There werent many people. Great place to play with kids on a hot summer day
Great place to skate! Helpful staff
After being cooped up for a year my grandchildren got to ice skating. Everything was so clean and social distancing was easy to maintain.
Great place to ice-skate for different levels/ages of skaters. Much improvement after the last yearβs $1M renovations. Very convenient skate sharpening shop thatβs been here for years. The ice arena is beautifully framed by the Pickwick rose and tree gardens. Waiting for it to re-open for the public skating sessions!
Best place ever. I skated here in the 80s as a little kid, now my son is on week 2 of begging ice skating. Thank you pickwick for many many years of excellence! See you tonight!
Christmas is crowded but still a fun time! My boyfriend and I spent our first Christmas together, and it was cute to see all of the families there together.Plus side? Theres 2 rinks! An indoor for a bit warmer feel and an outdoor rink where you can get the real feel of n east coast tradition.A LOT of kids. So if you want a romantic, quiet date - I would suggest another day to go.
I took my skates in to assess whether to have one of my blades moved again. Brian was extremely knowledgeable and could see where it had been moved too far before: He told me to try them out on the ice after he adjusted it. I think it will improve my issue and help me become a better skater. It was such a relief and he was very courteous.
My kids have been coming here for years - wonderful service - we thank you
If youre looking for a fun spot to skate, look no further! This rink offers a relaxed vibe, a wide age and talent range of skaters and a great variety of tunes to accompany your skating experience.
Very old rink. With Kings acquisition, they will bring this rink into the modern era. This rink host one of the premier/elite travel hockey clubs in the valley (Golden Bears). With the rinks transformation coming soon, this rink will be the place Peewee and Bantam players will flock too.Its current state is the reason for the four stars. Once this rinks transformation is completed, it will be five stars. The transformation will include ice upgrades, seating, locker room and spectating area revamp. There will be and additional sheet of ice added and a pro shop.
Staff are very friendly when asked for help on any issue. We have been skating here every Saturday night for a year and learned how to skate from total beginning level without classes. All the people have been very helpful in suggesting strategies to make our experience enjoyable while we learn. The ice is fully open on the night skate hours, but there is a section coned off for kids learning to skate in the daytime. We tried other rinks around Los Angeles, but prefer to skate here where there is more room, although the arena as a structure is old and run down, the ice is well kept and easy to maneuver.
Super fun, definitely showing its age but it is great for families. We brought our three year old and the seal was a huge hit with him (and us). RENT the seal!!!!
Ive read all the reviews on this place and Ive taken all of them into consideration. Yes I do agree that it was a terrible idea to start allowing parents to rent those little toy seals for their kids to ride on the ice. It really causes a lot of congestion on the ice and it is a safety concern. Other than this I have not had any negative experiences with the staff or the experience itself. I do love this place, its very nice and clean and I enjoy skating here.
New rink, same employees. They raised the freestyle price to $16 and I still get interrupted while skating. Who has the time or money to be interrupted twice while training? The worker requests that I pay while Iβm skating... why not be there to accept payment before we step on the ice like every other ice rink? Please fix this.
Have tried SO MANY times to give them my business and they are always either closed (hours posted are NEVER kept or accurate) or they tell me that the only person that can help me with my βissueβ ( I wanted to have my new blades put on my skates π€·πΌββοΈ) is not there that day. This is their constant response. Terrible! I donβt know how they stay open.
Such a cool and unique find in CA ! Went last night for the Rock Disco evening and it was such a blast! I will definitely recommend this to friends and family that come to CA in the future!
Its pretty much run by a young energetic staff and angry older people. The staff is not helpful at all nor are they even friendly. Its the only ice rink in Burbank, so if youre looking to cool down in the summer is a great place, other than that, dont expect good food, a clean rink or friendly customer service.
A week later and I still have an open wound on my ankle from those skates. PACK EXTRA SOCKS FOR REAL.
