Absolute terrible customer service. Had booked a truck online, and when I showed up at my reserved time, the truck is not only not reserved, they didn’t even have one available. The clerk at the desk did not offer to look around to see if a truck of that size was available anywhere locally. He basically shrugged me off and said well, it looks like you’ll have to take the smaller size truck, what is your credit card? Immediately walked out, called U-Haul Corporate, and was referred to the Niagara Falls location on military, which exceeded any and all expectations. Please see my five star review for them. The store, however, if I could, I would give zero stars.

A friend of mine just used U-Haul to move from New York City to Buffalo New York the service was great the vehicle ran without an any issues and turning the vehicle in was a breeze if you have to move U-Haul should be your option

Moving & couldnt get the right size truck for all of my stuff. Cost too much for trips, had to leave stuff behind

Fantastic service. So my hitch was very loose after having it installed earlier today. The two guys went out of their way to help me as much as possible with the issue I was having after renting a trailer, they even called around to get the best possible solution for me. I think their names were Marcus and Isaiah. Just incase the names are wrong, fir management purposes on who earned this good review, I was there 12/04 around 6:30-7pm.

Rented recently two different trucks this past week through the Main St location and was impressed with their service. Trucks were both ready on time and ready to go. The General Manager Tajh King is very transparent and made the experience an enjoyable one. I would recommend renting from this location. Also, make an appointment in advance and go early.

These guys are great!!!!!!!!! Everyone likes to down play U-Haul like it is so expensive but if you just calculate how many miles you use before hand, you will be all set. I just guessed & was a few bucks over... Literally walked in the last hour and a half, had my truck within 10 minutes. Took about a few hours as far as going to my sons mothers place, loading and moving. I even snuck in a trip to my parents house to grab a few of my things to move to my place. Cleaned the truck, did the full procedure of return as far as taking pictures of everything, etc. Smooth and easy!!! Even the customer service rep I talked to a few days later was very helpful and informative... Two thumbs up to these guys, I highly recommend them!!!

Went to get my reservation and told me I only had a few hours which was not explained on reservation I made online.

The people inside were fairly courteous but the guy outside when i dropped off the vehicle couldnt have been less genteel if he tried. Also tried to overcharge for gas in the tank. Stay away from this location and find a more reputable place. Theres plenty around town

Very busy, but well organized store... until return occurs and the parking lot becomes jammed

I was over charged three days, after being told i had not returned the equipment. The truck i rented had an ABS light on and many other maintenance issues that needed to be fixed. The customer service representative had removed the over charges eventually however i am still very unsatisfied with my uHaul experience as a result of this. I was initially charged $20 for the truck rental and 30 miles at 99c a mile. I had only used 28 miles per the odometer and was never compensated for this return. If this is the uHaul standard i will not be using this service again

This location had two people working. Out of the two one didnt know how to use the computer so he was no help. I was supposed to have the truck from 8 til 12. I didnt get checked out til 9 and still had to get the truck back by noon because they said someone reserved it for the afternoon. Be ready to wait if you have a truck reserved at this location.

They really need to replaced a new manager that have good professional skills and that respect customers at all times. Tajh King gotta go asap.

These guys could use more help! While the two gentlemen who were working, were working, they just did not have enough staff on hand. We were just picking up and it took an hour to do that. My complaint is not with the gentlemen who were there but with U-haul itself for not providing this facility with proper staffing. When you are moving time is valuable and it was a waste of a lot of time just to get the trailer to get started!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I rented a 10’ truck. I drove this truck 6 miles, filled it with 1.5 gallons of gas before returning it, and was still charged an additional $18 because “it was’t filled up all the way,” according to the employee I spoke to. This is absolutely absurd. How does that even make sense? 6 miles driving, 1.5 gallons filled, and then an $18 fee? The only explanation for this is that the tank was not recorded being at the correct level beforehand, and I did not think to take a photo because I didn’t think I would be scammed like this. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

As always having to use a moving truck is never an issue with Uhaul. I can rent online, makes is faster, and of course i never forget my wrapping supplies. They have every thing i need. And the more you rent the easier.

Just set up the reservation - it was very thorough.Just did the quick check-in - it was very easy.Just talked to Tamara on the phone for some quick questions - she was VERY helpful. I note that other reviews indicated a need for better customer service; well, they werent talking to her, I wager that!Ive used UHaul before - and from this location - and Ive had VERY few problems. Hopefully, my move goes as smoothly as my rental does.

Taj King the general manager was awesome! After being denied a trailer at the Niagara Falls Blvd location by the very rude employee that worked there I called the Main st location and they took care of me right away with no problems. Thank you Mr. King for your excellent service

Worker had a bad attitude no customer service skills

Was supposed to pick up moving truck on Niagara Falls Blvd. Called day before moving day, the sent us all the way into the city. Truck was clean up front and back. Had us processed in timely manner.

