Took a week with my laptop for a virus removal and replacement of the fan. I’m now locked out of certain files in my laptop and have lost years worth of important material. The laptop also continues to overheat. I would not go to John he refused to do anything and just swore at me

PC Expanders is by far the best computer repair company in Buffalo. They are honest and do the work quickly and for the price they state. I know their policy is if they cant fix it, they wont charge you. Try finding that any where else.Its too bad only the complainers rate businesses

This is a good place to take your computer if you want it destroyed. Owner claims hes been in the business over 20 years and yet he acts like a complete juvenile. When I called him to explain that I was having problems with my machine after he worked on it he basically said it was my fault and then yelled at me when I insisted I bring it in for him to take a second look. Needless to say he did not look at the machine again. He is old and doesnt understand the complexity of use of machines for small business or graduate level research and education. He believes people only use their computers to get online and send email. When I explained my computer was not working the way I needed it to he told me I should be happy that I can still get online. Graduate students beware. Had over $1,000 of software and two years of research data wiped from my laptop when I brought it in for a simple malware removal. I firmly believe it is because he was unfamiliar with the software and the file type of the data output. Owner refused to take responsibility. He manipulated my partitioned hard drive without me asking, things are deleted I can never get back. I get locked out of random file locations in my own machine, the permissions are all screwy, Im completely unable to write or use macros anymore, just totally botched up my machine and will not fix it or compensate me. I ended up completely reformatting the hard drive myself which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. I had to report him to the Business Bureau and still nothing was done about it. Suck it up and go to Best Buy.

Excellent, the man I delt with was to the point and got my computer done in one day instead of two like he said. The price was better then the other chain places like geek squad of Bestbuy or another place. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Went in there to get my charge port looked at to see if it was what was causing me problems. The guy took my charger and came back after a minute and said it must be my charge port and I would need to spend 139 dollars to get it fixed. He didnt even look at my computer. Went somewhere else, turns out my charger was the problem and my charge port is just fine.So, yeah, they basically tried to cheat me out of 140$ without even looking at my computer to see what the problem was.

Trustworthy and FriendlyI brought my laptop in because it was overheating. The guys at PC Expanders discovered it was dirty and cleaned it for free. Geeksquad wouldnt even look at it and wanted to ship it somewhere that would take 6-8 weeks.When my girlfriends laptop stopped working I brought it to PC Expanders. Ultimately the motherboard was unable to be repaired however, they attempted to replace some of the parts and when that didnt work they did not charge me for the parts or labor.I will be coming back for any future computer issues.

Terrible, terrible place. Received yelling, swearing and was told to get the F**K out after asking if he can match the price to other stores which where charge A LOT cheaper. I wouldnt recommend anyone dealing John. He has no idea how a computer works and is old. He thinks a computer is only for getting on the internet. no experience, terrible, rude, overpriced, etc.

Would rate 0 stars if possible. I was very polite in speaking to the technician, but only received yelling, swearing, and bitter judgement. Stay away, if youd like to be spoken to with some tact.
