This was my first time here, I was referred here by my old stylist that move out-of-town. I love African Hair Braiding by Divine Star! She is really kind and nice and braided my hair like I asked and these microbraids have honestly been THE BEST microbraids I have ever had! The best in Buffalo by far! I have been to a lot of shops in Buffalo, but she has the best work I have seen. Some peoples microbraids look OK, but her microbraids look polished and well-done. I microbraid my hair a lot since they are easy to manage for school/work. The microbraids look so full on my head, close together, and look really crisp and sharp. She braids very well and does very good work. No complaints at all. She is amazing and I would highly recommend her!!!! Im so happy I came here, I love how my hair came out !! You will have NO regrets coming here; your hair will come out right. High quality work. I highly recommend her

Absolutely love my hair! Iris took her time and executed the exact hairstyle I wanted. She made sure i was happy with the results throughout the whole process. I drove out from Rochester just to get my hair done by her and was not disappointed. Such a nice woman and will definitely be returning to get my hair done again.

I absolutely love her braiding technique. Divine Star is not only the name of her shop, it is what she represents. I get so many compliments on my braids- I have had long box braids, now I am rocking shoulder length. I will go no where else for braids. Period.

I enjoyed getting my hair braided today. She did an amazing job, took her time ( especially because my hair is short), the environment was very clean and I felt at home. We had conversations just like we meet before. Overall experience was great, I would recommend anyone. I have now found myself and my daughter a great hair stylist.

IRIS!!! Where do I start. Came in town to visit with family after paying $260 and having hair destroyed by “so called” Braider back in Maryland. Hair was braided for only a couple days before half my braids fell out. Found Iris by the luck of God for my sister online and she laid her hair out!! It was PERFECT!! Iris fit me in the day I landed. TODAY!! God is good ALL THE TIME and RIGHT ON TIME. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly, clean and comfortable environment, no need to look anymore. Iris is the REAL DEAL. I’m super excited to see that my hometown has stepped its game up when it comes to essential and specific stylists. Grateful and super blessed!!

Iris is not only qualified but nice to do business with. Previous experiences with other braiders were unprofessional and overpriced! Too often you have someone provide you a service and their attitude can deter you from coming back, that is not the case with Iris. My appointment didnt exactly go according to plan but she was as accommodating as she could be, as was I with her. Ill be coming back, thank you Iris!

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever went through in all my life, I had bad headache she was pulling the edges and all my hair out my scalp. She didn’t do what I asked gave me big braids instead of small ones. Didn’t last because she braid my hair way too tight. You can tell she didn’t want to do it. I’ve never experienced this type of service. The environment was at her house in a small room and smell weird. Next time if you can’t do someone hair properly then don’t do it. Rather travel to New York City then pay for someone to do my hair incorrectly and on the phone all the time.FYI it’s really not funny cause I take pride in growing my hair so for you basically pulling at my roots is ridiculous. 2nd time went there and it was a terrible/worst mistake I’ve ever made!!!

Found Divine Star from google and I was successfully able to book my appt within a week or so. Had my appt today and I love my hair. Divine is very talented, she listens to what you want and your expectations of how you hope it turns out. She’s very passionate behind her work and it speaks for itself. Highly recommend her. Don’t look anymore. You will be very pleased with her work.

My experience was not pleasant. Iris talked on the phone 3 hrs while doing my hair with little conversation. Was not satisfied with end result. She also kept my hair I purchased. Please work on customer service. Doing hair is much more than getting in someones head.
