I have nothing but good to say about this place. David, the owner is an honest man who does the job without trying to cheat you. He makes sure to provide you with quality service. He also accommodates to your schedule . I refuse to go anywhere else.

This is a good, honest shop. I have been here, and referred others including my daughter. Any negative reviews here are clearly from people that do not understand cars, or the automotive repair industry. Parts will always cost more at a shop because they are assuming liability if the part fails. This also means they wont be using that super-cheap part from autozone. They want the repair to last and cheap parts fail more often.

We are very unhappy with the service we have received at Davids shop. We have been going to this shop for quite some time, but due to the dishonesty and unprofessionalism we will no longer return. The fact that we were told by his shop that our battery was bad, and then we are driving around with the same battery 7 months later, speaks volume on professionalism. This is one issue of so many more.

I have gone to Davids a couple of times for auto repair and an oil change. Ive always been impressed with their pleasant customer service and integrity. I received a text today after the technician told me what was wrong with the car to explain the problem. It even included a picture of the issue! They were busy today, but I felt like they treated everyone there with dignity and respect. No one was rushed out the door so they could help the next person. They were thorough and kind with each customer. Very impressed!

David’s Starr was extremely professional and honest in their diagnosis of the problem with my vehicle. Due to the part being a dealer only part, they were not able to make the repair, but this was certainly not their fault. They made an accurate diagnosis of the problem which was still very helpful and I would highly recommend them and will definitely use their service again if ever needed.

Cheap labor but staff was rude to my wife and they didnt put everything back together on her car after checking things they werent asked to, causing me grief having to check her cabin air filter because they left the access door for it open making excess noise with the blower fan on. You can drop your car off, leave your keys in the key-drop, and give them a call the next day to let them know what youre looking for. Always friendly, and they do good work. Not a whole lot more you can ask for.2) response to John Mingles review, from 2 weeks ago --> Ive been trusting Davids Star Auto for about 2 years now. They are absolutely 100% not a womans shop (by John Mingles description of a shop where women or those not familiar with cars are taken advantage of, which is pretty sexist by the way). Im an engineer by trade, and a shade tree mechanic by hobby. Ive designed and serviced industrial machines and control systems for 15 years, wrenched on cars and trucks in the yard for 20. That said, I can tell you this about Davids Star Auto - I trust them, implicitly. Theyve done good work, and I have always gotten what Ive asked for and expected. Ive never had a problem. I send my childrens vehicles there, my mothers vehicles, and my wifes vehicles. Weve got a gambit - from a brand new SUV to 20+ year old pick-up trucks, and everything in between. If the other reviewer had stated that he had a part fail or something like that, I may have believed him - parts fail sometimes - thats just life, and has nothing to do with the shop or the people doing the work. But to go after the character and integrity of a shop thats got an owner who does half the wrenching himself, conducts himself and his business with the highest quality of character and integrity... not a chance. Davids Star Auto - specifically because of David himself - is the kind of shop where if they ever did make a mistake, they would fix it. Not only would they fix it, but they would also tell you, just because thats the right thing to do.

Terrible, triple A brought my car to this shop,And no one told me the diagnosis was going to be 100 dollars.When I finally spoke to them for the first time, they told me to fix my car it was gonna be 750, but after looking online and speaking to other mechanics I could have my car fixed for less than 500So I told them I wanted my car back home and they tried to charge me 100 dollars for diagnosis, that no one spoke to me about. I didnt even tell the shop to touch my car, they did it on their own accord and charged me an amount I didnt agree to.And the guy was rude about it. All he wanted was money from me. Not to genuinely help me.Would never come here or recommend to anyone

Warm and fuzzy that my vehicles are well taken care of

I brought my car in for service last Friday for cv axle replacement. The axle costs 80.00 anywhere with life time guarantee. They charged me 160.00 for the part. When i went to pick my car up, there was a small puddle. Thought it was just due to work done. But not so. The next morning i drove my car out to the southern tier. Lost all power steering fluid begore springville. Had to turn around. It was obvious that they ceacked piwer steering libe while replacing. Took to them monday morning. They wanted 200.00 to fix their damage. I jacked it up myself and fixed for1.50. Started to drive my car again and noticed there was another leak coming from the transmission seal. Leaking like a siv. After researching I found out this happens when a torch is used. I called david with my concern, he blew me off but was willing to fix seal they broke for only 1500.00. Wil be posting complete video on youtube. When video shows melted seal, I will be suing them. This car never dripped a drop til it went to Davids shop. His shop is a womans shop. Most women have no idea that hes robbing and overcharging. Thank god my wife is smart. He said he couldnt use the axle i had just to double the price for his. Which was a lie.
