After purchasing our new house, the first thing on our list was to sand and refinish the hardwood floors that were scratched and heavily red/yellowed from oil-based poly. When we started contacting flooring contractors for quotes, we were looking for someone who could not only give us a great competitive price but also that we felt could achieve our vision for what we wanted the floors to look like. It became obvious after receiving a few quotes that Sergiu was more communicative and knowledgeable than the rest. He was the only one who spent the time to explain every detail about the flooring process. It is important to have someone who is willing to sit and discuss options with you so that you feel like your voice is heard and that you are getting the right product for the final look that you want. He explained the type of wood we had, how the stains would take for each different section, and what poly he recommends for our family and activity level. He gave expert recommendation for product types and we ended up going with a water-based poly to minimize the red/yellowing effect with time. When it came to the stain, boy, did he nail what we had in mind. In fact, I think me and my wife agree that the floors look better than any of our online picture influences. He absolutely revitalized the house to make it feel like new and I cant thank him enough for that. He was always responsive during the process and consultative. He got the job done in the timeframe we set. He also set aside funds for any repairs, which helped because it left us with no surprise costs that popped up during the process. I could not recommend him enough. Dont trust anyone with your floors. Trust those who will get it done right. And Sergiu and his team will do that.

Just want to say thank you for the amazing job that was done. Recently we bought a foreclosure home that was winterized and of course it needed some work. The floors were cupped (not bad), so we started shopping around. Funny, we got estimates saying that we need to sand the floors right away or even replace them. Also were getting little explanation and had the feeling that some sales men had no idea what they were talking about and just wanted the job. Now, Floors plus Quality not only had a competitive price, but were the only ones who took moisture readings in the house. We dealt directly with the owner, who explained us in details what was going on with the wood and advised us not to rush, but do it right. On his advice we ran a couple of dehumidifiers to dry the wood. He would stop from time to time by the house to remeasure the moisture, always keeping us updated, and amazingly in like a couple of weeks the floors settled down. We were so happy because it saved us a lot of money and gave us peace of mind - the floors were OK. A sand was done with new color and poly and now we enjoy our new house with brand new floors. Sergiu and his flooring family were great! Sergiu puts quality above anything else when installing floors. We were concerned about moisture, Sergiu checked the moisture levels in our slab before install, and the slab was above the recommended mositure level. Sergiu postponed install so we could run a dehumidifier to lower mositure levels. He came and checked the floor moisture levels periodically until the floor was ready. Needless to say, very professional. They went above and beyond for quality and we really appreciate it because installing hardwood is not an inexpensive home improvement, but well worth it!
