Im in the process of suing this complex. They shoukd be served next week. I got attacked and a neighhbor did the right thing and called 911 however i was offered a restraining order and the girl went to jail. I was the victim yet the complex threatened me that if i didnt vacate the property and leave all my belongs they would evict my boss and my friends just to do it. Why??? Maybe my 12,000 recording studio or my 7 grand vanity desk or my 700 computer. I cant even get my deceased childs baby book. I couldnt move here because they are about to lose the complex in this civil lawsuit.

This is a friendly warning. Do not come live here. Look at the other reviews. These people speak the truth. Also you will have no amenities. They closed the pool the entire summer and the fitness room is still closed. Keep in mind everything else around us has been open for months. Its so apparent they are using this corona virus to maintain and do less. Also we have mold and everything is falling apart in our apartment. We have been here for years and no new anything. As long as your AC works and you have a front door that locks then they consider that maintained. These type of places stink from the head down so its not so much the workers but the people who are financially responsible for the property. Consider yourself warned.

The apartments and atmosphere here is beautiful, yet I can not shelter how unprofessional management staff here is. The ONLY thing that matters to them is the money, not the tenants. They try to take shortcuts to fix EVERYTHING and will NOT assist you in any way when you have to take off work so maintenance can fix a problem thats a repeated issue.

Infested with cockroaches, wasps, and ticks in trees. Apartment complex does nothing about spraying them apparently and if u want to spray for them you have to do it yourself but if your neighbors don’t do it too then there’s basically no use. My apartment was so dirty when i arrived, so i had to ask them to come clean it again. It looked better once they cleaned it but half of the stuff is broke anyways. Asked maintenance to fix some stuff and they fixed most of it but then they locked the AC unit so i couldn’t get in there. After a couple of days of living here the AC couldn’t keep up so i asked a maintenance guy to come and he looked at it and said well it looks fine to me so he just left. (It’s set on 70 and it’s 76 degrees in here). Have only lived here a couple weeks and I’m already looking for another apartment.

I LOVE living at Dakota Mill Creek Apartment Homes. I added homes to my description because they are like living in a home. I have a walk in level apartment (my mom lives with me and needs a walk in level because of mobility issues) AND I have a HUGE garage that goes directly into my apartment. Who could ask for more. The amenities and office staff are phenomenal. Any maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. I give them five stars!

I have had a great experience living here. You are never going to find a perfect place, but this one is close to it. I am very big on customer service and every time I have entered the office I have been greeted by a friendly face. Of course everyone has different things that are important to them and I just feel that when you find a place that works for you, you should stick with it.

I was resident in Dakota Mill Creek Apartments (Formerly Century Mill Creek) approximately 11 months and decided not to renew my lease due to number of issues that created very unpleasant experience. I am going to focus only on factors that are specific to this complex (loud music & noisy neighbors are everywhere). Here are the main 4 factors that I made a decision to move out:1- Ventilation problem: When the apartment below me used their bathroom, odor filled my apartment. I think there was an issue with the fan sending the air into my unit rather than outside and maintenance were never able to find the problem. Fortunately, the apartment below me was vacant for a most of the period that I was resident there.2- Frequent, intrusive: disruptive inspections. Every two weeks I received a notice that they want to enter my apartment for mandatory fire inspection. If you are working late shifts / on call and need to sleep late during the day, be aware of their bi-weekly inspections and most of the times, they don’t even show up.3- squeaky floors: You hear the wood slats moving under your steps as you walk on the floor. The same from your neighbor above you. Not only you hear their steps, the squeaking noise is more irritating than their steps. Slats are loose and you even feel the nails are sticking out under the carpet.4- Snakes: Due to no separation between the common area and surrounding trees and forests, snakes are constantly present in the parking lots and these are not your tiny garden snakes. They are 4 to 6 foot long black snakes (you want to see an actual one in action in the parking lot, go to YouTube and type “snakes in Dakota Mill creek Apartments”. Despite these are the type of snakes you prefer to have around (non-poisonous, friendly to human and eat rattle snakes and copper head), I rather not to have them around. For this reason, I had to rent a garage and pay additional rent, since one was under my car one day and ended up late to work.Other factors that caused unpleasant experience for me living at Dakota Mill Creek:- Run down and nearly becoming section 8 housing: The apartments are not professionally and well maintained (not current management fault). All windows leak and dual pane windows passed their useful life (fog covers the windows between the two panes). Due to this moisture intrusion, mold has formed from inside around the frames of the windows. Instead of removing the mold, they just painted over them and they re-appear a couple of months after you move-in. Nails sticking out from everywhere and instead nailing them back into place, they just painted over them.- Management: Not only is disconnected from the residents, they won’t even respond when you send them an email. They are basically rent collectors and not very helpful or resident oriented (their attitude, especially the manager is like they are doing you a favor to rent to you).- Limited access to the Office: The office recently changed their hours to be open from 9:30 AM to 5:30PM. If you have a package and have a 9 to 5 job, good luck to pick it up. Your only option is Saturday, and most of the time it is only one man show and he / she is showing apartments to apartment hunters.- Due to failed windows and poor insulation, my power bill was 35% higher at this complex apartment.- If your move-out date falls into Saturday, they will charge you rent for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, since no walk through on Sat., closed on Sunday and Monday counts as you lived there no matter how early you turn your keys in the office. There are many many other issues (frequently broken Gate, dirty garbage dump area filled with flies & insects, Cockroaches inside apartments, sloppy walls & doors patching and paint job . . .), and truly, these apartments are beyond repairs and for apartments with this condition, they are way over priced comparing to newer ones in the area.

