We had our 29th wedding anniversaries at this hotel. This is a great place to come to relax for one or two days... the breakfast buffet was great.... will return again someday..... thank you for the great service....
Upon pulling up I was a little concerned. The landscaping hasn’t been done in a very long time and the building almost looked abandoned. The tennis courts and court yard was completely over grown and not taken care of. We decided to take a chance. Thankfully the room was good and clean. Staff was very friendly upon check in/out. My only other issue was they had a very large party of kids and our room was down from the pool so it was none stop running down the hallway screaming and yelling all day Saturday. Thankfully it calmed down by bedtime. All in all it was a good stay. Maintenance and landscaping is definitely needed though and like everywhere else they had a sign up for hiring all of these positions so understandable.
Had a good time. Staff was friendly and rooms were nice. But the indoor pool was too cold. Sue F
Can tell the hotel needs some maintenance. Several of the external doors dont work so we had to walk a good length of the building to get from the car to your room.Had a cricket in our room. The front desk staff moved us without issue.Breakfast in a bag was a nice add on. They mentioned due to low staff hot breakfast wasnt available.Good price for the stay. Cant beat!
Nice affordable clean spacious room with pool (not heated) and gym. Would recommend 👌
Nice rooms. comfortable beds. But many negative situations. No food in hotel, although several references state that there is. Beautiful indoor pool, reason chose this property, but pool is a very long walk through hotel. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms.
The front desk who helped us were very nice, courteous and friendly. We even had free breakfast buffet. The only issue is the bathroom is so tight and space is small that its hard to fit 2 people. But cleanliness was great!
Nice, clean rooms. Very relaxed environment. Polite, helpful staff.
The hotel was very nice and clean and quiet. It’s very nice to stay there and the beds are very comfy. This place is awesome to stay at. From the customer service to the cleanliness of the room, all perfect.
Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly. Only suggestion for improvement is areas outside of room could use a little freshening up. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was amazing. ANDREW took amazing care of us. Rooms were huge and comfortable. Very quiet and the breakfast in the morning was perfect.
I stayed here for a weekend trip to see a friend. The hotel was fairly nice. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. We had a great stay overall. My only complaints are there is no shuttle to the Metra and the pool was pretty cold.
Very nice affordable clean rooms. They have an outside courtyard with tables. Balconies look over, or if you’re on the 1st floor you can simply walk out the sliding glass doors. Plenty of pillows, bed was clean and comfy. Large flatscreen TVs with plenty of good choices of channels to choose from. I had an adjoining king room, the kids had double queen in the next. Very convenient. They have a pool and workout room. Free breakfast from 7am-11am. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels, yogurt, bananas, waffles, French toast, orange juice, cranberry juice, milk, water, coffee and cereal. The cook was very friendly. The food was good, hot and fresh. There are plenty of tables for your family to find a place to sit. Buffet style dining then you seat yourself. Booths or tables, or go back to your room. I found this great deal on Groupon. Close to Walmart, restaurants, and the highway. 45 minute drive to downtown Chicago. Nice suburban neighborhood.
I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. We should have known when we pulled up to the unkempt landscaping, cracked walkway, and paint in disrepair. The interior leaves quite a bit to be desired as well: it is musty and outdated and also in disrepair. The front desk staff was rude and passive aggressive. The rooms were clean and the ac worked in them. It didn’t work in the lobby and it was hot!I would steer clear of this place even if you have to pay a little extra.
I loved the whole experience. Me and my group were there for the weekend for my brothers wedding, which was at another location. The second day, the cable was out and the manager comped the room for us
Positive: Lots of space Negative: Charge for breakfast.
When we arrived, we were notified that the building was recently hit by lightning and the cable wasnt working. It was fine since we were only staying for one night. This is an old building that needs some serious work. The shower took a long time to get hot and there were tiles falling down.
Check in was quick and easy. My room was great. Would definitely go again
Evening front desk clerk was outstanding. Very friendly, efficient and helpful. Answered all my questions and promptly provided assistance when necessary. Excellent customer service.
