Ive been going to HI Barber shop for a few years now. Like any barber shop you have to find the barber that cuts your hair the way you want it and stick with them. For me, I regularly make appointments with Cindy. She cuts my hair the way I like it every time. Ive had my hair cut from a few of the other barbers, and while they do a good job, I like Cindys work better.The place is very clean and the barbers are friendly. Before COVID, I never had to wait more than 20 minutes if I did not have an appointment. Weekends are going to be busier, as would be expected. For a mans haircut, I think they charge a reasonable price.

I have gotten an uneven haircut nearly every time Ive been here. The only barber I would trust there is Mai, and she is usually busy with customers when Im there. There have been multiple times where patches of hair behind and around my ear were left untouched (I like the sides bald). I keep going back because I received one good haircut there before and I keep thinking that these chains of bad haircuts were because the barbers had an off day. There are plenty of other barbers out there who do a better job for the same price

The staff were very nice and courteous. Prices are good but they dont have much experience cutting black people hair. Not sure Ill go back but dont let my experience deter you from going.

I got my haircut by Danny and it was amazing. It was my first cut in 2 months due to Covid and it was extremely thick. He took his time to make sure everything was even, my fade was symmetrical and the top was thinned. After he was finished he made sure it was short enough and to my standard before taking off the smock. Very professional and clean! I’ll be back.

Great experience overall! Excellent haircut and the hot towel plus massage is an added treat! I got a shave while I was there expecting a straight razor shave but instead got a shave with an electric shaver, which frankly isn’t worth the price they charge, hence the 4 star rating. I would definitely recommend the haircut but would pass on getting a shave.

Final result was not what I asked. Haircutter didnt finish all the way through to what I asked. On top of that, left a whole bunch of cut off hair on my head without sweeping it away (Im talking about locks and locks of hair). Last thing is that my hair was cut unevenly.

I have patronized this establishment for years and it has exceeded expectations and improves annually. I initially went for the hot towel massage and was surprised by their skill. They use a straight edge razor for the neck and sideburns so that you have a clean break. The hot towel massage is amazing, too. They have a complimentary drink service (cola and water), tv sports packages and cartoons, and have great hours. Walk-ins welcome with little wait (~10 minutes max). Prices are COMPARABLE to other establishments!!!Years ago they didnt do well with kids but that has changed. They are better and cheaper than snip-itz and cartoon cuts (less wait time, too).5 stars

My goto place now. They go the extra mile for the same cost as larger chain places. I recommended to bring cash as there is a fee for credit card use. I like the use of a straight razor on the neck, warm towel, and a quick massage at the end.

I don’t even live in nova anymore but whenever I make a trip up I make a point to stop here. Always a great haircut!

These folks are great, very quick, though always busy. That right there should tell you something. Like anywhere they slow down during the middle of the day, but after work hours and on the weekend they are slammed. Worth waiting, but you can get in quicker if you hit off times.

I did not even notice my barber cutting hair because he was gentle with my hair, but he cut my hair as i wanted.

My son is 5 and has been going here for a year. Quang is the absolute best with little kids- he is so patient and talks to them in kid-friendly terms. They also give lollipops at the end of it’s ok with parents. They have free beverages in a cooler up front. Parking is convenient and free. They will change the TVs to Nickelodeon for kids, which keeps them busy and distracted. So much cheaper than the kids specialty shops we had been going to (Cartoon Cuts and their insane priced kids cuts). Highly recommend for kids!!