I’ve lived at this apartment for almost 3 years, and my recent interactions with management have been so disappointing that I’m ready to leave. There have been some customer service problems since day one, but a recent issue with a lost check has been handled appallingly poorly by management for absolutely no reason. It’s inexplicably difficult to pay rent in a convenient manner. The office staff don’t reliably respond to emails or voicemail and rarely answer the phone. Management seems greedy and completely uncaring about the satisfaction of a reliable renter. I hope they think that unjustified fee they refused to waive was worth the trouble we’ve been through trying to solve this, the disappointment, frustration, and potential loss of a long-term resident, and this negative review. Embarrassingly bad - it amazes me that anyone could think this was the best way to handle a situation that would have been so simple to fix. There are also some general issues with the community like broken gates, overflowing dumpster, and problems receiving mail, but my interactions with the office staff have been the absolute worst part of living here. Relatively high rent does not reflect quality of service or facilities. Avoid making the same mistake I did – don’t live here.

Before new ownership took over living here was great. The staff cared about taking care of any issues and making sure your experience was excellent. Im going on my second year living here and its been awful. My first complaint is our AC broke for a month and a half. We had people from maintenance come out four or five different times. Our apartment was at 80 degrees constantly trying to cool it down in the beginning of summer. FINALLY someone actually checked the unit and noticed a loose wire. Fixed it and we havent had any issues. When brought to the managers attention about our electric bill being sky high because of this issue all he replied with was oh yeah its summer, my bill went up too. (Oh okay your bill went up 250 dollars too because they failed to inspect the unit properly)Second complaint is the amount of hornet and wasps nests in the breezeway of the complexes. I thought we paid for pest control.Speaking of pest control. I called the front desk one afternoon because we had thousands of ants entering into our complex from a crack in the baseboard. My laundry room, kitchen floor, and trashcan were COVERED. I was told theyd call the pest control to come out( because they were there that day spraying) and call me back. Never heard a word back from the front office and they never came to inspect our unit. So I had to buy three to four cans of ant killer and ant baits, and then basically mop my floor in raid to kill all of the ants. The next day they were all over our porch by our front door. Its been three weeks since I called the office about the ants. Nobody has come to spray and nobody has followed up. We still have ants in our apartment.

My family and I have lived at this apartment complex for 2years on the ground floor and during the duration of the time we have had less then acceptable living experience. From two flooding into our apartment from the neighbor’s hot water heater bursting at two separate occasions. And termite damage and termites coming into my 12m old sons room. How the complex handle and the duration of the time they handle it was unacceptable. Nor were we put up into a hotel or different apartment during the flooding and fixing of the termites damage that took 2 months to fix. To only prorated $200 from a $1,200+ rent. After the second flooding we broke our lease and had enough to move out with in a 3day time. The building are old and falling apart, Appliances are old and breaking down. Although they have put a new slab of paint and signs for the front office and entrance to seem welcoming. with only two maintenance men to take care of the residents in the complex these apartments and residents aren’t the way they need to be. Now the corporate office is trying to accuse us of breaking our lease and won’t take care of the proranted rent and always the moving trunk. All we want is we want is to be treated fair and deposit back. We are hiring a lawyer and taking to small claims court. All this is company is a money hungry company that sees its residents on a piece of paper.

