guaranteed results, the environment is so encouraging and positive, it’s truly become a safe place for me! Amazing coaches, large facility, safe environment during covid and great variety of equipment/classes for all your goals! Thank you halo for making my time at the gym something I look forward to each day!
The facility is super nice and so is the staff and community. Highly recommend it for folks who are starting off their fitness journey and even experienced folks who are looking for a great fitness community.
Ive been going to this gym for the past 6 weeks, and its been a great experience! This is an instructor-led class where you use a pulley machine, barbells, dumbbells, cardio equipment, and more all in your own dedicated area. The instructor will set the timer intervals and explain each exercise for the day. The workout routines is different everyday and created by the instructors. The instructor walks around each persons area to make sure theyre doing the exercises correctly. If you have an injury or simply cant do an exercise the proper way, they will offer you an alternative exercise. If youre feeling Herculean, they also have instructor-led Cross Fit classes. I havent tried the Cross Fit one yet because i dont want to die just yet, but you can do either styles of workouts under the same plan! Its definitely worth trying it out, especially now that theyre offering deals. Good luck on your health endeavors! 🍀💪
I came to halo about a year and half ago. I had lacked instruction and was losing motivation in the gym and figured I would give it a try. That turned out to be the best decision for my physical and mental health. The community there is awesome. Everybody is always super hyped. The coaches are very involved. Everybody there wants what’s best for the next person.I’ve recently been doing some physical therapy with one of the therapists there. I went in not being able to move my arm over my head. With one session, Cody was able to pin point the tightness and loosen up the muscles in my back so that I could move my arm freely. I was in shock. With some homework he gave me and my own willingness to get my mobility back, I have made some large steps. The staff and coaches here care. They know that not everybody is on the same level. This is why the coaches (Jason) will adjust the Workouts to fit each person. They arnt there to push you past your limitations, but rather help you see your limitation, and build you up to conquer it.Love this place!!! Love the Halo Family!!!
Halo truly is an incredible place and experience. Everyone knows me by name and cares about helping me get fit and get stronger. The space is extremely clean and well ventilated so I feel safe going there. I love the workouts (which are never the same) and I feel my body gradually transforming and getting stronger. I cannot sing enough praises about Halo and those who run it. I highly recommend Halo!
Where else can you can an experienced, knowledgeable and high quality trainer that is INCLUDED in your gym membership? These guys have years of experience!I have been a member for over a year. I enrolled because I was tired of attending gyms that had trainers that received a weekend certificate. As a result, I have a back injury. However, since attending Halo, I have not had any issues. All ages come here and I have seen a member that has cerebral palsy do CrossFit!I love this place and I highly recommend others to join. You won’t regret it!
Cannot say enough positive things about Halo Fitness. It is a wonderful community with incredible staff. The facility is beautiful and the classes challenging but doable. They have gone above and beyond taking precautions to keep members safe during the pandemic. Could not recommend more highly.
I love this gym so much. Since I started coming I have become so much stronger. The staff are so helpful and encouraging. No matter what your fitness level is your will benefit from going to this gym,
I have been a member of Halo Fitness Experience since they opened in January 2019.. I’ve joined many gyms in the past, but rarely lasted more than six months. Halo gives you a lot of options for your money and the coaching staff is top notch. At Halo, you come as close as possible to personal training without the high cost. The environment they have created would be a good fit for anyone whether they are brand new to fitness or have been in it for the long-term.
I’ve been a member since the beginning. This gym is different and while you will get more attention and instruction than most any gym, you still only get what you put into the workouts. With that said, the instruction/instructors are great and each class can be tailored to your strength, injury, and even your mobility issue...just ask. If you are only looking for free weights/machines...I would look elsewhere, but if you have a hard time working out by yourself, a hard time staying motivated, and little idea of where to start and end a workout: come to Halo! There are some comments on here that speak about the lack of class space. Before COVID, the gym operated with no scheduling assistant and I had times when I arrived and was left out of a class; however, I’m easy and would opt for a self directed workout. Now class space is limited and you need to use an App to sign up, ensuring your place in a class. I hope they stick with this after COVID as it only makes sense. There are plenty of self directed workouts, equipment, and free weights to use if classes are full.Worth mentioning, this gym cared enough for their members to loan out ALL their equipment, without any additional cost, when COVID shut them down. We stuck with them through this and never even considered quitting this gym because of the customer service, the Halo Experience, and because this gym and its members are part of our family now.
Halo is great! I love that they have so many membership options, and it is very obvious that the instructors care about you and want you to succeed.
I can say after walking in their doors, my life changed radically and in all area not just physically. I was welcomed with open arms by the community and the the staff. They are really into something big here. Highly recommend coming.