Positive: The size of the room. Negative: Landscape needs a lot of work.
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The lobby and facilities were nice. The unfortunate nature of COVID however, caused them to shut the dining area. Instead of breakfast, we were each given a paper lunch sack with a bottle of water, a granola bar, a child’s squeeze pouch of applesauce and a cup of Kurig coffee.I’m sorry how this pandemic has changed the industry, these 16 months but, if you would have just given each person a $10 voucher for someplace local, or reduce the stay by $10 per person, it would have been less insulting. While we are accustomed to change, a large number of people are vaccinated and know the protocols. It may be time to start the reopening process, here.
Positive: Nothing Negative: No room cleaning, no fresh towels. Landscape around the hotel was weeds.
Hi I love this hotel I alway come here a lot all the people in front is so nice to me and kind but from my experience from yesterday there is just African-American lady it’s very disrespectful she is new I have never seen her before and when I want to make a reservation she told me that she can’t she is closing down her computer or something she was very rude and give disrespectful. I ordered it on Groupon and she said I cannot check and to 3:30 PM so I said can I make a reservation and walk in and she said no I cannot she told me to leave or she will call the police. This is not right for business this is not how you do customer care. I want to report her to the manager. From my experience I will never wanna see her again when I go there I would still go there if she’s not there
I booked a room with two beds and received a room with one. I tried calling the front desk several times and no one picked up. We eventually walked back to the front desk and had to wait in line just to be told they would call us if two beds became available. We never heard back from the front desk and had to call yet again and were told they were booked and nothing else was available. Needless to say, we were not pleased. Do yourself a favor and dont stay at this location.
Very nice stay. Clean hotel and the staff is very friendly. Peaceful relaxing stay.
Extremely poor service by staff - Mary at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming upon arrival. Wifi also does not work as advertised. Do not recommend staying here and will not return.
Some of the best customer service Ive ever had felt welcome from the time I walked in to the time I got to my room
Some small bugs in room biting and irritating me all night. Killed 1 the morning I woke up, on pillow next to me. 😫😡
Positive: Met my needs, clean and hotel employee was hospitable and friendly. Negative: Evening lady working Saturday night didnt understand english very well.
Customer service is a foreign concept. Errors made by staff were not corrected at great personal cost to me. Avoid this property. They charged my personal card for my entire stay (12 nights) even though it had been prepaid by my employer. The person making this mistake insisted it wasn’t her problem. The manager made no effort to correct issue. Their complete lack of knowledge of even their own systems (Reservation tracking and payment accounting) shows and I’m the one who had to pay for their errors. When explaining the mistake to management he would not stop interrupting me to explain how it wasn’t his problem. At the time of this review I am still owed $1100 that they’ve tied up due to their issues incompetence. This has been going on for three days now.
This is my go to for stay cations always clean! And bed is very comfortable as well as the pillows!
Positive: Just OK
This is a smaller hotel. Two levels. Its nice for business or for fun, girls trip, just relaxing. You can take your kids to the pool on the weekend. Super affordable. Theres a restaurant that opens at 5:00pm as well as the bar. There is a nice restaurant across the parking lot if you dont want to wait. The pool is fine. The hot tub was out but Im sure theyll be getting that fixed soon. The staff is superb and friendly. The rooms are nice and beds are comfy. They have patio rooms that I loved being able to go outside. Very nice hotel. Nice area.
Positive: Location Negative: No
Second time staying here. Liked it so much first time, loved it this time. Great service, immaculate clean rooms, hallways, courtyard etc.etc. ... front desk so helpful and friendly.
Everything was excellent! I hosted a business meeting with about 30 attendees with most coming from out of town and I couldnt have been more pleased with the meeting room, guest rooms, cleanliness, the breakfast that was included (they make omelettes to order!) and the audio visual for our meeting. Everything was as smooth as could be at a super-fair price too. Stacey Smith helped get everything set up and made it all easy-peasy. Well be coming back for sure.