Dakota mill creek has been horrible! Honestly these apartments are the worst before it used to be so much better with another companyand now all there is would be trash all around, mouses in the apartments, snakes around the pool area and cats running around like if this was a circus and or who know what, the maintenance is the worst if you call to get something fixed they take almost 3 weeks to get to you and they end up finishing the work in a horrible matter. Honestly a lot of people have had so many complains and they don’t care about it, if you Have a problem they end up talking about you as if it was high school. Since Dakota mill creek this horrible company has brought everything down and caused a lot of problems and just a tip for those a reading the pictures may seem nice but in person it does not really match, the employees here always want to be right and since I have worked throughout my life I have never met people like them, they don’t know anything about customer service and how the customer has a say all they care about is charging you for everything including ever piece of trash but honestly the maintenance people need to do a better job. I would not recommend this to anyone in fact I would not want you and your family to suffer and or get caught up in there lies and at the end only end up paying for them!! Save yourself and don’t make the error I made to come here with my 4 kids and my wife !! They care about themselves and they don’t understand that there are people living there who pay every month and who expect everything to be in order!:(

Found a mouse in our apartment! I just moved in two weeks ago!! I have a 3 year old and called the night of, and they said the maintenance man wouldn’t do anything it that night. So I made a service request right after hearing that and was expecting them to at least put some traps out while I was at work the next day. NOTHING! So I called again and complained because my fiancé was there with my son while I worked late and she saw the mouse run into the laundry room. They said they would get someone out and it’s almost 10pm and still nothing. These apartments have a great community with awesome neighbors but considering I pay for pest control each month you’d think they’d fix this sooner. Especially considering I have a child here who is afraid of it.

Let me start off by saying this complex had the potential to be good when I first signed in Winter 2016 but my impression of them only went downhill from there. Problems began the moment I signed my lease. But first I want to note I was lucky to even get the lease. The prior tenant who arranged to rent decided last minute to cancel his contract, opening the way for me. So ultimately I signed the lease on a whim Saturday evening, right before closing, and among other move in related duties, was told by the associate the electricity would be left on until the following week (no mention of any fees). A month later I get a charge for a $50 dollars that was because I didn’t have electricity set up in my name upon moving into the apartment. This was in addition to the $7 dollars (!) of electricity that I used in their name the days before setting up my own electricity account. At the time the last tenant decided to drop out on that Saturday and the time I decided to sign on, there would have logistically been no way to get an electrician out there to set it up. But to them, it didn’t matter, I owed them $50 extra and there was no discussion or reasonable understanding on their part. So be warned in advance first off of the requirement to have electricity set up before moving in, less you will be charged a “vacant service fee”.Also be informed that in addition to the base rent that they advertise, what you end up paying through their billing contractor ends up being roughly $70 more per month (plus an additional $15-$20 renter insurance through an outside provider) which is their cost for pest, sewer, water, garbage, and administrative fees. One problem that others have mentioned in their reviews are how management cut their office hours back. Yes this is frustrating and I agree completely, but what’s even more boneheaded is that they permanently sealed their rent drop box (one can only assume as an attempt to garner more late fees). So the people who choose to pay by check have to be there by 5:30 on weekdays to deliver it in person. Be prepared to leave work early once a month just for this, and even if you don’t receive many packages, the new hours will still affect you.Another problem I have experienced is with their weight room. I definitely was impressed with the quality of their gym, but it amazes me that they do not take care of it. One morning I was in there, a mechanical device in their service closet just started beeping obnoxiously and for months it was always on whenever I went in there! There are consistent problems with the treadmills, like half of them don’t even work period and there was over a month this spring where none of them worked. They supposedly were going to get new ones but I’m not holding my breath, since they said this a while ago and now it’s back to half of them working again. It is also annoying how dirty, and worn some of their equipment can be.As another reviewer had commented on inspection frequency…there was a stretch where they had three inspections in a little over a month-fire hazard, fire detector, and fire sprinklers-three very closely related topics, but it feels as if they split it up like that because they prefer to stick their noses into our apartments to look for pets and other stuff they frown upon. When my lease expires, I am not renewing. The new management has increasingly changed the vibe towards cutting costs and making money grabs at the expense of their tenants. Literally the only facility changes they have brought in since taking over are new signage for roads, doors, and renovation of part of the clubhouse. The renovations literally affect their employees more than the tenants. But they will these as justification to start charging $50 a month more on rent. As someone else said the office staff feels like they are doing us a favor for any small request we make and that they only care about collecting rent. But at least a few of them are nice. In closing--Do not rent from here if you do not have to!

I talked to Dakota mill creek people (Vivian) twice . still no call back from her boss Kerry. This is just waste of time.My review had 3 starts initially but they are going down.