I love this place. Iβve been skating here for 2 years. 10/10 recommend
Sometimes the ice is good, sometimes its not, like tonight. But its where I learned to love skating, so I will always like it here.
Home of Los Angeles Ice Theatre. International and National Figure Skaters. Fun for all! Go have a GR8 SK8 :-D
Great customer service had a great time with my girl n kids.
Not a bad rink but definitely wouldnt recommend getting figure skates sharpened here unless you want to say goodbye to your rocker.
Worst birthday party I have ever thrown for my daughter in the last 7 years. Spent almost $1,000 and the service was horrible. Every request was handled very poorly. When speaking to management I was able to see that this all starts with the way they train their employees. We were pushed out of the room very rudely. Everything is on their schedule. Even cutting cake is when they want to do it. Find another venue if you do not want to be disappointed!
The ice is really nice and sckates are pretty comfortable UwU
I went for the first time on a Wednesday night and wasnt thrilled with the experience. They advertise a full size NHL hockey rink for the public sessions. Truth be told, 25% is coned off for junior hockey class, personal coaches with their students take another 25% of the ice. This leaves 50% to skate on....smaller than the smallest rinks in town. The guard on duty said this is the norm. I too agree with the other comments, staff a little grumpy....I wonder if any of them would spontaneously human combust if they accidentally smiled.
I would like to highligt my positive experience withthe Pickwick management. I had a few concerns and those were addressed immediately. This place has great instructors. One of them is Trifun. He has been teaching my family and me private ice skating lessons for a while. He is an incredible Iceskating Instructor. He is very professional, cheerful, and respectful. My family and I really have a great time at this place.
I Like Trifun Is Good And A Nice Teacher And Some Other Teachers Are Okay But Trifun Is A Nice And Fun Guy And He Is Also A Excellent Teacher And Kind Guy The Place Is Really Nice,I Like This Place.
Ice skating super fun, never met a mean staff, they even have hockey skates and sometimes choose a song events! π
Clean and beatiful place.
Fun place to skate. Only wish the locker rooms had AC.
Home of the California Golden Bears. An awesome hockey club since head coach Peter Torsson arrived and whipped this organization into shape ;)
Michael scarn practiced here. need. i. say. more.
Great way to cool off during the summer.
The ice skates are great. I just could not understand how there was no more control about kids running wild in the rink. One of them bumped onto me, knocked me flat on the ice, then jumped at me again until i think his father or another adult got him off me. Ended up with a bad bump on the back of my head and super weary about skating again. Another thing, those plastic seals....who had that wonderful idea? Because nothing safer in a rink than giving kids something, a solid surface to knock people down when they are running through the rink out of control. The lady in front of me was knocked backwards and onto the seal (ouch) and the kid just kept going, will try another rink. Food was good tho
Been my safe place for years. I will be sad if it closes.
Good for rookies and professionals. The only minus is the 2 hours limit (((
Nice staff and good persons there..
One of the few ice skating centers in Los Angeles
Sweet little old rink with friendly staff
I work here. =)
Ice skates sharpened by Bryan. Good job!
Best place and the best staff ever!
Lol @ the review that says its cold inside... Its a friggen ice rink!
Been here multiple times on Wednesday nights for discounted rates and its a blast!
Brand new remodel with LA Kings memorabilia
Food is delicious, very friendly
Old school rink wet floors wet bathroom
One of the worst rinks in La. Stinky, smelly, poorly kept bathrooms with standing pools of urine.
Friendly staff. Lots of Freestyle time!
Best ice skating rink in LA!!!!!
Inside its very cold the staff are very rude and the workers not helpful at all ;[
Mean service on the phone
Service is good
Workers are not helpful at all.
Amazing place
Love it
Good ice skating spot
Good facilities and thorough management are good for kids and I think education methods for children are good.
It is a very fun place to go with the family.
A perfect place
Played here 2 years in a row! A good place!
