Theres definitely something to be said for going to places of business that are specialized in what you need. When you need a locksmith go to the pros. Griffin Locksmith is the one you just cant beat. You can go to those big box hardware stores and get a key made and it may fit. More often than not that key has to be jiggled to work, wearing out your lock and your patience. Go to Griffin and get it done right the first time!

I called to get my house unlocked after the code on the lock stopped working. They were the third locksmith I had called, so admittedly I was already a little upset but was keeping my cool while on the phone. The lady who answered the phone for Griffin asked me 4-5 times for my deed to the house after I told her I had just moved in and everything was in the moving truck that I am waiting to get here. She then asked me how long I’ve lived at this house, and I told her for the third time that I’d just moved in 3 days ago. She then asked me in a condescending tone why I didn’t have my keys on me? I told her because the previous owners did not leave any keys, just the code for this lock that doesn’t work and I haven’t had the time to get the locks changed because I just moved in. She sounded very accusatory, and said that she needed proof of ownership, and implied that I was a thief. She then asked about another door, and I told her that the gate to the back door was locked, so we would have to cut off the lock to the gate to get to it, and that the back door was a deadbolt. She used her condescending tone again and said, “Oh my. That is a problem, isn’t it?” She then asked me for the deed again, and I told her I don’t have it on me. What am I supposed to do? Carry my deed around in my purse? No one has to provide proof of ownership to get a car unlocked. Anyway, I tell her (again) that I don’t have the deed on me, the best I have is my contract for the house somewhere in my e-mail. She says that will work and to e-mail it to her. She then asks me for my e-mail address so she can send me an e-mail with directions then I can send her the contract. I start to give her my e-mail address, which is all singular letters that do not make any words, and she stops me and asks: “k as in kilo?” I say that’s correct, and I give her my full e-mail address using the phonetic alphabet since I could tell she also knows the phonetic alphabet. She then tells me, “Good job!” as if I’m 5 years old. That was when the conversation was over for me. I’m an adult. Do not speak to me like I’m a child. I’m also in the military. Of course I know the phonetic alphabet. She was extremely insulting and condescending. I never yelled at her, I never said anything passive aggressive, but my tone became extremely short and impatient with her. I did not use them to get into my house. I will not be recommending this business to anyone, and will warn people to not use them.

Called to request some more information on an old safe with a key pad that seemed to give me issues. I wish I would’ve caught the gentleman’s name but he asked me to email him a picture of the key pad to troubleshoot if it was a battery issue. He told me how to access the battery compartment and change them out and it worked. He was so quick and so helpful!

Had a Mopar locking gas cap that didn’t come with any wafers or springs to key it. We don’t have a lock smith here, the dodge dealer in Bryan recommended these folks. They had me in and out in a few minutes. I think the price was very reasonable to. I’d definitely use them again.

Do not use Griffen Locksmith. They are very unprofessional. Called them to unlock truck, he was complaining the whole time he was there. Being very rude and arguing with me over the window tint, which was not relevant. He was just their to get the truck unlocked. He also was yelling at me while I was trying to direct him to the lock.... not sure why he was asking me to help I called them to help me lol. I had to ask him to leave, because of his behavior. Worst experience ever

As an aircraft mechanic I understand accidents happen but their complete unwillingness to rectify the situation and the attitude of the employee on the phone was inexcusable. The price was steep but we paid it thinking we were getting quality work done, not black hardware scratched to silver.

I lost my keys while I was visiting Aggieland Safari, so we were quite a distance outside of town. Even so, Griffin was able to respond to my call very quickly and come unlock my truck. The person who answered my call was super -- very helpful and friendly, and the locksmith arrived quickly even though we were far outside of town.

SUPER SATISFIED.These guys are great. Someone locked my keys in my trunk and no one, not even the car dealership could get it open. But I brought it here and they opened it in literally 2 minutes. Everyone was super sweet and it was a very good experience. Definitely coming back to them if I have a problem again!

I got a quote to get a key cut and coded for one price over the phone, after we already made arrangements for it to be towed Cindy told us it was going to be $50 more. It was their fault they quoted us the first price but instead of honoring the price and acknowledging they screwed up Cindy said and Im paraphrasing we could pay the $50 more or take our business somewhere else. Just because they are the only locksmith in town does it mean customer service should go out the window.

These guys are fantastic. My old keys were so worn down after almost 300k miles I was having trouble getting it to work in the ignition. They knew exactly what was going on with my vehicle, cut a new factory key and everything was as good as new.

Since opening our account, they have taken care of everything we needed immediately. Another locksmith told me that our key blank style is uncommon and no one in BCS would carry it, but Griffin does. Theyre not focused on big smiles and pleasantries, but they are great at getting things done and making sure you have what you need.

I was in and out in 15 minutes. They were moderately busy with the phone constantly ringing and they repaired my lock quick. Super professional. And their store is fun to roam in while youre waiting.

This has been my locksmith of choice for 30 years. They are always friendly, helpful and prompt on service calls. The quality of their work is exceptional. If you have a problem, they have the solution.

I was helped primarily by Dawn, and she is awesome! Everyone was nice to talk with and I will definitely be a repeat customer if I ever need anything again. Their pricing was much more affordable than what the local Nissan dealer quoted me, which was ridiculous. Please understand that another dealer might be more reasonable. It stinks that the modern keys are so very costly when a plain key used to cost $5, but I was able to get out with two keys, that I supplied (no guarantee from Griffin which is understandable) that were cut, coded, and the internal fobs working for about $200. I call that a deal since that was about what I was quoted from the dealer to get one plain chipped key. Call ahead for a quote and compare with your dealer, but Ill bet if you go here you will likely get off a better deal.

I recommend a better standardized process for handling unfamiliar customers high security key requests. Rather than just explaining that their policy did not allow for providing my key copies (and returning my key as requested) I was subjected to a defensive demeanor and a level of beratement by staff and manager. Issues were resolved after much offense, but I cant say that the experience encouraged a good business partnership going forward.

I locked my keys inside my car, and I was in Caldwell just 10 minutes away from College Station. I called this area since it was closest to my location the lady was RUDE and interrupted me and to TOP it off they tried to charge me $100+, as a college student,there was no way I was spending that much to have someone unlock my door. I recommend calling The Lock Doc! These people will overcharge knowing that this is a college town. A bunch of crooks.

After charging $75 to re-key 2 handles and 2 deadbolts we got them home and noticed multiple deep scratches on all of the hardware that was not there before. So theyre over priced and theyll mess up your property. We even called and told them about this issue and they couldnt care less. Id take your business elsewhere.

Called them earlier and they quoted me $70 to cut a new key from them. Called them later that afternoon with a OEM remote key from the factory and they were asking $120 for the cut, more than the dealer price. The lackadaisical man I spoke with didnt seem to care when I told him he lost my business because he uncharged $50 from my previous quote. These guys are crooks, plain and simple. Buyer beware!

No star from me! I am disabled and while in bryan Texas my key broke in half! I was stranded and hot I called this place first on website! They was rude and wanted 265.00 to come 1 mile! I would never recommend them to anyone! I Find a company to come out for 45 + 25 per key! Wow what a price difference!