This is literally the worst Uhaul location in WNY!! They are unprofessional and lazy. I have a storage unit there because I’m relocating and I’m not in the same city as my storage unit so speaking to a actual representative that’s at the location were the storage I’m paying for is very important!! Every time I try to contact the store they purposely let it ring to they’re offsite answering service every time! I’ve called them as soon as they opened, 45 mins after opening, before lunch time, after, and evening. I kept getting off site answering service. The offsite representative will send them a message to return my call and they NEVER do. They ignored my calls as well as multiple request to call back from Uhaul offsite answering service. I suggested one of my friends to drive by to see why they weren’t answering the phone. It was 2 black guys one of them was the manager of the store. Not surprised by what he told me and recorded. These men were sitting there doing nothing and drinking a beverage. Hiding behind tall boxes so high that when you walk in the store you couldn’t see them. You have to walk further to the back. Neither of them got up to greet my friend at the door and the lights are so dim you can’t tell if the Uhaul location is open or closed. These men are completely lazy, unprofessional, and withdrawn. If you need verification of that just call the Main Street location and listen to his voice on automated phone system. They literally NEVER answer the phone because they have an offsite answering service!!

A good place to rent moving trucks and vans. Decent rates for renting moving trucks and vans. Storage lockers can run a bit pricey and the storage lockers are a bit on the small side

The trucks need repairs, thought my truck was going to kill me! Plus they added extra miles that I did not use. Be careful of this place, I recommend going to a different uhaul vendor

Went to try and rent a pickup today only to be greeted by a rude employee named Tajh. Not only was Tajh extremely unprofessional, when presented with a problem like not having the truck we were looking for he didnt provide any solutions, he just kept being rude. It was easy to tell he didnt want us in the store, so we obliged and left. Whoever his manager is needs to send him to a customer service training, or risk losing even more customers. As a branch manager myself, if one of my team members treated a customer they way he did you could rest assured I would he having a serious talk with them. Unfortunately Google wont allow you to rate below one star otherwise theyd be in the negative. If you go to this U-haul and are greated by Tajh I suggest you ask for someone else. If there is anyone from the company reading this I suggest you take a look at other comments and you can clearly see the problem is Tajh King.

Takes a little bit to get the one employee who can check you in or out, but overall service is good. This location is very big, and also offers a large selection of moving materials to buy as well as storage facilities.

Beautiful customer service and the trucks are very clean.

I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! The staffs were really rude and the service was horrible. I highly recommend that you rent the truck from another branch. If you have chosen this place already, be prepared for a possible fight with the impolite staff.

Storage units are disgusting. Mice feces that the store manager told me could be from squirrels. I also saw 2 roaches in one visit! Manager wanted to assure me there was no pest control problem... All they could do is have orkin come in and spray outside my storage. I asked with my permission can Orkin go in and spray the inside of the unit I was advised no. I asked if I could have Orkin come in myself and was advised no. So I will be moving my belongings because at $160 a month this is unacceptable.*Update*The issue was resolved so I will update by previous rating.

They definitely need some customer service training. When I arrived to pick up my truck I asked to confirm that I was getting a 17 truck... They told me they didnt have any left and that they had been booked up for weeks. I showed them my reservation confirmation and they were still rude. Turns out when I actually walked out to get in the truck it was in fact a 17ft truck and those guys are just unprofessional and dont really care.

The store manager was rude and very un-professional. I had reserved a trailer for pick up had a reservation number and he stated he did not have the trailer. I requested that he help me with something else. He said you could go to Genesee rod location and get the trailer. I asked again what was he going to do to resolve this he said nothing because I disrespected him. I was on tight schedule and needed trailer. I had even verified the location that morning. After basically being told that I am SOL. I went to 1400 Genessee rd location they could not have been nicer. I was stuck and needed the trailer. I will rent from U-haul but will never rent from this location again.

Their customer service leaves much to be desired. Particularly the Manager, who already seemed bothered by me before I even asked my question. Then when I followed up with a call to the customer service center (which this manager was quick to refer me to), the representative I ended up being transferred to was just as apathetic that it bordered on rude. My move to Buffalo just a year ago was seamless when I used Penske and the only reason I booked a Uhaul this time around (a month in advance) is because it was slightly closer to my apartment than Penske....turns out I shouldve just stuck with Penske because I just found out that my Uhaul reservation was changed this morning (note: 48hrs prior to my scheduled pickup) and noone bothered to inform me of this change until I happened to walk in to check on the reservation earlier. Now I have to pick it up 30 mins away. In their defense, the site does state that customers only select their PREFERRED pick-up location, but I still think one deserves a courtesy call when your preferred location is switched to 20 miles out. Terrible customer service. Lesson learned: stick with the brand/company you trust. And for me, Penske is it. So much so that I feel the need to write them an awesome review now that I have a comparison. Do better Uhaul.
