DO NOT waste your time renting from U-Haul. Your reservation is NOT confirmed until two days before your desired pickup and the location changes. I asked to pickup in Burbank and when U-Haul called today Patricia let me know that I would have to pickup the truck in Canyon Country. She gave me an additional 50 miles for free so all seemed well until I called back and asked a question. I then spoke with Daniel who told me my rental was NOT confirmed and that I would have to pickup the truck in Tehachapi!!!! Do you know where Tehachapi is? I didnt until I googled and it is 1 hour and 42 minutes north of Burbank, ONE WAY!! I said Im not driving almost 4 hours to pickup a truck and his response was I will if I want the 15 foot truck I was promised. With only two days before the move I called Penske and like magic all is well and confirmed with NO HASSLE and Im picking the truck up in Burbank. Difference of $60 but guess whos not driving to Tehachapi! 5 Stars Penske!!!

4.5 StarsIve used this U-Haul location many times, they always have the vehicle I need. It helps to call in advance and reserve what you need to avoid complications. Even with people in line, they have the process down where youre not waiting too long to get or drop off.The vehicles have always been clean and well-maintained, no maintenance issues. The staff was great, and easy to work with. They run an honest business, I will continue to use them and recommend it.

I rented a 10-foot truck to move from San Jose to Burbank, California, and paid $520 for mileage and equipment. After returning the vehicle in 35 hours when I had 96 hours to keep it. The guy reversed the fuel credit that they gave me in San Jose location for no reason I knew of because I returned it at the exact level I picked up. They left me with the impression that they were doing to help, but when in fact, they charge me three times the price of the fuel at the end when I cant go in to pick up the truck to refuel it and return to them. I couldve pumped gas myself at a fraction of the price. Im familiar with these industries the deception not so much. The customer service gal Mackenzie argued for 15 minutes the contract said the truth, not the guy who handed the truck in San Jose. I let them take the money anyway, but there is a story to be heard for others to avoid this unsatisfying and disappointing story. Why did they bother giving a fuel credit in the first place anyway, so they take it away?

This location and employees are by far the best experience I’ve had with U-Haul. Went it due to a poor hitch wiring done in another state and talked to Robert about it, recommended to follow up next day with Jonathan to resolve the situation. Contacted Jonathan and he confirmed they had the part I needed and got it fixed in no time without a hassle. Even sold me the bicycle they had on displayed which was a great deal! Can’t thank them enough and U-Haul needs to hire more people like them. Definitely was worth the drive.

UHaul is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They could not commit to having a truck for me even though I made a reservation over a month in advance. They dont care about their customers or the customers needs. Penske on the other hand is amazing and I totally recommend them! They care about their customers needs and were very helpful and made the process easy!

I needed to rent an Appliance dolly for moving an old refrigerator. They had it, it was only $10. And U-Haul is all over the place. This one is in Burbank at Victory Blvd and Alameda. Good location.

Organized and efficient service. The truck felt a bit rickety, but it was in town move, so no biggie. Prove was lower than projected for move.

The entire process of renting and returning a van was extremely simple and fast.

Employees try to work with you as possible, but they solve problem way too slow, nothing got better after your visit, but you get what you needed, its recommended place to make reservations and to buy boxes but other then that dont even try to pickup trailers or trucks from here.
