They were polite and professional. I didnt have to wait long. My dog was taken care of right away. The check up and x-rays were done quickly. They reviewed their findings with me which went very well. My dog is happy, healthy and she is enjoying her walks and being outdoors now.Highly recommended.

I have been driving by this place for years and never noticed it until a couple at the grocery store overheard me talking about needing a new vet. They were gushing over the doctor here. There isnt a lot of staff here but the help was very kind and they seemed to care but it was very busy. The vet explained everything to me from the perspective of American and Chinese medicine. He was great about stopping and making sure I got it all. Very relatable. I liked all the different options he offered for treatment. Huge change from our previous vet who kept giving antibiotics and steroids. So the appointment all in all was a 5. I would only chip away at them for having fewer staff. But since my dog is 100% better now it’s a 5 star. Thanks!

I was sort of a lurker when it came to holistic medicine but I had to do something because no one else could treat my senior dog. So I ended up coming here and it dialed back the clock at least 4 years. I really appreciate Dr Carlson. Very smart doctor.

Dr Carlson is a warm, caring, skilled vet. I cant recommend him highly enough for both the care hes given our pets and his humanity helping us through 3 hospice situations over the last three years. He combines traditional veterinary medicine and holistic remedies when appropriate. The staff takes their lead from Dr Carlson. They know what theyre doing and know how to make you feel cared for and welcome. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Carlson and his staff!

I took my dog here after reading about the holistic. It was good. I had to wait but I didnt know they took appointments only. The doctor saw Sam anyway. He had a laser treatment and a xray. He’s getting better and we had to go back for more laser. I liked it.

I have been taking my four-legged children to Grove animal hospital for over six years. Very clean and well maintained hospital. The staff was very patient and gentle in handling my pets. Dr. Carlson offered me holistic treatment options, as well as traditional options. I love having options! The combination of both styles of treatments has been the best for my pets.

I couldn’t be any more pleased. I am so grateful for Dr. Carlson and his staff. They are a perfect match for my pets and I. We travel 2 hours and always look forward to the knowledge and healing taken away from our visits. Thank you for going above and beyond the norm!

Probably the best clinic you can go to in Buffalo Grove, open 24 hours. Obvious plus. Also, the vets I encountered were extremely knowledgeable and empathetic. You get what you pay for here. My dog fell ill to a tumor on his adrenal. They got rid of it and nursed him back to 100%. As I said, you get what you pay for I would thank Dr. Carlson and his team. :)

I wish I, myself, could be a patient! My sweet little Belle was on her last legs when we saw Dr Carlson. I think she knew he was special because she immediately took to him and seemed even happy to meet him! Within hours and then days her improvement was amazing. I tell everyone about him!

I must be grateful to Dr. Carlson and his team. They helped my Billi with great care. They know their work. I believe they will keep helping pet lover with such care and love.

After almost a year of my cat being worst and worst with her allergies I decided to go hollistic. It has been almost 3 months and my cat no longer itches, scratches, and gets depressed! The only reason I give a 4 star it is because the wait to see the doctor its too long....but he is great so I guess its worth waiting for.

Dr. James was great...once we saw him. I was scheduled for a 3pm and they didn’t see us for over an hour. After that I never saw him again. His staff made the aftercare appts and made us wait up to 45 mins each time. I finally walked out when they started putting other clients in front of us. Very unprofessional. Had to find another Dr to get our dogs needs taken care of. Wouldn’t go back.

I would not bring my pet here if you plan on having healthy pet soon. I brought my puppy here for a diagnosis paid for blood work and kennel cough test which they performed there an hour later they said please bring saliva swab because I believe they lost simce I saw them take a swab when I was there, the results were supposed to come on monday didnt recieve a call on tuesday I called they said we will call you back which they didnt I called following day still nothing on friday they called to say he was positive for kennel cough during the mean time the other vet has been trying to get all results for bloodwork and such they arent sending, long story short I believe they did not do anything and could potentially had a worse problem do not bring your pet here if you care for their well being, plus its a waste of time and money find someone who actually cares about your pet.

Our dog was extremely itchy. He itched so bad he changed the color of his skin on his belly, his coat was very thin and he layed around miserable most of the time, in the summertime especially. He had 2 hematomas on his ear that required surgery because of the itching. It was extreme and terrible to watch. We spent big$$ on vets, remedies, we tried anything to give him relief. Eventually he was on steroids for much of the summer which stopped the itching but it started up again as soon as he was off.He had the allergy testing done at Grove Animal Hospital, Dr, Carlson gave me a good explanation of why he itches and recommended a grain free diet first, then he started on drops prescribed at the clinic based on his allergy test. This is the first summer we havent been to the vet several times for steroids. He has had no steroids and very little itching since the winter which is when he started the drops, no flare up this summer!! His coat is nice and he is a happy dog!!! Thanks Grove and Dr Carlson.

Dr. Carlson and his team are the best because they are knowledgeable, friendly, and actually care about your fur baby. Dr. Carlson is the only Veterinarian who has been able to successfully manage my Debos (Debo is my dog) chronic health issues; allergies, ear infections, digestive & skin problems. Dr. Carlson did testing to determine what was causing the imbalance in Debos systems so they can be corrected. He treats the actual problem, not the symptoms. Recommend 100%.

Dr. Carlson and Dr. Krausser are wonderful! My youngest Akita has severe allergies, Dr. Carlsons recommendations and holistic treatments are the only cure Ive found that actually worked. I love that the holistic test shows what he is sensitive to and I know what to avoid with him. Not only has Dr. Carlson helped my boy with severe allergies, he also cured my other dog of a fungal disease. My boy was in remission for just over a year and was recently sick again. Dr. Carlson and Dr. Krausser cured him a 2nd time! I thought for sure I was going to put him down, but both doctors offered me many options, including vitamin C therapy, and within days he was 100% better!! I love that they also support raw feeding! I highly recommend visiting Grove Animal Hospital and Holistic Center!!!!!
