LCS has done a good job for me over the last few years. I have used them for both lawn and tree care services. Reasonable prices and good service both at my home and over the phone. Reminders or a notice of when they are going to show up could be a little earlier but not really an issue. Just a nitpick.
I have used LCS for 4 years now and couldn’t be happier with the results! I refer all my family and friends to LCS! They are very good about notifying you about upcoming service and letting you know results after service is done. Our account manager Denny has been great to work with and is very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend LCS for anyone looking for the greenest lawn in the neighborhood!
An update to this (3/22/19): After seeing my initial review last summer, Jim Nugent (the west branch manager at LCS) promptly contacted me to apologize for the issues on their end, and to offer to do what he could to help remedy the issue. Jim made four visits out to our house the rest of the summer, to personally treat the crabgrass in our yard, and offered to refund us the rest of our money for 2018 when it appeared hed done all he could. Even after that, he stopped out to the house to aerate the lawn at the end of the fall -- and early in the spring, our lawn is looking much better than it did after our initial issues last summer. The initial issues we had with LCS were regrettable, but Jim made it clear he wanted to make things right, and did everything he could to make that happen, which was much appreciated. Thats why Im revising my initial review to give LCS a couple extra starts, for Jims responsiveness and efforts to address our concerns.--------Were in our third year of lawn care with LCS, after being referred to the company by a friend. Wed seen progress with weed control through the first two years, but things have been so bad in the last 12 months that Im quite certain well be looking for a different provider next year -- once we get done tearing up our front lawn and starting over after removing all the weeds that are there. We had crabgrass in some areas wed re-seeded last spring, which was to be expected, and grubs tore apart a large section of our lawn last summer, so LCS recommended we do early-season grub treatment. Great, we said. Obviously, 18 inches of snow on April 15 are going to change the spring lawn care schedule for anyone, but once the snow melted, we made several phone calls to LCS to see when theyd be coming out for our early-season treatment. All we got was, We dont have a date yet, but itll be soon. OK, I said -- but we need to start putting down grass seed to repair some of the damaged areas of our lawn. LCS responded by telling us we could put seed down, and theyd just avoid putting pre-emergent on the spots where wed applied new seed.Well, Memorial Day weekend rolled around, and LCS finally said they were coming out to do our early-season treatment. After several phone calls telling us we could put seed down, their phone call 24 hours before the appointment came from a staffer who was fairly condescending as she told us we shouldnt have seeded our front lawn. We rushed out to get black dirt on the newly-seeded areas, and reminded LCS, once again, that theyd told us theyd just avoid putting pre-emergent on the newly seeded areas, which were fairly obvious. In the end, they didnt put pre-emergent on ANY areas of the lawn (despite charging us for the service in our first treatment). I called LCS last month to tell them how upset I was, and that Id be firing them at the end of the year if things didnt change; I got a, Well, well put an ASAP notice on your next appointment and get out there soon to take a look at it. ASAP, as it turned out, was a week later.Id estimate probably 60 percent of our front lawn is now crabgrass, and its starting to take over in the backyard, which had previously been in fairly good shape. The second treatment, which included grub control, finally came a couple weeks ago, but its too late to stop the crabgrass. Im barely able to mow my front lawn without the crabgrass overwhelming the mower, and im in the process of looking for a special blade just to deal with the crabgrass.Once we hit the reboot button on our front lawn this fall, well be looking for a lawn care company that exhibits more consistent communication genuine concern for their customers than LCS has. If anybody has any recommendations along those lines, were all ears. I should get to bed; tomorrow will be another day of dealing with the crabgrass that LCS shrugged off.
The best lawn service around and the best place to work at they take pride in there work