Nice location and helpful staff. Lots of parking, nice pool and lots of meeting space. 2nd floor rooms have vaulted ceilings and make the rooms feel huge. The breakfast buffet is NOT included with the room price. Lots of dining choices in the area and close access to lots of running or walking trails. The biggest con is the layout of the hotel itself making it very hard to locate rooms and making it easy to get lost.
Our decision to stay at this facility was last minute as we had not planned to stay overnight in Chicago. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the facility. The staff was professional and attentive. No complaints here.
I do have one person to recognize that went above and beyond the call of duty, Ayana. I believe Ayana was part of the cleaning staff, I had unexpected car trouble and needed a jump start. She went to several people asking for jumper cables and asked your other employees if they had some. We able to come up with some and she personally used her car to help me out. She should be recognized for being a top notch employee, she is a valued person and Four Point Sheraton Buffalo Grove is lucky to have her.
We came into town on a family matter and our stay was pretty good. Breakfast was great as was the morning service. The bar closed a bit early and the service there seemed stressed if there was more than a handful of people. Overall though its a nice hotel exactly where we needed one.
Nice and clean hotel for a reasonable price!
This hotel was very nice! It was extremely clean and smelt great. It didn’t have that usual unpleasant hotel smell. The room I stayed in was very basic but exactly what I was looking for. The bedding was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was great. The water got to perfect temperature almost instantaneously. The pool was nice and quiet without any kids around. It was also very clean. They had an abundance of towels that could be used. The hot tub is permanently closed which is unfortunate. I had only booked one night but I elected to extend my stay by one night and the woman at the front desk made that SO easy! All I had to do was ask! I would highly recommend this hotel.
The breakfast buffet was good - a chef makes eggs & omelets to order. The two courtyards were a pleasant place to spend a few minutes reading. Two bottles of water were gratis. King bed was comfortable. The shower was very good. The room was of a generous size, though some space seemed unused and wasted. Staff was generally pleasant and responsive. Amenities include a beautiful indoor pool, outdoor seating areas, and coin laundry. The room lighting was rather dim and made the room feel dark. A make-up mirror in the bathroom would have been appreciated. The hotel WiFi was free but inadequate and slow. I would have liked more fruit on the breakfast buffet, especially berries. There was only one elevator, meaning climbing stairs or walking long corridors to/from lobby and parking. A sofa or loveseat would have made the room seem better decorated.
Clean well appointed hotel. Has an ongoing problem with WiFi connectivity in rooms which in todays world is vital. Its well known by staff but doesnt seem to be very important to them. Sort of a shrug and Yeah, we know response. Nice breakfast but theyre not good about making sure that hot food in self service part is hot. Bacon and sausage refill found to be at room temp. Would fail inspection. Found it to be true on two mornings

Staff is really nice and helpful.Rooms are comfy and clean.I was surprised how much breakfast cost and it wasnt included. Also pool was cold.Overall I would come back here and stay if we could use the pool.
If you need somewhere to stay- okay. But keep looking if you’re not in a crunch or going to one of the corporate buildings near by. My room only had semi-warm water despite letting it run for several minutes. Toilet flushed every other time I tried- despite having it serviced because it was broken when I arrived. Don’t waste your money on the in-house breakfast. This location is not close to very much so I would recommend renting a car and going anywhere else for food. The fridge is a good size so you can bring food back with you. Fitness center is updated and well kept. Maid service is very good.
Positive: Great hotel and room
The wait staff and the front desk staff are incredible. I have stayed here three separate times for a week each with no complaints. However, after my last stay, randomly and 2 months later, I had the whole weak charged again after being settled up months prior. That wasnt even the problem. I thought it was a simple mistake. It should have been. After several calls for several weeks and getting their corporate office involved, I never received a return phone call from either of the two managers. I did receive a partial refund for the overcharge. And still no phone call.
One of the best and affordable hotels we’ve stayed at. I highly recommend this place.