In case you missed my Yelp review: Run! Run screaming from this place. It was recently bought by Hercules Living. I am going on four years here, and since the new management took over, basic life functions are a nightmare. First, they stopped the all deliveries to your door. So, you have to go to the office for your packages. Fine. That is doable. Then, they cut office hours DRASTICALLY!!!! They shut down and lock up (allegedly) at 5:30. Given this is the metro Atlanta area, good luck to most people getting there before they shutdown. They cut weekend hours to useless. Then they staff the office with one person on Saturday. That person will ignore you to make a sale. I have life-saving medication that my insurance requires be shipped to me. USPS, UPS, and FedEx leave it at the office instead of my door now. I cannot tell you how dangerous to me this is. Prior to Hercules, I never had a problem! Now, getting my medication is chancy at best. For those without life threatening conditions, if you have an emergency (flooding kitchen/bathroom/water raining from ceiling) it takes DAYS for anyone to respond. And they are annoyed to have to deal. All they care about is you paying on time. F^*+ their obligations. Please. Dont live here. You deserve better. #herculesliving. (I cant stop laughing at the managements request to contact them on previous review. Right, like I would out myself to Roni to be singled out for punishment. If they want to fix something - restore delivery to the apartments (where there were NEVER issues) and restore office hours.) Hell, you put in a help ticket request and the management is so useless it sends an auto replay telling you that . Is the response to your service request. (Not kidding have gotten this almost weekly from Hell - I mean Hercules living.)

I relocated to Georgia in February due to job relocation. I am use to living in really nice luxury apartments. The apartments at Century Mill Creek are by far the worse. I cannot speak for every unit but stay away from building 900. The only pro is the size of the two bedrooms are fairly decent and the overall grounds are well kept despite running across a rattle snake every now and then due to all of the trees. When I first met with Amber, the leasing agent, I informed her that stainless steel appliances were a deal breaker for me and a must have. Amber assured me that although the model had white appliances my particular apartment had stainless steel appliances. On move in date I discovered my apartment to be filthy, the toilets had stained feces around the toilet rim, mildew stains throughout the tile in the bathroom tub, food stains on the floor in the kitchen between the refrigerator area, refrigerator was not clean, only 1 out of the 4 stovetop burners were working at that time and now none of them are currently working. There were no stainless steel appliances in my apartment as I was told. When I called to inquire Amber then acted as if she had amnesia of the sort and could not recall the communication regarding the appliances. She then consulted with her manager Jennifer Bullock, and then proceeded to tell me I would have to pay an additional $50 dollars per month for stainless steel appliances. The apartments are old thus the utilities are fairly high and will run you an additional 100 dollars just for water, valet trash and other miscellaneous charges. The HVAC unit is horrible, and maintenance never changes the filters so expect your Jackson EMC bill to be costly upwards of 100 dollars or more monthly. The units are poorly built you will literally hear your neighbors walking across the floor, singing in the shower, or flushing their toilet. I work from home so it is a complete nuisance throughout the day to hear children and dogs constantly walking across the floor. If you do decide to move here get yourself a 3rd floor apartment but expect that you will probably receive frivolous nuisance noise complaints because of poor noise insulation between the unit floors. I have also shared pics of carpenter ants and water bugs (roaches I have come across in the apartment). You will be charged pest control if you request it. My overall advice the price is not worth it for the quality of apartment you are receiving. There are comparable and fairly priced apartments within the area that are newer and far more worth the money than what you will pay to stay here. Just my honest opinion.

I moved into this place from out of state. I saw pictures online and decided it was what was best for me and my family. The description of the apartment made it seem like it was luxurious and upscale in a community that everyone wanted to be in. It said the one bedroom was 825 sqft which was rather large for a one bedroom, so we decided it was worth the high rent.Upon moving in we discovered that it was WAY smaller than it had been advertised. My husband and I already had furniture being delivered on our move in day and it hardly fit! We decided to get a measuring tape and after calculating everything including storage and patios outdoor we only had 650 square feet of space, Hardly enough for our furniture and no space for my infant to learn how to crawl and walk without bumping her head on furniture. We talked to the office in the front and they denied that our space was any smaller than they advertised even though we measured it inch by inch. They said they can only go by what the builders told them, and they gave us two options, move out or pay 180 dollars more for an apartment that was slightly bigger (but still not even 825 sqft). I was furious, we should have gotten the apartment that was closer to what we thought we were getting for at least the same price as what we were paying for the tiny one they falsely advertised.I tried talking to the manager Roni, who was extremely rude to us. She told us she didnt think she could help us so we should just move out., and she very rudely told us to get out of her office. My two month old myself and my husband with all of our furniture and belongings had exactly one day to find a new place and move out of the tiny apartment. We had to pay movers 400 dollars and we had to move into a place that was 30 minutes away from my husbands job because we didnt have the time to continue looking for apartments. This place is NOT what it advertises. The appliances were yellowing, the paint was all over the outlets and very bad on the cabinets. Everything down to the faucets was outdated and the place was too small to even stretch out, let alone raise a daughter in. The only person who seemed to feel bad for what was happening to us was Jennifer, a girl who worked under Roni.We were treated very unfairly, although we did get our refund back in a timely manner, we lost out on 400 dollars which is a lot for a family just starting out such as ours. I DO NOT recommend this place as it is not what they make it seem it is in the pictures. (I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, BUT I FELT IT WOULD BE AN INJUSTICE TO NOT SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS)