Great place, classes, and people! Super friendly and supportive!
When I decided to join Halo, I expected it to be just like any other gym, but right after my first week I realized that theyre much more than that. All the trainers were awesome and made me feel like I was there forever. I truly appreciate all the support I found while I was working out at their location and also the huge support theyre giving us during this difficult time. Thanks for all the videos you guys post everyday. Theyre a great motivation!!
Joining Halo was the best decision I’ve made for my fitness and well-being in a long time! This is not your typical gym, it’s so much better. The routines are always changing and it’s great to always have every exercise demonstrated on the screen. The trainers are terrific - helpful, knowledgeable and friendly without being overbearing or intimidating. Best of all, I feel better and stronger than when I started in October. Don’t hesitate to try out Halo!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Halo!1) I went from 28% to 17% body fat and lost 7 lbs in about 4 months. Have been trying for years at another gym and hadn’t lost anything.2) The trainers and staff are wonderful people who truly care.3) The workouts are always fun and super hard but only 45 min (for the Crossfit).4) Super convenient because you can go in anytime and get a guided workout.5) The community is AMAZING, supportive and super friendly!I’m sure I could think of so many more but you should just try it for yourself- free trial!
Ive been there 3 times. I really like the atmosphere. People seem to be having fun working out. And I love their videos - they show you what exercises to do and then have timers so you rotate through the workout. Also, they show you how to exercise different parts of your body. I like this much better than a typical gym. And there is a trainer who helps you with the machines if you dont know how to use them. I found this Halo to be less boring than any other gyms.
Hands down, best gym I have ever joined! Most health clubs set you loose, never explaining how to properly use equipment to receive maximum results and avoid injuries. At Halo coaches are always there monitoring workouts, offering encouragement and showing you the proper way. They want to see you succeed at meeting your personal goals. A bonus - the owners are wonderful people and very community minded which makes the heart feel good in a different way - healthy and happy.
During these times, I felt it was time to give praise where praise was due. This gym came out of nowhere and became a staple in the community. When I first inquired about a membership, Dan talked to me on the phone for a good 45 minutes to an hour discussing how Halo was different from other gyms yet gave an all encompassing workout. It took some time for me to pull the trigger, but I finally did. What I love is the sense of community. The trainers know your name when you walk in and immediately jump in to ask how you are doing and to help with the workout. On top of that, I began seeing their in house physical therapist, Carrie. I had back surgery back in June and have been dealing with back pain for almost 20 years. She has been amazing in such the short time I have seen her. I hope to continue to work with her in the future. She has been the first physical therapist to really take the time to really find the issues and work with me and my body.
Cannot say enough about Halo Fitness.Their trainers, programming, facilities, and equipment are second to none. I wanted to join a Cross Fit gym for years but the cost always prevented me from doing that until Halo. There are all different fitness levels here, and I started near the bottom myself. But the environment at Halo is very supportive and encouraging. I was new to CrossFit, but kept showing up, and have benefited. Thank you HALO FITNESS!
Halo is an incredible facility. Workouts, coaching, pricing, community, cleanliness, equipment, inclusivity are all top notch. I LOVE Halo Fitness Experience and my Halo family. Highly recommend.
I started at Halo a year and half ago, and I have loved every minute of it. What initially drew me to Halo was the Crossfit classes, but what makes Halo so unique is that in addition to Crossfit, they offer Peak classes, a strength and cardio workout. Although they are different styles of workouts, I really enjoy being able to dabble in both, knowing that I am getting a great workout no matter which option I choose. This year, I have been really impressed with the way Halo has adapted to all the challenges of the pandemic. Setting up individual workout spots with all the equipment needed for a workout, providing cleaning solution to everyone to ensure equipment is disinfected between uses, and building extra lifting platforms for Barbell club to encourage social distancing has been just some of the ways Halo has modified the gym to ensure we all stay safe. Another very unique aspect to Halo is that they have an in-house physical therapist, who has really helped me with a spine condition Ive had ever since my teen years. Before Halo, I never addressed the chronic pain I was in, but having a PT so accessible made all the difference. But really, Halo wouldnt be what it is without the great group of guys that own and operate it. These guys do all their own programming, coach all day long, and have to do all the behind the scenes stuff of running a gym and they are still are so much fun to be around. It goes without saying that I would highly recommend Halo!