We stayed with the LEGOLAND package. We could have easily made our trip in a day but wanted to make it extra special for our kids. The pool water was cold and when brought to the staffs attention, they seemed bothered that we thought it was an issue and left it unaddressed. The beds were comfortable so traveling for business would have been fine but if you’re there to use the amenities, choose a different hotel!
Staff is quite friendly
Top floor rooms are nice. Love that you can crack the windows for fresh air. Food wasnt to bad but not a good buffet selection for the cost. Had issues with the TV but they took care of it right away
Stayed at this hotel a few times. It is a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the big city, no matter where you are coming from. Overall, a pleasant stay - quiet, not overly crowded and clean. Nice breakfast buffet for around $15 p/p.A couple notes for the management: the water in the pool feels too cold. Far from comfortable. I noticed that every time I stayed at the hotel. We were thankful there was a whirlpool to warm up a bit.Secondly (and not too big of a deal) - the microwave next to those coffee jugs in the breakfast area was very dirty inside, with stains and traces of old food. A quick wipe would do the trick. Otherwise, good stay.
The hotel was fine, plenty of parking, staff was excellent. The pool was small, but they had one, indoor even. Great bar at the driveway entrance for food and drinks. Beware, the breakfast is not included, we found this out after sitting down with friends and eating, there is a small note nailed to the wall over the coffee bar alluding to this, no mention of it at check in. Our mistake for assuming it was part of the stay, but it isnt.
Great staff and clean rooms. Only giving 3 stars because there is no wifi, most tv channels dont come in and there is no microwave in the rooms.
I stayed at this hotel while in Buffalo Grove for a family members funeral. The hotel is spotless, and the room very comfortable. What made my visit so exceptional however, was the kindness of the staff. Andrew Parrillo, Lew, Kaycee and others were so good to me during this time. The first night here my rental car got stuck in the snow. One of the staff members helped to rescue me. The next day I got a care package and a card signed by staff due to the sad reason for my visit. I have stayed in many hotels around the country, but never one as kind as this one. Thank you, Four Points by Sheraton. Very appreciated . . .
The location is good, close to lots of options for food, shopping & the location where I had to go for work. The room decor was good, my only point deduction was for the lighting in the room, I found in spite of the 2 bedside, desk & floor lamps the lack of an overhead/central lighting made the room a little dark, it was difficulty to see some of my clothing colors even with all the lamp lights on. Nice variety for breakfast food choices including made to order omelettes (regular & egg white), pastries, toast hot & dry cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt & juices, would definitely stay here again if Im in the area

This is a great location if you like to go for a run or walk. Around the Buffalo Grove Golf Course is approximately 2 miles, add another mile if you go around Willow Stream Park, and about 7 miles to the Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve. Nice and quiet property with friendly staff at the front desk.Great location for watching the 4th of July firework.
Booked a night here just to get away for a night and have no complaints! Location might be hard to find without a GPS as it is set back from the road behind a lake but I did okay with my phone navigation. Lots of restaurants and shopping a short drive away. Woman at the front desk was nice and helpful. The lobby was pretty lively when I got there. Room was nice and clean. Very comfortable and large bed. Bathroom wasnt anything special but it was clean. A nice 3-star hotel!
My wedding was in Buffalo Grove at Astoria Banquets and it was suggested that I came to the Four Points Sheraton. Lew and Dana took special care of me, my husband and all of my guests! We had an amazing time and they made sure I felt special. Their staff was amazing! Wonderful! Clean hotel, great food and bar, and amazing service!
I will stay here next time
My stay was excellent. When I arrived earlier than check-in time (3 P.M. ) I was warmly greeted and given a room, as requested, away from the ice machine, elevator and ambient street noise. While breakfast wasnt included in the room rate I was happy to pay the extra $10 @ day during my stay to have the convenience of breakfast in the hotel. On my first morning, I was surprised to learn that the breakfast, if I wanted, included made to order eggs/omelets. There were plenty of other choices and the service was friendly and prompt. The only downside was the lighting in the room at night.
