If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. I was talked into creating a small floor plan with them and they convinced me that they would be the best as well as this process being fast and I received the complete opposite. I paid for the fast service which ended up taking 2+ months. It was always difficult to contact the person in charge, I never got calls back. I ended up having to randomly show up to get a response/update on my floor plan. After finally getting my floor plan, I can say I would never go here again.

Ramiro worked closely with us in designing our personal home. He listened attentively and put together our ideas into the design of our new home. The work and craftsmanship that we see in Mr. Ramiro Lucas designs are like no other that are here in the valley. We hope and pray that we will be getting our future forever home under way soon, and of course we are absolutley going to be going with Lucas designs to get us started. We’ve had a great experience designing our dream home. The team was able to bring our vision to life. They have been very helpful throughout the entire process and patient. The Lucas design group was always quick to answer my questions and never more than a phone call away. We worked directly with Mr. Lucas and he always answered my calls regardless of the time. The entire team is very knowledgeable and great to work with.

From our initial contact with Lucas Design Group, Mr. Lucas was very accommodating when scheduling a meeting for our new home design. He offered recommendations, building upon the home layout we had in mind, and then ensured that all our specifications were met in the design. When it came time to select a builder, he helped us find one that was the right fit for our project. He was kind enough to set up the meeting with the construction company. The CAD drawings and animated video rendering of the final design were incredible and really helped us envision the details that you just cant capture on a 2D blueprint. Were very pleased with our dream home design, and we cant wait to see the project come to fruition. Would I recommend Lucas Design Group? YES, and highly! Mr. Lucas is an exceptional and honest designer who will never steer you wrong.

A custom home builder referred us to Ramiro Lucas because of his reputation to deliver timely, detailed and well thought out home plans. After reviewing a portfolio of his work, we met at our lot to discuss our home. Ramiro quickly put our ideas to paper. We reviewed our home plans progress electronically via e-mail. Ramiro is patient, easy to work with and able to make almost immediate design changes. The whole process was excellent from start to finish. We highly recommend Lucas Design Group to anyone ready to design their own custom home.

He also claims to be an Engineer/Contractor on his Facebook page. My experience with them was terrible. I asked him for a specific design and he could NEVER deliver what I wanted. After 9 months of waiting for final plans of my dream home I finally gave up and fired him. . I wish there was an option for ZERO STARS!

He is very patient and open to changes here and there, he replies to emails and messages on a timely matter, and his staff is wonderful. My experience was very disappointing. When I first met with the Ramiro, he sold his services and made agreements that were not met. After your initial consultation and payment you get routed to a group of team members. The team does no listen to your wants, does not make the changes, and takes more than expected for the times. This company does not take any accountability and initiative to give great service. I would take the money somewhere else.

Lucas Design Group delivered on every aspect of our expectations for our first home. Their expertise and professionalism put us at ease. We walked into their office without knowing what our exact style is but walked out with the perfect design for us, a modern contemporary look which fitted our needs both esthetically and practically. Lucas Design Group in Brownsville area is the best in the Custom Home arena. The homes are true custom homes! We came with a lot of crazy ideas and Mr. Lucas worked with us to come up with our dream home. What i liked most about him was his patient, as we went back and forth on some of our original desires for the house. He also came up with innovative suggestions for us and guided us when we didnt understand something about the process. My name is Marco Garcia and graduated from UT San Antonio as a Civil Engineer since 2007.I highly recommend Ramiro Lucas to anyone who wants a professional set of plans to build their dream home.Ended up choosing Lucas Design Group (LDG) because they design true custom homes! Truly enjoyed designing my house with Ramiro because he was very professional, responsive, and patient - unlike some others who never respond to calls/emails or if you have any changes they immediately try to charge you $$$ extra.I am a very thorough engineer, therefore it took me almost 3 months to design my floorplan. In multiple occasions I had some details updated on my set of drawings, and Ramiro was very prompt to do the changes and reasonable as well, since he did not charge me any additional $$$ fees.Recommend everybody to do their homework, research, and individually meet with each designer, so that you can ultimately have a basis to compare and then clearly understand why Ramiro Lucas has the best residential design team in the entire RGV area. Thanks LDG!!!