Halo has been such a great experience! I was a member at another gym, but was having trouble getting to scheduled class times. I didnt want to go to a big box gym with a bunch of intimidating machines. So when a friend mentioned Halo I figured one visit would be ok to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised! Yes there are machines, but there are coaches to walk you through the workout. I can come in whenever it fits MY schedule and get a workout in. (Or I can join a scheduled class!) When COVID hit, the owners graciously loaned out equipment to any member who wanted it and posted workouts online that we could do at home. And as they have slowly reopened its been perfect! Workouts started outside, in classes, then moved inside in small group classes. The gym is cleaned constantly. There is sanitizer and cleaner at each station and everyone is reminded to wear masks in common areas and clean after themselves. They have options for all fitness levels and Ive never felt intimidated or unable to do something. Do yourself a favor and visit and give yourself the gift of health!
The workouts themselves are great. The customer service, however is terrible. Read the fine print and ask questions upon signing up. It says 30 day notice but really it is 90 day notice to cancel. They will tell you it is a 3 month program although you are paying monthly. I was simply inquiring about it and was treated very rudely. He refused to listen or answer my questions and instead I left in tears. I was shocked since the trainers I had encountered before had been so nice. Also, make sure to note they close for multiple weeks a year, close early on Saturdays and for the whole day on Sundays.
You won’t find a better gym, better equipment, better staff, better community or a better price anywhere in this area. What are you waiting for? Join Nova’s best gym!
Love this place. I go there for the crossfit but they have other workout programs if you arent into the crossfit. Pricing is great, they have a ton of equipment and ample space. What more can you ask for in a gym???
I LOVE THIS GYM! I am so thankful I found it… It is not the same old boring stuff... If you are looking for a great workout, in a fun atmosphere, then this should be your new Gym... It is also super affordable but you still get an amazing workout experience out of it... What I love is that I dont have to figure out how and what I need to do to workout, there is video showing me everything I need to know. To top that off they have knowledgeable trainers who will help you along the way... It is truly the best gym in the area… I love Halo and you will too!
If only more than 5 stars were available.. Want to change your life for the better with people who care about you? Then come experience Halo! The owners dont know you as an income stream but as a name, think about that for a minute. The culture at Halo is one of support, encouragement, and motivation. Members are there to workout and dont care if the person next to them can lift or do more. Halo Fitness Experience and Crossfit 703 is a WYSIWYG gym!!!
Halo is an amazing gym with an amazing staff that is dedicated to making each and every member better than they were before. In addition to Crossfit, they offer trainer led strength and cardio circuits that are outstanding! I highly recommend Halo Fitness Experience!
I love this gym. The Workouts are challenging and the trainers are that awesome mix of tough and encouraging (looking at you Tyler). Can’t wait to get back there.
The gym itself and video instruction at each of the stations for their PEAK and WAVE activities are okay. It provides guidance for your workouts, so you don’t have to think about your workout at great length. And the trainer on duty will occasionally stop by and give you tips on your form and how to get the most from your workout. I did not have the opportunity to try out the CrossFit classes but I hear good things. There are no locker or shower faciliI agree with one of the other reviews and it is unfortunate to say but customer service made the experience unpleasant. At times, interactions were rude and outright disrespectful. The overall experience can improve if this was fixed. I will not continue my membership but hope this improves for the sake of its existing members and new potential members to come.
I am a division 1 scholarship athlete and finding somewhere to workout at home during breaks from school is so tough! Finally I found somewhere I am pushed to peak performance and can actually maintain the strength and endurance I worked so hard on during the school year! The trainers that help you with the workouts at Halo are wonderful and the overall feeling in the gym makes you want to work harder. Lots of versatility in workouts and just an overall fun place, in my opinion! Definitely will be recommending everyone I know!!
HALO staff is top notch down to earth and passionate about fitness. They are generous with their time and resources and continue to help clients with their goals during this pandemic. JOIN HALO IN BURKE!
This is my happy place! The coaches are amazing and supportive. The workouts will change your body and your mind! Highly recommend checking it out whether you are interested in CrossFit or strength training with cardio. There are many options available.
Fantastic coaching! SUPER clean and great attention given to maintaining a safe environment!
Very cool gym - Ive been a member since they opened. Hadnt really planned on joining a gym at the time, but after a tester workout, it felt like something I needed to do at least for a while. Apparently, I had been neglecting abs, legs, shoulders, & cardio (basically everything) working out at home. There is enough variety that I am still there.I decided to give CrossFit with Jason a go shortly after I joined. For those who arent familiar, it is the sort of workout Id imagine youd wish you had been doing if you found yourself being chased by a bear, or zombies or whatever. Hurdling fences, pulling yourself up over a tree brach, throwing heavy things around. I was really enjoying learning the olympic lifting, but I started to find my wrist getting a little beat up, so Im mixing things up for a while.Lately Ive been enjoying working out with Tyler over in peak strength. It is still a great workout, but a little more chill. More bodybuilding-ish, which I like. If you are new to working out, Id suggest starting there. Though yesterday Maz was teaching the class and it was no joke, so you never know exactly what you are going to get (in a good way -> variety). I think Im going to pop over today for a self directed arm workout, just taking it easy on a Friday.Overall, great local gym. Good if you are looking for some coaching, but cant afford a personal trainer, or just prefer a social atmosphere. These guys also support a lot of good causes, so its a great community to support and be a part of.