The company I work for always books rooms here for when we go to training classes in this area. It is like a home away from home for me. The daily breakfasts are delicious! The staff is always friendly and 100% accommodating!
Very clean. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Quiet.
Hassle free check-in even we arrived late. Room given as reserved. Room will look nicer with updates. I find location safe to stay. We just stayed for a night but overall can use this hotel for future reservations.
Bring your own pillows and a WiFi hot spot. Absolutely terrible connectivity, won’t hold any connection for more than 10 minutes. Softest pillows I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Better to rent a car and stay farther away.
We chose this place to stay because it was near where our friends live. Due to a 12 hour flight delay, we arrived in the early morning. The clerk had already rearranged our reservation and offered to extend our checkout time so we could sleep late. This all worked out really well. It was also a quick 20 ride from O’hare Airport.
Very clean, along with good service.
Best experience! Great staff! Great Hotel! We just stayed at this hotel and celebrated my sons birthday. The pool was very clean and the staff went above and beyond to make our guest feel welcomed. Thank you Four Points by Sheraton! Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
Not a bad choice, decent location. We stayed two nights, and commented that the toilet was not flushing properly, and that the housekeeping services after the first night were far from thorough......we had coffee in the room the first morning, and neither the cups nor the coffee itself were replaced for the second morning, as well as a used wine glass was not removed from the room. The two towels that had been used were replaced with just one. More irratating still was that the front desk seemed completely unconcerned with these comments. FYI we were in room 2216.Other than that, the breakfast looked quite good, so u might want that included in your booking. There is a bar in the lobby, while was open until 10pm. Thats a nice feature. Theres a heated indoor pool which we were hopeful we would get to use, but never did.I guess if the price is tight, overall, I might stay here again, but there are quite a few other choices nearby.
AVOID! It started with a long process of checking in and getting the room key. It was late and I was tired. I smiled and was happy to finally receive my room key. I parked and when inside my room. There were clothes on the and I heard someone taking a shower. I got out of there FAST. It could have been a bad situation. I went back to the desk and they had no idea that someone was in the room. Um, what? I was given another room. When I got there, the beds were not made up. The rooms and halls were dirty. The Internet did not work in my room. Breakfast is not free and way too expensive for what you get. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. I recommend that you find something else. On a bright note, the staff was generally friendly.
The Four Points in Buffalo Grove is one of the nicest Hotels in the area for its price range. The hotel staffs are cordial, friendly, and attentive to your needs during the stay. The hotel rooms are decent size and kept very clean.
Andrew and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make a difficult stay for me as easy as possible. I was in town for a family funeral, and was there by myself. They gave me a signed sympathy card and a care package of things that really helped me get through the day, such as Tylenol and snacks. I was so appreciative. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Thank you for taking such good care of me during a very hard time.

Now for the price it’s an acceptable hotel. The staff are friendly the beds are nice. But don’t think you are going to come here and it’s a 4 or 5 star**** hotel however I paid $70 through priceline. I arrived early for the taste of Chicago and my friends do not come until tomorrow I needed something quick, clean and inexpensive and that’s what I got. Oh and the bartender is really nice
Our experience was great! Staff was nice and accommodating. We had a lot of rooms for our wedding and no one had any issues checking in. Love the courtyards they are great!
From first encountering the front desk staff to all other members of the team at this Four Points, I was impressed. Every employee I encountered was checking to see what they could do to make my stay better. I appreciated the care provided.
We have been booking our business trips through this hotel for years, seem like the service and quality has gone downhill, more reservation mess ups And poor service has had me to decided to make a review. Some issues we had: Cleaning crew didn’t come till 4pm, morning breakfast is 14$ and most of the time cold or rock hard for anything other than the omelets. Gratuity not included signs everywhere, but no waiter comes to table other than to collect plates. Booked reservations two months ahead of time but in there system, for wrong days, but they honored my reservation as I luckily had a printout of my reservation on a conformation email. They said they where booked up I do not think they would have honored it without. Better hotels with better service are located close by. Will be booking elsewhere in the future
This is a great clean nice older property. It is very close to a pretty good restaurant for a quick bite on the go, the staff was very pleasant and the room/property give you a feeling of “warm and cozy”. Definitely recommend and will be back.
