I have been a customer since 2017. I have home, auto, umbrella and renters policies through a carrier they represent. My carrier began raising my rates on auto. Granted I have added a young driver and new vehicle to my policies, but have never had a claim with them or any other insurance provider. I called the agency and spoke with Shelley about some alternate programs with my carrier that were available to save some money as one of the vehicles is not driven more than 3 or 4 thousand mikes a year. She was not familiar with these programs and said she could offer the programs to me. But I am able to get them from the insurance provider. I then asked why my premiums were so high. She said oh it’s because you have a $100 deductible on comp. she then tells me I can save $54 per year if I raise it to $500. Which I wouldn’t do because of windshield and incidental damage. She did not offer at that time to research any other options. I told her I would make some calls myself which I did. Other providers were more than happy to walk me through options and cost savings. I ended up switching everything to Allstate with better coverage and a $1500 savings. Amazingly, after the fact, Shelley called me back and said she had found several options that were cheaper. I told her to cxl my policies and let me know how the premium refunds would returned. She said she would call me on Monday. Guess what, no cal. I had to call her on Tuesday and wait another 4 hours for her to return my call. On that call she could explain the specifics of the refund and when I asked questions she interrupted me. I tried to explain why I was taking my business elsewhere and again she interrupted me. She then told me she was ending the call and hung up. I called back and left a message for Andy(owner). They have not called me once in over 4 years to do a policy review, I am leaving because I don’t feel valued as a customer after all the money I have spent. The customer service from Shelley was terrible and she acted like she didn’t care if I was a customer or not. Bottom line is that being personable, providing great customer service and trying to find the best solutions for your clients goes a long way. I did not get that from them.
