Fernando did an OUTSTANDING job I always pay $6 at CP Cuts but ladies always rush since they charge cheap and need more customers but the quality of haircut it’s just that $6. I payed almost 3xs the amount but wow what a difference the hair cut made. I will definitely keep coming here now my son has a stylish haircut for his soon to be bday. Loved the hip hop music videos from my time and nice and clean environment. Thank you Fernando you definitely deserved a good tip. See u again in 2 weeks.😀❤️🥰

Called to see if they comfortable cutting long hair. Guy on the line .....um..yeah sounding like he trying to sacrifice my hair for a quick buck. I ask if they got any experience cutting long hair, the line goes quiet for 20 seconds before i had to hang up.Business must be good because I dont remember the last time a barber thought he could sell me a service with as much confidence as someone who practiced shearing sheep naked on a farm.Only go here for fades probably.

This place is great! I had my haircut yesterday and this is by far the best barber shop or hair stylist here in Brownsville! I love the black bike that’s being displayed! Kids are welcome they do a great job on cutting their (kids) hair! I RECOMMEND this shop all the way! If there’s 10 stars I would rate it a 10!!! A++++ continue the awesome job guys!!!!

I loved how he made it seem like he was a customer for years, yet we’ve only been there twice. We will definitely continue to go! Owner was very attentive with clients needs! Overall great place!

The service is great, haircuts are always fresh and clean. Good price and they take their time with the cuts. Ive been going there for over 2 months and I have not been disapponted . I recommend this location to anyone looking for a clean fade, or even a simple haircut. Also the environment is very welcoming, they have music playing, a billiard/pool table and they offer drinks when they have them available.

Got a haircut on December 24th. When I was paying, they tell me its $25. Haircuts are $15 and they didnt have any signs they were $25. They said their barbers wanted to be with their families too. I could understand if it were the 25th, which is a legal holiday. The 24th is not a legal holiday!

I finally let my beard grow and it was okay but I needed that extra help. Thus, I found myself searching for a good barber shop here and there until I stumbled with Handsome House; the name said it all. Even though I live in Hidalgo/McAllen I drove to Brownsville to check this place out and I wasn’t disappointed. The drive was worth it. I was impressed by the simplicity and style of the barbershop as I walked in the door. No words could explain how welcomed I felt going into this place like even the walls had welcomed me as well. It was my first time ever going to a barber shop. I mean, the first time I had a full beard with no patches and what not in my life; so, it was a new experience for me. While I waited for my turn I got to enjoy a game of pool that made waiting a fun experience but that wasn’t all. Once they call my name I was a little nervous; specially, because of my beard. I didn’t want them to screw it up when I worked so hard to finally have a full beard. I sat down and explain how I wanted my hair and the beard and just closed my eyes (I was nervous). The lady was so good at what she was doing that I ended up falling asleep! Not just falling asleep but that good sleep where your body drops your heartbeat to the bear minimum to keep the vital organs alive; in other words, “estaba cabeceando” and she had just started with my hair. It was embarrassing but she played it so cool that we joked about it. Honestly, I lost count how many times I knocked out through the haircut (No podía dejar de cabecear del sueño rico que me daba). Next was my beard, and I was so at peace that I wasn’t even nervous at all; maybe, because I was still dozing off to the point that I didn’t care no more. I let her do her magic while I enjoyed the process. I didn’t want it to end but like they say “ all good things must come to an end.” My experience at Handsome House was amazing as well as the end product. My hair and beard are on point that now I look forward my next trip to Brownsville.

Not sure why business hours are not followed here. I showed up at 4:27 pm and the door was locked on me. Open sign was still on and time said It was open until 5 pm. Was going to be my second time here but I won’t be back again.