Business stay the staff is great the dinning service is great would be nice to have more food options on the menu. The breakfast is really good and along with the service. GM introduces himself and his presence is known, front desk is super friendly.
Property is newly renovated. Received SPG platinum recognition. Great breakfast buffet with reasonable price and friendly staff. Room was of good size. Property was clean with great indoor pool. Good hotel choice for families looking for reasonably priced NW a Chicago property.
Convienent location for Chicago North and Western Suburbs clean. Fitness equipment works fine! Also has a craft beer specialty small bar.
Very disappointed in our stay. The hotel itself is just fine however, housekeeping well does the hotel have it? Was in town for a Naval graduation at Great Lakes. Upon returning the first night the beds were not made and had to go to the front desk for towels. They apologized and said our room would be taken care of promptly the next morning. We left early the next morning to spend the day with my son. We returned late the second night to the beds still not made and had to go to the front desk again for towels and toiletries. I was upset at this point that housekeeping had skipped our room for the second time. I explained to the clerk at the front desk upon check out the next morning that I was extremely disappointed in the lack of service. I was assured the manager would be told and would call me asap. It is now five days after check out and still no phone call or email. Hopefully if you stay at this place they will provide you better service.
This hotel is extremely nice. The breakfast was incredible. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a great stay at an adorable price.
Celebrated our granddaughter Birth Day Party, kids like the pool, the rooms, the food. Very clean and very friendly atmosphere.Neena Mendoza from sales department was very helpful and took all my worries about celebration away, because we had a lot of guests and I was not sure how its be handled. Also Michael Powell was very nice with the dinner served.Definitely will be back again!!!!
Great place to stay. They did a great upgrade. I stayed there 2 years ago and i did not like it at all. But with the remodel the beds are great. Plus the internet in the room is super fast
If you’re staying for business, just count on lousy internet connectivity, an non-functioning business center, and poor food. Very disappointing.
Sherri (front desk) was amazing so professional, caring, and accommodating. Our London flight was cancelled and she welcomed us at 1am so pleasantly. Santos from the restaurant was so attentive. Thank you both!
Nice hotel from Lobby entrance to staff members. Everyone I meet or saw was happy and friendly. Rooms spacious and comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast food was the usual, but they have a chef that prepares omelets for you on the spot.
Great rooms, great food and fantastic staff. Definitely will be staying here in the future if come back for business or pleasure
Very impressed with the whole experience. I wish I had found this hotel two years ago. Nice spacious rooms, very clean, very comfy bed. Staff was upbeat, professional and helpful. Breakfast was made to order. I’ll be back!
We checked in late due to being in town for the Hollywood Connection convention, held at a different location. We had a great room and never did hear others in the hallway. We plan on staying here again but including more relaxing and not so much running.
Very nice and clean hotel. Booked last minute and they were very nice to accommodate our microwave request. Breakfast is paid $13.5 per person. Location is very good and is next to county tavern which is very good as well. Front desk is nice. Swimming pool is good and clean. The jetted spa tub has a sign of closed permanently. It said wifi paid on the website but it was free. Multiple doors to get in so you park very close to your room. Inall great place if near Chicago area.
Love this hotel. Close enough to points of interests, nice rooms, but comparatively cheap.
Upon check in Front desk manager was snotty, not the most welcoming. As our stay continued he became nicer and nicer, all other staff was great. Room was entered once without a knock but person immediately left when they saw occupants. First room we were checked into the floor was soaked in front of the air conditioner. About 4 square feet of drenched carpet. Room was moved next door and all was fine. All rooms looked alike, pretty basic, small bathroom. Stayed here with a large group for a wedding; bride and groom could have been accommodated better. Priceline booking was easy and a great deal.