Halo is the gym where they want members to actually show up and succeed! The guys running the place are so totally invested in your success. They have Crossfit for the Crossfit addicts, but then they also have their additional (Peak) strength programing and (Wave) cardio programing. All you have to do is show up, and pick a side. From there you follow the timer and do exactly what the TV says to do with the equipment at that station. When the timer is up, move to the next station, its that simple! In addition to your membership, we get free body fat checks at regular intervals so you can see how the programs are working at a cellular level! Its the perfect place to go if you havent been to the gym in a decade - today is your day, Halo will make you feel like a pro. Welcome to the family!
I was skeptical about joining another gym, in the past I have joined gyms just for the group classes like Zumba because I never knew hot use the machines or didnt know how to do a good workout. Halo is not like any other gym, they have trainers going around during the workouts to check on your form, they know you by name and greet you always with a smile. I like Halo because instead of you just going to a machine and try to figure out how to use it there are multiple screens per each circuit that show you exactly what to do (and how long to do it for) and if you have any question the trainers will explain it too. After having 2 kids it was really hard for me to start exercising but once I started at Halo I dont drag myself anymore, I actually enjoy going.
AMAZING!×the staff is incredibly knowledgeable×gym is always clean×coaches push you to your best×totally dont get the Im at the gym, now what feeling. its all so spelled out for you and if you dont understand, come to the coaching times and the coaches are amazing at helping you.I cant say enough good things about this place.thank you guys. after having 3 kids, I didnt think I would ever have the time, motivation or ability to change my body back to what it was... thank you for proving me wrong. Im getting compliments and Im feeling good again.love you guys. you have changed me for the better. thank you! 💜
We Love Halo! Lots of support from trainers, variety in every circuit, family friendly (kids can work out with you). I actually want to go to the gym! Can’t ask for a better experience!!
Great gym. Very big, clean, nice equipment and lots of it, great amenities as well. Even when busy rarely have to wait Can get in and out no problem
Not for me. I expected the traditional crossfit, but I didn’t get that. The price is great and it’s good for the whole family since there is a variety of things offered. Not sure if there is more than one primary crossfit coach yet, but in my day there was only one, Jason. I had a hard time finding a spot sometimes bc of the increase in customers as well. Also, there is no shower facility, but there typically isn’t one at a “box”, but this isn’t what I would consider a “box” anyway. Unfortunately, this gym didn’t work for me. The cancellation policy was clear and I had no issues with it, but I didn’t like how curt the owner responded to my cancellation. Anyways, I’m glad it works for most.
Great people, lots of fun. And youre going to be feeling it when you leave
This place is awesome. Great coaches. Very inclusive crowd of athletes. Everyone encourages each other. Just a fantastic community to be a part of.
Halo has been such a game changer for my fitness experience! Incredible trainers take the guess work out of figuring out how to keep pushing myself and moving towards my goals. Great place!
Love this place. My fiancé, and I believe this will be a game changer for us to be our best selves before the wedding. Will check back in, in 4 months🤙
FINALLY a place for the whole family to work-out together. The set-up for strength training along side cardio work-outs are perfect for everyone. Dont know how to use a machine or what to do next at the gym, then this is the place for you. The coaching aspect of the work-outs certainly inspire and create an environment of fun and desire to get in better shape. The open gym time allows you to be more self-reliant but they have the monitors to give you work out cues and how to do each exercise. IF you are the super fit gym rat - you have a home here to. They variety and options for a work out are limited only by you not going to the gym. The positive approach to helping everyone achieve their personal fitness allows for tremendous personal growth. Maz, Adam, Jason etc are great addition to the Burke/Fairfax Community.
