I did not want to respond to this guys opinion, but I owe it to my loyal customers an explanation why this persons vehicle is not getting done. I went over and beyond for what he is putting out there. I do have photos from start to finish on his vehicle. I presented to him exactly what is wrong with what is visible, I cannot fix what I can not see. The vehicle was in perfect condition when it left my shop. I can honestly say these newer cars have nothing but plastic holding them together. I did not know he wanted super glue holding his front bumper. These new vehicles are supposed to snap together and thats exactly what I did. If other issues are appearing then obviously youre having another problem besides what Ive already repaired. I explained this repeatedly to the customer. In turn he took it upon himself to put out there something that was completely wrong about me and my business. I do have other customers I attend to so I know it is hard to get back to everybody, in this case he said I ignored him which I did not. I do have a small business but I also have a life to live. This customer was contacting me on the weekends and around his schedule that worked for him. I went out of my way and still felt like I was not appreciated in what I was giving this person, so yes I decided to have him move along because I did what he paid for. So at this point I was not gonna respond back to finger pointing so I left it alone and decided to Let him resolve this in his own way which had nothing to do with me or my business because again like I said I did what I was paid for additional work that comes along with additional pay. Like he said in his post he paid to get super glue on his bumper. I do not do that, sorry my customers deserve better than that. I have been in business for years and sometimes this is what happens when people try to take advantage of small businesses. I will proceed in doing what i do best, sorry I can not win all customers, but will definitely keep pushing forward for my repeat customers and new customers. Have a blessed day.
I had a front bumper on my Sienna van that was 10 yrs old that the support brackets cracked on from drying out. I had Richard give me an estimate to repair the bumper. He did fine on the painting and the bumper replacement, but did not replace the 2 support brackets. This still caused the bumper not to connect to the upper quarter panels. I returned for the support brackets on Aug 13. I had him replace the 2 support brackets, but the new bumper still pushed out about an inch on each side. I paid for both of these repairs. At this point, all of the material and labor was done that could be done, however, my bumper still would not stay tied into the upper quarter panels. My first appt was in July of 2020 and Richard assured me from the onset that he would do everything he needed to make sure the job was done right. As soon as I got home after both repairs, I told Richard that the bumper was still not aligning correctly and sent photos to show him. On both the first and second visit, we agreed to let the bumper relax to see if it would stay fit up, but it would not. For the next 2 months, I tried to get Richard to look at the bumper and see what we could do to get it to fit up correctly. It was at that point he tried to tell me that he did all that he could do and that the car must have been wrecked or something happened to it to have this problem still exist. I used him because he is trying to get his business built up I was trying to support a small business. But at that point, he kept putting me to the back of the line to bring the vehicle back and finally quit returning my texts and calls all together. I took the bumper to another body shop. We pulled it and identified that the new bumpers rigidity was pushing the clips off their seats and we used an epoxy to get them to seat correctly. All for under $100 and a few hours of labor. We could have resolved this, but Richard did not do what I would consider to be all that he could to make things right. Placing blame and not working with me was NOT what I expected from his commitment at the start of the job. I could resolve this in small claims court, however, I felt the best way to resolve it was to post to others so they know of the problems I had getting resolution to his work. Although his work is good, his customer service is NOT. Be aware if you use him for your auto body repairs. Im sorry I have to post this because I want small businesses to succeed. But please NEVER resort to telling a customer that they or their car is the problem. LOOK FIRST, then work to resolve.
Good job the job he did on my car was amazing.