Ive been a member since day 1, so perhaps I am biased. We have, I think, about 12 family members (includes adult children and their spouses) who are members.I do the CrossFit side. There are definitely different styles of CrossFit gyms (or boxes).... Folks do have some choices, locally, for sure. For me there are 3 things I really like about Halo: (1) the community - there are now a lot of friends, neighbors, folks you see at school and ball fields who are members... Halo has done some cool community events, including helping to feed and clothe folks at local shelters; (2) the pricing is really, really good (the terms of engagement are all clearly stated, so anyone who expresses surprise at the rules just didnt read what they were given) - as I said, for a fully loaded CrossFit gym with good coaching, the pricing is unbeatable; (3) for me, the most important: if you join at the Platinum level you get a very liberal use of the CrossFit side during hours when classes are not taking place. They have an enormous space, with lots of rigs and equipment--this is important because there are times in CrossFit when you just want to come over and work on stuff you arent very good at... if the gym you are going to doesnt have the space/time to accommodate you, this will probably be a limitation for you. Finally, I would say that the owners are doing everything they can to bring fitness to the community.. they now have a (basically) full-time physical therapist and she is awesome... Id highly recommend you give them a try. ..but be forewarned: this is a people where people come to work out, not just who up!
Great value with new equipment, professional staff, and effective workouts. You will not be disappointed.
Starting to turn into a pretty unorganized mess. Gym is just focused on bringing in as many members as possible. It’s starting to take a toll on the quality of the classes. Half the class is spent looking for a spot to even workout. Most people put their water bottles and personal devices on equipment before the class even starts. Had to walk out of a few classes because I’m not in the mood to fight someone for a spot on a rig or rower... you also give the gym a free month of your money out of the year because of the staffs vacation weeks aka de-load weeks. Just a heads up because a lot of people don’t know that when they sign up including myself.
Ive never been one to consistently work-out, whether at home or in the gym, until I started my membership at the Halo Fitness Experience! Since theyve opened, Ive consistently gone 5 days a week and alternate between Peak Strength, Wave Cardio, and Crossfit 703... and Im seeing results!!! The facility is great, the coaches are awesome, and the community atmosphere is amazing! Dont think. Just join!
Great friendly place to work out.
If I could give zero stars for customer service, I would. Dont sign up for the 3 month plan!! They wont let you out of it for anything....i.e., injury, surgery, moving out of state, all things Ive unfortunately had to deal with in my time there. Heaven forbid you VERBALLY tell them more than 30 days in advance that you are moving and need to cancel your membership and honestly forget to follow up with an email....now Im stuck paying for an additional 3 months where I wont be able to attend the gym even once, since I now live in another state. Horrible customer service!! They werent willing to listen to my explanation and even went so far as to accuse me of lying about not receiving the attendance inquiry emails, like I always did when I missed attending during a week (mind you I havent attended the gym since mid-June, no inquiries on why I havent made it to the gym!).
This is a one of a kind facility. A very nice CrossFit setup with great CrossFit coaches. The trainers are highly knowledgeable and the workouts are great!
OWNER is very arrogant. Definitely needs CUSTOMER SERVICE training and how to keep your customer happy!!! He’s such a turned off.. We signed up for 3 MONTHS and tried to cancel and they refuse to reimburse us since they have my credit card on file. At my initial signup they said I could cancel anytime after the 3 months but just found out they send that message HIDDEN in their daily junk emails. Lesson learnt from this place.
I have never been much of a gym person, but Halo Fitness Experience has made me a convert. The space is amazing and they offer a number of different options that work for people at all different places in their fitness journeys. I am new to CrossFit and have found Jason to be extremely knowledgeable and patient. He’s very good at modifying movements if needed and also gives clear guidance as to how to do the different movements and why. They also offer Peak Strenth (haven’t tried this yet), Wave Cardio and Spark Kids. I love the idea of Spark Kids. Many gyms offer a place for kids to hang out while their parents are exercising, but Spark Kids has the kids doing their own workouts. Every member of the staff at Halo Fitness Experience is knowledgeable, supportive and motivating. I highly recommend you check this place out whether you are just starting out on your fitness journey or if you are more experienced and looking for a change. The prices are fantastic too!
My wife and I have been thoroughly impressed with all facets of Halo -- the incredible facility, the range of training available to members, the constantly varied programming, the interactive coaching staff, and the supportive community. Halos training model welcomes all ages, goals, and experience levels, from the pre-teen looking to improve coordination and fitness, to the Division-I athlete looking to enhance strength and work capacity, to someone getting off the couch for the first time in years. As an experienced athlete returning from too many frustrating months of injury, Ive found Peak Cardio and Crossfit 703, two of Halos programs, ideal for regaining strength, stamina, and good movement patterns. And now that their Crossfit kids program is taking shape, it wont be long before the whole family can get after it together! Big shout out to the co-founders -- theyve done an incredible job building Halo and its community!
Awesome!
Great place to work out
Great environment, amazing trainers, and unbeatable prices!
I LOVE HALO!
